Hi. So everything goes in 1 package to be mailed. Use the cover sheet as the first page (obviously) and then add all the necessary papers as it says on the cover sheet, in order. What I did was separate each section with a paperclip and then a big clip to the entire package. Do not staple anything! As far as the ds-260, me and my hubby just filled it out together. We video chatted and did it. After you finish it, it asks if you want to email the confirmation page so i suggest putting her email and yours. Then just have her print it. She needs this confirmation page for the interview.

Thanks for the info. Yea unfortunately its all a waiting game. It sad because we are really good people, no history or anything. We are just so tired and want to be together.

I think my husband was very nervous and they made him do the interview in English. And between being nervous snd his english being mediocre it was not a good mix. Neither one of us have any history, no criminal records... nothing! It is devastating!

They gave him the 221g paper and only thing checked was ap. They emailed him ds 5535 so we filled it out and sent it back. I guess we just wait?

Hey everyone. So bad news, hubby did not get approved and we are now in administrative processing. We filled out the required paper they emailed us. They responded that they received it and it can take up to 9 months! What do we do? We are devastated 😭

Hey everyone! Update... finally got our case approved and an interview date in late april! NVC letter is dated Feb 28th. I got an email March 1. 

Finally got the approval from NVC. Interview date scheduled for april!!! Yayyyy. Everyone else good luck and hang in there!!

So my husband is from Morocco. Anyone on here doing this for their spouse who is from Morocco as well? Just trying to figure out how long this is taking. We are so anxious.

Court records isn't necessary unless it's country-specific or you are specifically asked for that. When you do your fingerprints for your police certificate it checks for all criminal background

It all depends what state and country you are applying to. Because my state when u submit fingerprints it only checks at the state level not federal. Everyone's case is so specific. It's crazy! Lol

Ok. What ever you think is best. I feel like we all do stuff different. I legit just submitted everything even if my husband had no record.. even myself I submitted mine even though I have no record. I guess i am just so nervous so I submitted everything! Haha good luck to us all!

Also, you don't need another cover sheet like the last pic. They explain to just use their cover sheet and your documents only.

Is there any reason why u don't have court records for your spouse?? My husband got a court record just saying he has no record. I believe this is important. 

Also I did the same as you for proof of domicile. Hey the more the better so it's fine.

For me the whole process (selecting agent, paying both fees and completing the form) took like 2 weeks. Then i collected all my documents and mailed everything in.

The checklist that is in your welcome letter. Doesn't matter if you print it out from your email or use the one they send you in the mail. They are the same. I used the one they sent me just because of the bar code. My printer didn't print as well.

I'm not exactly sure. But i would think if you had a birth certificate for each person showing the parents names. That is a legit paper proving the relationship between your wife and her brother. Because the birth certificates have the same father. If I understand correctly.

Honestly that's what I did. I sent in my 2017 w2.. but for the tax returns and transcript I did the last 3 years. 16,15,14. I did this because i wanted them to see proof that my income was stable and increased.

Yes this is my question too! I didn't realize it is 2 separate things (aos and iv).

Through the whole stage sending that packet was probably most stressful for me..lol   I made a mistake when I submitted our I130 and quickly fixed it after receiving the NOA1 it didn't cause any issues or delays but NVC was so much more stuff that I literally lost sleep over it and Alhamdulillah no check list! 

 

Call them if you are worried about it... the waiting for CC is so stressful it may at least help ease your mind.

Well i meant 2 (aos and iv) in 1 package. What is the difference between the 2? I just was gonna send 1 big thing.. following along with the checklist they sent. It doesnt say anything about separating aos and iv.

I am confused by everyones posts about sending 2 separate packages (aos and iv) can someone explain this!?!??!

I just figured to send all in one package.
