  3. Hello everyone

I have a few questions I wish from who have experianced any of this can help. So I sent an expedite request to the nvc after they took so long not reviewinf my files tje request was approved and immediatly sent to the embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Its been over two weeks since it was sent from nvc to embassy. 3 days after file was sent to embassy my ceac status changed from in transit to READY so i assumed the embassy got my file. A week later i emailed embassy asking them about my case and when will i have my interview scheduled i was told that they are still waiting on hard file. Fast forward a week so more the 14 days had past since nvc sent case i emailed the embassy again asking for any updates and they have recieved the file  i was told they are still waiting on file. How is it possible that my case status changed from IN TRANSIT to READY and yet they still say we are waiting on file???

Has anyone exerianced anything like this or have any info about how expedites work?  Thank you all

Yes that's normal right now. I have the same thing showing when I log into check visa application status on ceac. Basically what I was told today by an NVC rep, that it's because we've gone past the normal review times and that it's in the review department awaiting review or currently being reviewed.

    So no worries insha'Allah.

She told me that my case is in the review department and does not know when the case will be complete; that I should receive an email once it is (You know the same blah, blah, blah we hear every time). When I told her that this Thursday I will be 8 weeks since my scan date, she quickly told me I have 'up to' 6 more weeks for a CC, because on Feb/10 is when the supervisor request was made, that basically the clock starts over again. :bonk:

I want to be hopeful and optimistic that we are close to CC, but some days it's just difficult.  May God give us strength and case complete. Ameen

inshallah soon  i called earlier and was told  its in the review department  and it'll be done soon

Yes in sha'Allah. :) I called twice to make sure. I was told by another VJ memeber that he was approved only 10 days after the supervisor review. :energy:

I sure hope this is the case for us too. Also another member who's scan date was Dec-06 just got CC. So it looks like NVC is trying to catch up from all the holidays, political craziness, and snow days. :)

it has been longer than 15 days for me since supervisor request was sent.... and its good hearing that they are clearing some of december cases

I called early this morning to catch their late hour reps (11:00 pm EST 5:00 am Egypt time). I was told that my husbands case is now in review department.

I decided to call again today and waited till this afternoon (2:00 pm Egypt time - 7:00 am EST). I the rep said the same thing, that our case is now in review department. I asked her is she sure that it is out of the mail room and in the review department. She confirmed that it's in review department and it may take up to 8 weeks from Feb 10 when the supervisor review was requested to have the case reviewed. She said it may not really take 8 weeks and most likely less.

So that's nice to know, and hopefully we'll all have a cc soon. :)

thats the same thing i was told today to i called to make sure it was sent to the review department... so hopefully they are right and won't take 8 weeks.... inshallah they finish sooner

No I have not been told if our case has been sent to review department. I'm planning on calling them at their late hours (which will be early morning for me) and ask them. I'm really happy that you case has been sent to review department, hopefully this means you'll get CC soon. :) I will let you know what NVC says when I call them.

    good luck and thank you

so just got off the rep told me my case has been sent to the review department.... i have been requesting to speak to a supervisor for over a week and no one is available..... have you been told that your case been sent to review department? also i tried to ask her when was it sent to the review department she was like I'm not sure i don't see the date here but that she sees a supervisor asked for it to be reviewed ?

    Oh WOW!!!!

Looks like I will most likely end up involving my senator, again. I had to involve him during the USCIS stage and if I reach 8 weeks on Feb 23rd, and no CC, than for me I have no choice but to send in a privacy release form to my senator. This is utter BS, I don't like getting negative, but I honestly don't understand how they got this far behind?! I was understanding because of the Christmas and New Year Holidays, I understand when bad weather happens... but there are too many days in between that is of no excuse not to get cases done and complete. I mean even if they received tons of mail, I get that too, but we've hit February, so we really should begin seeing cases move along by now.

Ya Rabb! I hope we don't end up getting check listed in the long run and have to wait some more. God Willing, all will fall into place and we'll get cc soon. I gotta keep giving myself a pep talk, otherwise I think I'll go crazy. :bonk:

:( check listed.... i don't even want to think about that... that would be super bad for me :( inshallah they hurry with the complete case ....this the worse wait after i thought long waits  was only USCIS stage

You and I have same scan date.

Spoke to NVC rep today to be sure that they put my case in 'supervisor review', as I had called last Friday, Feb-10, to check the status of my case; the rep then said - No CC and will request my case to be put on supervisor review, since it past 6 weeks. So today when I spoke to the rep, I wanted to confirm that this request was submitted. This rep told me yes, that he see's the request was made; but strange thing he said was that the request actually goes to the mail room and not a supervisor. He said that they check with the mail room 'to see where it's at and why it wasn't transferred to be reviewed'. The rep also mentioned that the long review times are due to them receiving so much mail at the end of the year. But that just makes me feel worse, thinking that our documents could still be in the mail room?!

I'm going to call tomorrow and just be sure what this rep I spoke to today was telling the truth or not.

But like you, no CC. Hopefully we'll all get CC soon.

i was actually told the same that my mail for some reason still at mail room and not review department but they requested a supervisor review on the 27th of January. i called today and told them about my situation in malaysia and they told me to request and expedite.....
