    JBMG got a reaction from cordoba2015 in NVC EP (Electronic processing) FILERS - May 2017
    Welcome to first thread dedicated to  EP (electronic processing) filers going through NVC.

    If processing by regular mail, head over to that thread.
    Following text was created by dswheels76.

    Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Before posting questions, please read the wikiSaylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!
    If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view Saylin's flowchart here.
    Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.
    If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process  That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.
    And once you've got a case complete, please join the case complete/interview thread started by, Dwheels76 on (currently May 2017 thread),
    Don't be annoyed.  You're lucky that you can do email processing. I've read that even with checklists, you can get a CC within 2-3 weeks. Whereas many of us snail mail filers have 11 weeks plus 11 weeks for any checklists..
    ps. The instructions clearly tell you to send everything in one email. Hence why you probably got the automatic checklist..
    i was told by another filer who has completed their case that the vaccinations must be proven with a vaccination or you will need to be vaccinated again.  the only one where a blood test will suffice is the MMR.  the medical doctors assigned by the embassy are costly.  vaccinations are an additional cost outside of the mandatory medical exam which cost US$200.  food for thought.
    Great reminder.. Suggestion to the forum moderators.. starting next month, maybe having 2 threads, separating "NVC email Filers" from "NVC Mail filers"?
    unfortunately yes
    for my experience, the emails I received from NVC were welcome letter, payment confirmation, then nothing
    there is no clear status check between package send to NVC till case completed
    so u need to call NVC
    do u use Fedex or similar? u can track if ur package arrived, then give 2-5 days to NVC to scan ur document into their system
    good luck!!
    after they received the documents to 'receiving room' it varies, some was scanned after 2-5 days, some a week after, and unfortunately mine after 2 months, so i suggest call NVC to ask if they 'received' your documents, and ask when do they received it,
    they will tell you to wait up to 11 weeks (currently) after your scan date
    Hi everyone,
    It appears that email processing is so much faster than mailing in the supporting docs. Could it be simply because there is a backlog of mailed documents sitting in the mailroom waiting to get scanned and uploaded into the NVC System?
    When you say "scan date", does it mean your documents have arrived at the NVC or that they were physically scanned into their system?
    For example, I'm looking for something like the following.
    Tracking says mail arrived on:
    NVC confirms documents arrived on:
    NVC scans documents on:
    NVC reviewed documents on:
    Received cc (case complete) on:
    i suggest you call NVC to confirm if they received your documents, call everyday until they told you they received it, and ask for the date when they scanned your documents, (it is the so called scan date, you'd see in this forum) because it is when the counting of 11 weeks starts
    +1-603-334-0700
    try calling them between EST 7:00am to 7:30am and EST 11:00-11:30PM to avoid waiting too much before talking to a rep
    yes
    you are so close, you may start calling them on your 10th week, you will hear them with the same answer that please allow 11 weeks, or wait after 11 weeks before calling,, but you may ask if they started reviewing your case, good luck
    They counted trom my scan date to when I would hit 11 weeks to give the date when I should hear from them by (to be honest I got case complete within that time, but my email from them was a day after my 11 weeks).  From when I was told my files have moved to the review dept it was either 6 or 8 days (I can't recall now)
    JBMG reacted to mallafri76 in avoiding checklist when using assets to qualify (split topic)
    No the requirement for the assets all came from the US Embassy. We were stuck at NVC because they lost our file.
    Usually, if you use assets, NVC will send you a checklist telling you that you may need a joint sponsor but that the final decision will be made by the CO at the interview, so it won't keep you at NVC.
    The joint account with your mother may be an issue. The assets are suppose to be able to be used as financial support for the immigrant as needed. With a joint account, your mother also have full access to that money, so it doesn't just belong to you. At the very least, I would expect that she needs to do an I-864a.
    Look up transferwise. They usually offer much cheaper transfer fees and better currency exchange rates than banks can. Do talk to a financial advisor in France to be aware of any penalties/reporting requirements for large amounts of money being transferred out of the country.
