i do not understand what you mean but even for the K2  same as the k1 part of the process is done out and in the US. In this case the whole process moved together. We got our green card the same day and everything.

I misunderstood your initial ask, I’m not the best person to answer your questions about that K1 and K2.

Have you looked in the K1/K2 filers groups?

How long has it been?  we receive a finger letter for our K2 and nothing for the K1 yet and even the online system is not showing the update of the K2 but we can blame that on the system update. it is almost impossible to talk to a Living human being there.

Hi Jean - Our NOA 1 for the ROC was dated Sept 24.  So a little over a month for them to apply his fingerprints from the AOS.

TBH I’m not sure if they can do that with the K1s since the interview and immunization take place outside of the US and fall under the jurisdiction of NVC not USCIS.

    Congrats!

I got my notification as well on Saturday. Today it said it was mailed.

Same both my EAD/AP expired a week ago. I had my interview in September, but had to get a new medical. They were quick once receiving it.

When I inquired about the EAD/AP renewal I was told delays were closer to 4-5months than 3-4 as we were told -_- .

He had to get new medical as well, but congrats to you for completing this part of the journey. He received his green card in the mail on Thursday.

Did you get the RFE in the mail. We also had our interview same day as yours and I can see a letter coming in the mail for us. Just thinking what it could be since they sent 2 letters

She printed the RFE for the medical in front of us, but we expect to receive a copy of it in the mail.

Did they tell you why you need an RFE?

  5. Hello Everyone!

We had out AOS interview today at the Atlanta USCIS office.  Our appt was for 8 so we arrived at 7:30 and they called us at around 9.  Here’s how it went...the interviewer took our identification,

asked us to swear that we would be truthful then she went through all our application. Questions asked:

    How did we meet?

What dates did we go on?

When did we decide to get married?

Have we met each other’s parents?

    When did we get married?

Was it at the courthouse or a full on wedding ceremony?

    How many guests?

    Where does my husband work?

    What does he do there?

She asked him what city I was born in and vice vera.

She also asked each of the others date of birth

Then she asked if we had updated evidence to submit:  I provided my most recent tax return, 2017 w2 and 2 months of paystubs (to show that my income has not decreased), updated lease agreement, updated car and medical insurance cards and new wedding pictures (we got married at the courthouse last year, but we had a large wedding with friends and family last month).

All in all the interview took about 20 mins she said she would recommend approval but we received an RFE for the expired medical, so our case is pending until then, but thankfully they allow us to drop it off at the office rather than having to mail it in to a lockbox.

If your case was  submitted August of 2017 or  earlier I highly suggest getting a new medical so you don’t have any delays.

Good luck to you all ❤️

Those who received their EADs, did you receive your social security card without restrictions, i.e. without the caption that says "valid only with DHS authorization"?

I got mine with restrictions as a student last year so I am wondering if I need to replace it

My husband got his two years ago when his company had him working stateside and his SSN says the same thing  and he didn’t need to get a new one after his EAD was issued.  I think that’s the number you keep until you get your GC and only then will you be allowed to have it issued without the DHS authorization on it.

    Hi all,

I finally got a case update last week (November 8th) - the AP/EAD applications were approved!

On November 8, 2017, we approved your Form I-131, Application For USCIS Travel Document, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice.

However, since then nothing has changed, no 'card in production', no 'card has been mailed' etc. Anyone also been through this and knows how long it takes for the status to update again?

Many thanks - just looking for some reassurance or advice if I need to chase this up.

Ours changed from approved on Nov 9th to card was mailed to me on Nov 14th.
