  1. Hello everyone!!! Happy to say that my husband’s and my stepson’s I-130 petitions were finally approved at the USCIS stage 🥳! After receiving an rfe for more evidence of Bona Fide marriage, I wrote a letter and resent USCIS the same things again that they were asking for and some new photos of us and some photos of us that I had previously sent and we were approved yesterday ! Now it’s time to wait for the letter from NVC and go from there. Praise God! I thank Him for this blessing!

    I-130 husband filed & AR June 14, 2022

    1-129f filed July 8, 2022

I-130 stepson filed and AR August 04, 2022

RFE for proof Bona Fide marriage to my husband  ** for both petitions ** May 11, 2023

My Response to RFE  ** for both petitions ** June 24, 2023

AR and I-130 approvals  **for both petitions**  July 6, 2023

    I-129f Denied July 6, 2023

All were Texas transferred to California service center.

  2. I-130 online application In the section that asks for employment information about the beneficiary, it says if you are currently unemployed to type that in as your response. I’m a disabled US veteran and have been on compensation for more than the 5 years employment they are asking for. Do I write in the employment section “US Dept Veteran Affairs “ and their address and the date my compensation began, and then provide explanation in the section “other information” ?. It’s kind of like being retired because my disability is permanent and my compensation is indefinite.

  3. Thank you so much everyone! I said the same thing to just type my name in where it says sign and that would be accepted as my signature for the online application for USCIS.  I kept getting advice from others saying that I had to print out the app and sign then upload and also type my name to sign. I read the instructions and it doesn’t say that. I figured I would just ask here. Thank you again everyone for your help!

  4. I’m a US citizen filing two I-130 petitions  online, one for my spouse and the other for my stepson who is a toddler child. When I get to the review and sign part of the application will they accept my typing in my full legal name as my signature or do I need to print out the I-130 , sign it and upload it as well? I don’t want an RFE for not signing. Some people I know in a different group were saying that I have to do both, print sign and online sign.

  5. Heavenly Father blessed us this morning with wonderful news!!! We are so thankful! Now things are moving quickly! I have got to package up everything i134 and proof of steady income that exceeds requirements, letters from my banks, letter explaining tax exempt income and from income sources documentation proving my type of income is exempt,  updated letter of my intent to  marry him within the 90 days, proof of our continuous relationship ( photos, screen shots of conversations on FB messenger and WhatsApp as well as logs of video calls)and FedEx it all to him . Front loaded passport photos, travel itinerary, tickets, boarding passes, hotels and resorts receipts, photos of us together in the Dominican Republic and with his family from Sept 2016, receipts from rental car, museums, divorce decrees for both of us, etc.

We sent so much in the i-129F. Is there any thing that I am forgetting???

    Hey All !

I am past that wait for NOA2 stage and getting prepped for next stages. Calling NVC each day now and making sure affidavit of support, and other documents are in order.

I want to say out loud what i've realised - waiting for NOA2 was easier than the next stressful things in line :) so enjoy this 'you own' time and use it to get the paperwork in order.

Few things to keep in mind and get organised -

Make sure your vaccines are done as per the rules ( tetanus, MMR, Hep B C etc) . These are not mandatory, but as all say, its easier and cheaper to get them done in home country than in USA.

After NOA2 the real work begins -

    DS160

    Police certificate

Affidavit of support ( Tell petitioner to keep the W2 and Tax transcripts ready. Salary stubs can be printed in the month of interview)

    Vaccinations

Now the most important part - WHAT is the plan one YOU ARE IN USA? :)

We've been preparing for this since ages, but have you thougt things through? (Not the marital bliss part, im talking about other admin and documentary tasks)

I'm listing a few things here for your help so you can talk to your fiance about pros and cons of each and make decisions before you move and can plan your dates accordingly:-

How soon to get married after arrival?

    Getting marriage licence and certificate

Getting a house together if planned (and if you want your name also on the lease as its good for the AoS docs)

Getting SSN - You have to decide if you want it with your K1 or after AoS. Its useful for opening joint accounts which are useful for AoS

Applying for EAD and Advance Parole - Keep in mind if you have to travel abroad within 6 months of entering USA, then your AP needs to be applied for because till then green card may or may not come.

