What about applying the Clinton criteria to Moore?  What you said was essentially that a person would be unreasonable to ignore the mounting evidence against Moore.  Well we has a similar situation a few years back which is clearly comparable.  You can argue times change, etc, but rape is rape and has been for a long time in this country and Bill Clinton gets a pass.  Why is that?

Please define the similar accusations?  Last I read, most of those were deemed not credible and honestly even though there was an underage rape accusation against Trump and Bill Clinton's friend Mr. Epstein, it was dropped.

The question at hand is whether Moore should get a pass. You seem to favor that position. Should Moore get a pass, because he is not the first one accused of sexual assault and rape? Does the fact that he is not the first in his class makes him suitable for the senate?

some folks from the philippines overstayed their visa, ruined it for everybody. some folks from south america crossed the border illegally, and now us tax payers have to build a big beautiful see thru wall. life isn't fair.

Many, many people have also abused and continue to abuse the open border the VWP represents, and somehow we don't see anyone in congress calling for the end of it.

No, there is not a special type of visa for people from the Philippines. But it is VERY hard for regular people to get a tourist visa from there.

So, the other poster was misinformed when he said there was a special visa.

I have to say however, that the bar for getting a tourist visa for the US is the same for everyone, and yes, it is not an easy seal to obtain.

Any other immigrants doing it legally that is.  It is one of the reasons I am on this site, and try to help when I can do things legally.  Of course there will always be those that try to skirt the laws and hence this is why we need to include border security any time we start discussing immigration reform.  As to if the DV program should keep going, I don't think it should be based on the issue of the NYC idiot, but it should be decided based on the fact that we are robbing several countries of their best and brightest.

    Are we kidnapping them?

I think what someone needs to do is prove he was at the restaurant he said he never heard of. That should be easy enough to do and should put the last 2 nails in the coffin.

He did that himself in the yearbook of the girl he allegedly never met, where he mentions the restaurant of which he claims never heard. He must have forgotten about these details. He probably thought no evidence existed from 40 years ago.

Who here ever defended Weiner? That dude was a creeper.

The issue here will never be whether he gets prosecuted. The cases were too long ago.

It is about whether he deserves a political position. The answer to that is clearly no. Yet there are several hold outs.

The answer is whether we need this type of pervert in the senate. Let's hope the people of Alabama take the right side of history this time.

If Roy Moore is proven guilty and some statue has not run out I agree. He was a DA and more than anyone should have known better.

Still there is no proof.  Although I think the far left has sung

That was supposed to be fat lady has sung.  Darn auto correct , but funny none the less

There are the words of five of his victims at least, and his lying about one of them.

Odd that a site populated by people that have spent many 1000s of dollars and waited in some cases years for the their  loved ones to be approved,  should have a problem with illegal immigration.  The nerve

I don't think it has anything to do with what you describe. In reality, anyone who has been through the maze of immigration would naturally feel some sort of empathy for other immigrants.

Well based on what we know Weiner was sexting an underage girl. Roy Moore possibly groped some.

That being said, Weiner is facing prison time and is no longer in politics. The same should occur for Roy Moore.

I am yet to understand how Weiner seems to justify Moore, in the minds of the MDR/MOR. I thought their so-called moral values to be absolute, which isn't obviously the case. Unable to objectively look at Moore as the pedophile he is, they seem to need to refer to other morally-equivalent individuals, as a means to reconcile their inability to be critical about Moore.

That is the interesting thing about this whole case.  Pedophiles are notorious for never being able to be, for lack of a better word, changed.  If Moore is a pedophile, where are the reports more current than 30-40 years ago?

It's hard for victims to come forward, because they have to relive their experience, and be subjected to negative criticism. We still live in a society where many believe the victims have played some part, and have some responsibility over that befell upon them.

That there aren't recent victims doesn't make him any less of a pedophile.

In fact, we should be questioning his character, considering that he lied on camera saying he didn't know one of the victims nor the restaurant where she worked, when he clearly did. Any credibility he sough went out of the window with this lie - and his victim had proof of his lying.
