Thanks! My fiance called their customer service but he didn't ask to be transferred to a tier 2 officer. But yeah, some people say tier 2 officers have a better way of checking the case status. :D

Yes that's correct. The first person you speak to is a CSR and they do not have access to the same data base as USCIS officer (Tier 2). I had to wait 2 hours for a return call. When he called he was very helpful and confirmed the front line CSR personnel do not access to the same data base.

So you speaking to someone who is using the same broken system that we have access to.

FYI we received our NOA2 approval on 05/5 and the USCIS app still shows our case status as "Received" 138 days. Thank God that isn't the case.

Good luck to you both on receiving your NOA2 shortly. I'm sure your patience is really being tested right now

Same link to schedule interview online for MNL: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ApplicantHome

From the menu, go to Reschedule Appointment. You should see the calendar for availability.

See, you can always check and see if there are openings. Most people who encounter further delays like medical or other things are required to reschedule their initial interview appointments. Now you can reschedule only once without paying the fee again. It currently shows there's an opening on June 6, 9, then the 3rd week of June.

Hi thanks. When we opened the link to schedule her interview the earliest date available was July 17th. Any event we are going to hold with this date since she needs to have her medical along with her son and that has to be done at least 7 days is advance.

Appreciate the information and good luck with the rest of you visa application.

Administrative Processing, could be doing some extra security checks or something. Hopefully nothing too complicated.

When I called yesterday and they gave me our case # the woman also told me that they were just entering our case and it would be a few days before we could move forward. I checked our case on the NVC website and our case is registered.

I wouldn't worry about it I think this is standard language they use.

    Good luck!!!

  4. Just got off the phone with NVC. She gave me our MNL and Invoice number.

She also indicated that our case is being entered into the system today.

Our NOA2 date is 05/05 and 17 days after receiving our MNL#.

Anyone with a 05/05 NOA2 date should call the NVC number today.

Also the better number to call is 603-334-0888.

Make sure you have your applicants DOB and proper spelling of her last name.

Our prayers go out to those filers who have not received their NOA2 approval. God we know how painful it was to get our NOA2 after 108 days days of waiting and know how frustrating this must be to all those who are still waiting on their case to either be touched or approved.

All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. This thread has been so supportive to Rona we don't know how we would have gotten this far in the process without the support of everyone here. I feel that we are connected is a very special way having gone through this process with everyone.

Here's to all of you for a speedy NOA2 and POE.

    God bless all of you!!!!

Just confirming that my NOA2 came almost 1 week ago as a hardcopy. Still no change on my online status, and I bet I'm not the only one. It's too bad that they won't fix it, or even acknowledge that it is even a problem. So much for transparency. LOL

Agree. We received our hard copy NOA2 on May 11th, approval date of 5/05 and our online status still shows as "Received". Despite several people calling USCIS advising they have a reporting problem with the website not being updated there is no priority to fix the problem.

I called 3 times early last week, my call was finally escalated to an USCIS officer, had to wait 2 hours for them to return my call and was told by the officer that she was going to send an alert to their IT reporting section for action.

That was over a week ago and their website is still not fixed. Either their ignoring our calls or their having problems trying to fix the problem. As you know this has been going on since the end of last month.

God how sad and frustrating this must be on all Jan filers still waiting to receive their case updates.  You are all in our prayers to receive notice on your case next week.

Ran the 5/18 stats last night. Please remember that we are missing about 800 approvals in this data it seems. So untouched is much lower that what is seen here. I figured this would be helpful regardless.

We are praying for you and the rest of the Jan filers to receive your NAO2. You are so deserving after all this time waiting to receive approval or at least have your case touched knowing that someone is continuing to review you files.

God we can so relate to how painful it was waiting each day to receive notification and now knowing USCIS is no longer updating the scripts or their website can only add to your frustration.

Just know good news is coming your way very soon and we are all cheering you on to receive notification next week.

Has anyone called the NVC prior to the 14 day Mark? It's so tempting to call!

There is still 2 more days left for some good news, i hope everybody wi'll hear something!

I called yesterday with a NOA2 date of May 5th and they still don't have our case number. She told me they are realistically running 3 weeks out for processing cases.

That has always been my experience too.  I have been 6 times and never had a problem, but never with a one way ticket.  I may just buy a ticket to Singapore or Hong Kong, for less that $100 as insurance.

When are you going again Martin?

Probably in August to after my fiance's visa is approved to collect her and her son to bring them here to the states.

Good luck and if you have any other questions feel free to reach out.

Has anyone gone to the philippines with a one way ticket?

I want to go for my fiances interview and bring them back with me once they get their visas.  Since we dont know when that will be i was thinking of buying a one way there and one way ticket to return.

Will this cause problems entering the philippines?

Traveled to the Philippines twice to visit my fiance. Philippine Imigration only asks how long is your visit, personal or business, what parts of the Philippines will you be traveling and your expected return date. They don't ask to see your return ticket however they do tell you that you have to leave the country in 30 days.

Please correct me if I am wrong. The next stage after NOA2, is NVC receive and that takes X amount of days for the receive to happen. The clock for X amount of days starts ticking as soon as they approve the petition, right? So if I get a letter today saying I was approved on 5/8, I am already 7 days into it?

    That's correct.

Question if anyone knows would be appreciated. What is need after you have the new case numbers from NVC? Got the new case numbers just waiting on the paper for NVC that they're going to sent out but want to start early if possible. My fiancée doesn't know that much English so I'll be doing most of the filing for her here in the states. Thanks

Here is a flowchart for the next steps of the process. You also need to check the VJ website or Google for the specific requirements of your beneficiary's country.

Hey everyone, I could use some help.

It has been 2 weeks since we recieved our NOA2, what happens now? We have all the documents gathered, do we need to call the NVC?What do we ask for? I'm just a little lost in terms of the next step.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks

You need to call the National Visa Center now to get your reference number that you will use to set up your medical and US Embassy appointments. I would recommend checking the specific requirements for the country your  beneficiary is living in.

Here is the link that contains a flowchart on VJ for the next steps that includes the NVC phone number.

Thank you very much for taking your time to do that.  I really hope the ELIS looks into the request in a timely manor.  Your efforts will hopefully help us who still have a few weeks of waiting left for NOA2....at least I hope the online status system is back working by then. :)

That was my focus to help those whose case had not been touched.

Hopefully someone at ELIS will work to correct the problem