Also, if you plan on doing a job asap or can wait. In that case you might need to apply EAD separately if date of wedding is later. Thats additional cost.

There's no fee for AP and EAD if you apply along with I-485.

    Costs -

    EAD - $410

    AP - $575

    AoS - $1225

So as you see, there's much to think about and plan for :)

I just noted them down here as I am in the middle of all this thinking through and am very sure i'll post my own questions very soon :P

All the best guys!!!! Wishing all a speedy NOA2 (F)

Don't forget applying for social security card 😉 lol never mind I read it again and saw it on the post. 😁

Also when I check CEAC website it doesn't say AP. Abbreviated or spelled out. It just says "At NVC".

Any idea whats going on?  Come on VJ'ers I'm counting on you!!

Mine said the same thing, but when I called they'd say it was in administrative processing. I freaked out too. Asked if there was something that I could do, or if they had anymore information on my case. They kindly responded no each day I called. Then I checked today on ceacstattracker and it says IN TRANSIT!!!! It was there at NVC since March 9th. They say it could take about 4 weeks for a case. Mine was close to it. Hang in there!! It's coming for you.

Hello there everyone! I am in need of some help here. I'm stressed. Our status still says AT NVC on ceacstattracker and when I called today they say the same. Our NOA2 was February 16th. We got our case number from NVC on the 9th of March,  2017 . Our  case is still at NVC. Do you think that they take longer for background checks if the beneficiary has lived in another country (Colombia) for one year besides the Dominican Republic (his native country)  for all of the other years of his life? I can't think of any other reasons. Could  there be  any other reason for the delay? I am aware of others with the same dates as ours and same embassy (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and they're already scheduled for their interview this month. Help anyone please???

Never mind this post haha. I called back later today and the gentleman I spoke to said it's not in administrative processing anymore and is ready to be sent to the embassy with the very next group of cases. He told me to call back on Friday or Monday to see if they have the sent date for me by then. I'm feeling relieved now. I will enjoy this moment until the next stressor comes into play. Lol

Hey guys especially ANTHONY & BOBBY. I GOT an ***ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING*** on CEAC website since MARCH 16, 2017. Is this normal? Can anyone tell me what does it mean?

I am in the same situation as well at NVC. I asked the gentleman about that and he said it is not anything for me to worry and that all cases have to go through administrative processing. I hope so, because I have been waiting,  since March 9th it's been there. Oh, mine doesn't say that on the ceacstattracker website. It just says at NVC. But I was told that is what that means since it hasn't been sent out yet. But they say call back tomorrow because it could be sent any day now.

I have been calling the NVC every few days for the past week.  Every time I have called, they have told me to try back later.  Today, however, the NVC employee who answered the phone was genuinely puzzled as to why she couldn't find our receipt number in the system.  She kept checking, re-checking, putting me on hold, trying one more thing, and reading our case number back to me to make sure she had it right (she did this multiple times).  The good news: If you were approved on February 16th, the NVC probably has your case.  The bad news: Ours isn't there.  Part of me thinks our case will be coming in the next batch.  The other part of me fears they have lost it somehow.  Anyway, if you were approved on February 16th, definitely give the NVC a call today.

Hi! I called NVC yesterday (Monday 6th March) and they still hadn't received my case yet, so no number. My NOA2 is 16th February as well. I know of no one else that has their case number yet from the same date, at least I haven't heard of anyone, just hear of people who haven't gotten it yet. I hope we all get them this week.

So Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing great. Been visiting my fiance the past few days, so a bit busy to be on here. :-)

Just called NVC, still haven't received. My NOA2 is 2/16 so just putting that out there to let others know where we're at.

Glad to hear you spent quality time together, it's so precious when going through all of this process.

Well, we're in the same boat it seems. Same NOA2 date and not received by NVC yet.  Uuuuuggghh!!!

Wow. February 16th NOA2 date and NVC still hasnt received the application as of today, March 6.  I just called this morning.

That seems extremely slow. Anyone else have such a slow delivery time to NVC?

    Thanks!

Yesssssssss, my NOA2 date is February 16th as well and NVC says they haven't received the case yet either. I pray it will be this week for us and you too.
