    Hi

hiw long did it took the interview to set up?

i filed my case on June2, 2017 (I-485 based on k1) . We are waiting for the interview to set up since July 12 when it update the status that ur case is ready to interview. I filed in Sacramento (California)

i wonder which state & county did u file? & how long did u guys wait ?

    thanks

Hi , we applied January 24th. Received a rfe and responded within 10 days! Since then no status change for 8 months. On october 16th our status changed to interview is scheduled

our country is iraq and the field office is salt lake city utah

by the way, the processing time on the uscis website for salt lake city office reflects exactly the application processing at the office now but I am not sure about other places

I would make an info pass appointment, just to confirm everything is in order given that the IO was in training.  In the other hand it is normal.  I had my husbands interview, everything went well, then two days later our status changed to RFE, we dropped off the information needed a week later exactly a week after and our status did not change until 4 weeks later.  Our waiting time after the interview was 5 weeks.  In which case, we received the green card the same day we received the status change on the website.

    thank you

  3. Hi

so me and my wife had our interview 2 weeks ago. The interview was super great and the IO said that he cant approve it because he is in training and a supervisor need to review it. He said that he has some days off this month but he will work on it.

my status still interview was scheduled.

He did not give us any printout or a paper to show that we came to the interview. Do you think that i need to do an info pass and ask for that because this might take longer? And is it normal to take more than 2 weeks after the interview without having a status change!

  4. Hi everyone,

i applied for AOS from a K1 visa, my applictions was submitted to the uscis on January 24th, i got a rfie on my birth certificate then I reaponded to it (obtained my birth certificate and submitted what they needed) and my status is now response to rfe was recieved. I am stuck on that status from the 7th of march. Now it has been 133 days from my application date and 92 days from the rfie date. My state is utah. Do I have to contact  my congress man or wait more?

How did this go for you? I'm in the same situation with an RFIE but we sent the shenasnameh from Iran which is equivalent to a birth certificate

I obtained my Birth certificate from Iraq, but for your situation

You should enter the website for Travel.gov and print the page of Iran birth certifiacte requirments and highlight that and re send what in your hand

  6. Hi all

I came here on a K1 Visa and applied for AOS. I am expecting interview next month and I am gathering evidance of bonified marriage. I have photos of us, joint bank account, and we filled tax returnes together

the issue is I live with my wife's family. They have housinf benefit in my father's in law name. So all of the bills (utility, internet, etc) are in his name.

Would going to the housing authoraty and obtaining a certifiacte that I live in this house beneficial to my AOS interview or it may be considered public assistance and may harm my application

I am really confused, how can I prove that I live at their house.

    Interview Is Scheduled

On March 30, 2017, we scheduled you for your interview and mailed you an interview notice for Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxxx. Your interview is on May 2, 2017. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

It's really close to VJ AOS processing time statistics.  Let's see at

AOS Timelines Statistics for Detroit  MI:

    http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php

Avg. Days  btw Biometrics and Interview  (if interview required) 124 day

Mine  is 132 days  (My Biometrics was done on Dec 2016.)

After getting RFIE from USCIS on Febr 13,  I  did expected  to get an interview notice so quickly...

Visa Journey is the best source where everyone can check how long it  will take your real processing time.

How much time between status change from RFIE recieved to ready to schedule interview please?

  8. Hi there,

I took the pharmacy technician certificate exam. I passed and recieved my license. Now I want to get a job. My EAD card is still pending and I want to expedite it. Can anyone tell me how to get a job offer in the us. All I can see is filling applications and then interviewing. So how to get an offer to provide for the USCIS since most of the jobs in the us is done by filling the applications by the applicant.
