Thank you! I feel likethey send a standard letter to everybody. They asked for medical exams, which already submitted (k1), affidavit of support (if not submitted yet) and I already sent. And all the normal documents like birth certificate, passport, divorce decree, proof of relationship, etc. nothing crazy. Im just gonna take the whole application that I first mailed and new proof of relationship

Ok I already sent most of them just need to print out more pictures of us and bring everything they sent us.. thank you .. keep us updated..

    Congrats! Nice timing. haha

They likely adjudicated both. The online tracker didn't update the I-131 status until a few months after my wife received the combo card and approval notices for both the I-765 + I-131

Thank you lol & I know right that was fast! Something was telling me to open the app the afternoon 🤣🤣I hope it’s together.. he deserves to visit his family soon.

No problem! Ask away...I'll answer as I am available.

She filed in Sept. 2017 and got the EAD + AP combo card (it's just 1 card that acts as both) in early January. So it was a little over 3 months for her, but this was before the backlogs got even worse...now it's typically taking 3-6 months.

So when he receives the card he can travel & come back without any issues? That update was such a waste then.. thank you so much I’ll try to not come back on here not I’ll be going nuts again lol but thank you again you’re so helpful!

Yeah, NYC is pretty backlogged too. :(

No, my wife is still waiting for an interview date. She has an EAD + AP, at least, though. So it's not optimal, but for the most part we just go on living normally while we wait out the process.

omggg I was correct a million years..

i keep mistaking the green card for the EAD.. so how long did it take for her to receive those two combo cards.. sorry for asking so many questions but I don’t want to keep my mind so busy and abandon the case & get in trouble

    Congrats. Thanks for the update.

What's next is waiting for the local USCIS field office to have an open interview slot for you. You will receive an interview notice when that occurs. Then you interview.

How long that takes various by local USCIS office. Mine personally has been in that status since November 2017. The Philadelphia office is severely backlogged.

It's possible to get an approval without an interview for K-1..although this interview waiver was recently removed from the general interview waiver criteria, so IO would proceed expecting one.

I was trying to send it last year also but I forgot what the hold up was .. I don’t even know where my local office is.. I do know they sent that letter from Missouri.. i live in NYC so it’s probably one thousand years till my interview since a lot of people files here.. did your wife get her green card tho? I thought yours was completed

As an employee (i.e. not self-employed), this would be how much you earn in a 12 month period. Pay stubs and an employment letter would be the best evidence of this (although tax returns as still required).

For example, if you make $1,000/paycheck and get paid every 2 weeks, that would be $1,000 * 26 (# pay periods in a year) = $26,000. This applies regardless of what you made last year on your taxes.

This assumes you don't have any income from other eligible household members (although they would follow the same rules).

My mother makes 18hr weekly pay 40000+ for the year

I’ve read lots on here with folks worried about taxes. We filed AOS and sent 2016.

im certain the the instructions on the USCIS website it says to submit your most recent tax filing.

Are people actually getting rfe’s for this?

USCIS can’t do that (I don’t think...!) because it’s on their website to submit the most recent year.

Most people didn't receive their w2s yet that's why 2016 have been sent

Lmao that's the exact reason why I sent it also. I'm more stressed out than my husband.. he is more patient

I guess. Im not familiar with all the tax forms as a foreigner, but tax Return is a paper that says Federal tax Return 2017, at least Thats what my husband is filing every year and our co sponsor and Thats what we attached (for 3 years). We didnt attach it for 2017 as they both didnt fill it at the time but we attached their letters of employment and pay stubs and No RFE yet, but I am expecting one for that reason anyway.

Ooh ok .. well you should be getting a RFE for that because I have one on the way for that reason .. I have my mom tax copies already for the damn mail to come

    Hey Guys, !

    Question for you!

I sent my AOS on March 30th and I have been tracking it.

Since Monday the USPS tracking says

“April 1st 2018, available for pick up. Your item has arrived at the Chicago, IL 60680 post office and is ready for pick up”

Can anyone shed any light on this? :) (Its pretty self explanatory I guess! I’m just paranoid) I’ve also seen people on this thread mentioning people signing their packages etc. What does that mean? I’m just making sure everything is going smooth thus far!

    Thanks guys!

Not sure it never happened to me.
