No not yet I saw that too but I think that person said they contacted their congressmen not sure if that made the difference. I think we are going to have a better idea this week. I know a couple with scan date December 5th that had a CC last week. I know they have started to work December cases. Stay strong !!
thanks hopefully you hear some good news this week

Hi everyone. Scan date Dec/29.
Called last night and was told my case was going to be sent to supervisor for 'supervisor review'.
I really do not believe country plays a large role on whether you get CC or not. Being in a country that has EP get CC faster, and yes usually Philippines do too. However, I did see a case from Dec who got approved within 5 weeks and he was from Pakistan. K1's also typically get approved much faster than CR-1/IR-1, but none of this is truly concrete. I've seen people from UK, Canada, and China, take long times to get approved, and I've also seen them get approved quickly; which is why I don't believe country always plays a role.
These days I do not see much of pattern on who gets CC and how fast, unlike 8 months ago.
I understand we all want to get back to our loved ones, let's stay positive, we're almost there. Hopefully we'll all get a CC soon.
thanks hopefully things start going smooth

Does the case complete depend on the type of visa? I know a K1 will get processed quicker than a IR1.
i doubt it does they receive mail and let it pile they say they start from mail first received

something not right people scan date way after yours have CC but others haven't and they tell me they work with the mail first come first serve but thats not the case in your case....

Has anyone had case complete from December ?
I was looking at a lot of members timelines this past weekend and I don't think NVC has ever taken this long to complete cases . Usually it is around 6 weeks . I don't know whats going on . Good Luck to everyone.
My Scan Date is January 18th

I sent my NVC documents more than 6 weeks ago. Never received no RFE or nothing also I called and they told me they received my documents the 29th of December and to wait another week. I cant call today since they closed already but Im sure they will tell me the same things since I checked online and still no updates.
Is anyone going through the same thing? If I got and RFE shouldn't I know by now?

Thank you so much Naji and VeVe for your response. What I understand is that the scan date is the day that NVC sent me the first letter with the case #. I hope you all keep posting information about your cases, that helps as a guide for the rest of us who are still waiting. I am having a baby soon and I really need my parents to come.
scan date is when they received your AOS and documents ect......

Hi,
Thank you all for sharing your experience. From what I see here only one person got the case completed.
My i-130 was approved on November 28th and the NVC received the documents on December 20th and sent me the e-mail with the case # and cover sheet, is that my scan date? I am petitioning for my parents. I have called twice and they say that I have to wait up to 6 weeks. But I am not sure when to start counting the 6 weeks, they said to count once they had received everything. I submitted the DS-260 on January 4th and that was the last thing I had left to do. But they received the IV and AOS packets on December 30th. Can anybody explain to me when I should consider the 6 weeks over?
Thank you so much, this is very helpful.
if I'm not wrong you could start counting from the 30th

Our documents were scanned on December 13. Supervisor review on January 25. Case Complete today February 7.
I called 2-3 times a week and checked the CEAC website site about 10-15 times daily looking for the 3 N/A's.
I always asked about our case status. I would inquire about the next step. If the representative was sounding irritated, disgruntled or like they were having a bad day, I was always polite and spoke with a smile in my voice ( even though I felt the same way or worse). Today when the representative said we have your email, I questioned the statement. We did not send an email to NVC. She stated they had the email address and that our case had been completed today. I almost passed out.
Patiently (not patiently) awaiting the interview date. Super excited today. Soon come.
Moral of this long story: Patience is the key.
congrats i know this must be a big relief i wish we all here some good news this week so did you ever see the 3 n/a because thats what i have been looking for

Hello VJ Members,
I am from Pakistan, NVC has received our Documents on 1st December, 2016. My wife called them every week from USA, last week lady from NVC told my wife your case is at supervisor Desk. This week my wife called them again, now lady from NVC told my wife your documents didn't reach at supervisor desk, documents are still in review department. We can't understand this, please answer me if someone is waiting for NVC approval since December or November?

Dear VJ'er, I am from Syria which one of the 7 countries were affected by the President ban. I live in Lebanon on a student visa "am not a refugee". My case is under process in the NVC and I was hoping soon to receive a CC and later an interview. Unfortunately, the ban came and I don't know what it's meant for such cases.
Is it because I am Syrian the NVC will stop processing my case? Is it gonna continue after the 90days? Is the ban cancel my I130 case?
Too confuseI'm from yemen i am in the NVC too waiting for a CC i just got off the the phone with the NVC they told me they will still process cases normally unless if they get orders to stop the processing they also told me they received orders to cancel all interviews scheduled for February oil further notice and cases are still to be processed normally unless they receive orders to otherwise. so they might still be working on our cases and if cases are complete they will not schedule for interview ...... its sad and were going to suffer for a little

Anyone whose interview has been done in Jan 2017 or scheduled ??
may i ask when did you submit your documents to the NVC and how long did they take to review and approve your case?

it means that if i did it right this time .. i will face no delay in my case , and i will not be in AP
yes if you do it right they might take like a week to review it and then ask for your passport after visa approval it is normal to go to AP for a few days but don't stress you will be fine if you get the approval at the interview

i sent it nov 14th , it took 2 month ( 8 weeks )
ok thanks good luck with your case ... make sure you do the AOS right this time to avoid delays

i sent my affifdavit of support and supporting document to nvc , they replied that there is something incorrect in my affidavit of support , and i have to do it again and bring it with me in the interview and my case still in process for scheduling interview , now if i make a new affidavit of support and bring it my interview , this will affect my interview , and delay my visa ? or has no effect just give them the new papers and no effect on decision of CO , no dely in my visa
it would be ok to take your new AOS to the interview just make sure its filled out correctly....
my i ask when did you submit your documents to the nvc and how did they take to review your case?
