We've decided to do everything on our own, with the help of this great forum of course, since the process turned out to be easier than we initially thought (I'm the beneficiary by the way)
That's good, this forum is certainly very helpful! I think we have the same NOA1 date, so hopefully we both get our approvals in the next month or so with no RFEs

Did you end up hiring a lawyer or did you and your fiancé decide to file on your own?
-
Congratulations.
Always happy to hear about a good experience with the Casablanca consulate. That is good advice you gave about being honest and positive.

My fiancé only used Arabic in the fields where the native language were requested (for address and names). The G325A has a space for native language characters that is separate from the signature field. We were able to type most of it on the computer, but I think a few lines were handwritten because they did not fit in the box. Our letter of intent to marry only had the English signature.

This is extremely frustrating to hear. I saw through the Morocco portal that your interview was coming up and I was really hoping to see some positive news from your fiancé's interview. From what I've read here on VJ I don't think you going to the consulate with him will help you get out of AP any faster. Since AP is common in Morocco and other MENA countries, personally if I were in your situation I would wait about a month or 2 before deciding the next step, as it could be that they are just doing a more detailed background check since you didn't get a flat out denial. I don't know much about your relationship details, but it seems as if the officer did not believe your relationship is bonafide. How much time did you spend together in person? As other have suggested, more face time, getting married in Morocco and filing a CR1 may be a better route for you if nothing comes out of the AP in the next few weeks or months.
I'm really hoping the best for you and your fiancé, and seeing this makes me even more nervous for my fiancé's potential interview...

The political climate is starting to make the wait for NOA2 even more stressful. I'm starting to regret not filing after my July visit...well nothing more I can do now except wait like everyone else. Hoping they get through most of the November filers in February and maybe us December filers will start to see some movement in March or April.
-
The wait never gets any easier! I browse the October filers, November filers and this thread everyday hoping for updates haha
I'm thinking about planning a trip to see my fiancé in May, but I'm kind of hesitant to buy the plane ticket because I am hoping to get NOA2 by March and see if I could be there around the time his interview might be scheduled. Either way, if we don't hear anything by early April I'll still visit him in May.
Hope everyone gets good news soon!

Thank you,
I saw your profile on the Timelines table since our NOA1 dates are the same. So congratulations to you too, guys!
And no, we didn't submit that form, we were not even aware of its existence.
But my fiancé will still get NOA2 by mail anyway, right? Is it still time to send that form in order to get NOA2 by email/text?
Also, would the form also cover Packet 3 text/email notification in Morocco or that's a totally different story?
Thanks in advance
Thanks!
Yes, the petitioner will still receive NOA2 by paper mail. I'm not sure if you can still submit the G-1145 form, but it doesn't have much use at this point anyway because you can check the status of your case online as detailed in the NOA1 letter. Not sure about the Packet 3 for Morocco, but I think that the beneficiary receives it by email after the the case reaches the NVC or perhaps the consulate in Casablanca.

Hello everyone!
I've been looking for a place on this forum to share my NOA1 news and finally found it!
We got ours in the mail two days ago, and the notice date is December 28th
We didn't get any notification by email though. Is that normal? Is there anything we should do about it?
Yay, congrats! Did you submit the Form G-1145 with your application? It needs to be submitted with the petition if you want to receive text/email notifications.

When did they recieve it? Did they cash your check? Sorry for so many questions Im just nervous a d a little impatient ha ha ..in a waiting/patience game ☺️. Congrats on your NOA1!
The letter says the petition was received on December 19 (2 days after it was signed for at the Dallas lockbox), and the notice date at the top of the letter says December 27. I sent a money order and don't know how to check if they cashed it, but the NOA1 letter states that my total balance due is $0, so they must have cashed it at some point. I know that nervous feeling! I think you will receive your NOA1 soon as well.

I received the NOA1 letter in the mail today. Now the real wait for NOA2 begins... Hope everyone hears good news soon!
-
When was yours recieved? And have they cashed your check? Or when was your check cashed?
I sent mine December 13th, it was delivered to the Dallas lockbox on December 17th. I paid with a money order, so no check.
-
Received NOA1 text and email today! Timing was actually better than I thought it would be given the holiday slow down.
-
I sent about 20 photos, many of which where photos of me with his family and him with me and my mom when she came with me to visit him and his family. I included A LOT (like 100-150 pages) of chat and call logs because it is advised to front load for applications for Morocco and I really wasn't sure what was going to be too much or too little. Good luck!

My I-129F was sent on the 13th, it arrived at the lockbox on the 17th, still no NOA1. I'm guessing things are slow now because of the holidays, so I'm not too worried yet.
-
Sent the I-129F packet today. Now I can relax a bit an enjoy the holiday time. This forum has been so useful and everyone here is very kind. Good luck to everyone who has filed recently!

Looks like things are moving along at a good pace in the November thread. I think we might start to see some movement here within the next few weeks!
I'm going shopping for my wedding dress tomorrow, and I'm really nervous! I don't have a lot of wedding experience (only been to 2 weddings in my whole life), so the stress is really starting to hit me. At least it is distracting me from the NOA2 wait for now!
