K1 does not follow the 6 steps! You wait until it says ready then schedule your appointment online. (depending on your country of course)

Thank you. We were approved; we found out today.  I guess it means the case has moved on to the next step.

Don't worry to much about the expiration date on the NOA2 letter. As long as you schedule your interview and have the medical exam done before that date, you should be alright. You certainly do no need to marry by that date. You have 90 days from the day you or the beneficiary enter the US to get married.

You likely will be able to schedule an interview before September, and if indeed the embassy is extremely busy with interviews, I believe the NVC or USCIS can extend your NOA2 expiration date.

Our NOA2 is finally approved - May 24, 2017. The USCIS site doesn't show it, the attorney received the letter this morning. Cross your fingers in hopes that the other items roll through quickly.

The DS160 applies to the beneficiary. It can be filled for any of you, as long as the info is accurate and the beneficiary is the one that has to finally sign it (electronically).

Don't you just love when the NVC tells you 'Your case should be here soon. After the 6 week mark next week you can send an email'

Great. Lovely. Unfortunately completely unhelpful. Stupid me for hoping things would actually move faster after getting our NOA2. I don't know what I'm going to do if I'm still stuck in Aus in October. All of my current work contracts (I have 4) expire in October or the first week of November. It's already been 17 months since I've last seen my fiance. I'm terrified to attempt to visit the US before moving after recent cases of people being turned away at the border and treated terribly. And honestly it's not financially viable if I could possibly then be moving countries very soon after.

Today marks 6 months since we put our petition in the mail.

Rant over. For all of you still waiting to hear anything at all I'm sending you all the good thoughts in the world.

Sorry to see you are still waiting... I am too, except I am waiting for their response to my response to their RFE from almost a month ago. It is so tiresome...

Good luck with that. You can't sue the federal government without their permission. (weird right)

Not to mention they could easily delay it more just for you ticking them off. It's the government, wait and be patient. I know it sucks, but trying to sue them will just create more issues.

Hi folks, December 21 filer here and happy to chime in with our NOA2. We had a RFE that was received on May 16 and approved 2 days later. Similar to some others recently, we only received the approval notice by mail however the online case tracker is still not reflecting the approval!

    Hey, everyone!

Well, we are December 22 filers with an NOA1 date of 1/3, and we FINALLY have an update! We got an RFE at last, with the tracker stating an RFE mailing date of 5/23. We were pretty nervous because we really didn't know what it might be. But the paper version was delivered yesterday (5/27), and we were actually kind of shocked because it was only a request for a better passport style photo of me! We're going to try to take this opportunity to add some extra photos, though, and maybe some letters of support from friends (we already have some from my parents). We really, really hope everything will go smoothly from here forward! We are SO thankful something is finally happening after so much time! It is actually sort of surreal now that it's really moving!

Our thoughts are with everyone else still waiting in this process, and we are particularly hopeful for those who still haven't had movement on their cases yet. Keep going!!! We believe in you all! <3

I am also running the weekly scan now. If the internet doesn't do something crazy it should be posted in the next couple of hours.

    Good afternoon,
finally received approval or noa2. The news was extra sweet since I am on vacation with my fiancé when we got the phone call while we're together from the lawyer giving us the news. Countdown begins

Normally it might take around 3 weeks (21-22 days). Mine got approved on 27th and NVC received on May 19th (22 day of wait)
I had known one VJ guy and it took exactly 6 weeks to be delivered .. one of the bad lucks. Maybe you can start to call USCIS to ask whether they sent your petition?

You might have to hang up and call again a few time in a row. If you call and you hear it ring once, they will take your call (you might have to wait on hold for awhile). If you call and it goes straight to a recorded message, hang up and keep calling until you hear it ring one time.

Grace is going to complete the process in Hong Kong where she has lived/worked for like nine years.

My question is this, after she gets her k1 visa in her hands in HK.... Can she go home to visit her parents for a week in the Philippines before flying to the USA flying out of the Philippines?

I feel for her in that who knows when she might see her parents, it might be years or something... they are getting older too.  We do plan to go back to the Philippines to visit after a few years,  but who knows 100% anything in the future?

We we certainly do NOT want to start over In the Philippines, (there are extra classes in the Philippines like CFO and things move like pond water slow..)

Any past experiences or rules?  I have no clue. Just looking into it now.  I do know she has  a set time after getting the k-1 visa to fly here to be with me in the USA,  or the fiancé k1 visa is invalid.

    Anyone know the rules?

    Irvin,
I have been looking at Form I-134 and hopefully in answer to your question as to what to put in question 12 I believe you would put nothing there. If you would relook at that section it is for a person that is not a citizen based on birth in the United States or a person who is non-citizen U.S. national based on birth in America Samoa. So if you are a U.S citizen by birth in the U.S. then you can pass up that section.

There will be a different number that theyll provide once you call that number. I belive thats ending in 0888 for Non immigrant Visa. And i'm calling them at 11pm EST so i dont need to wait on the line for 20 mins or more. I just got our Case Number yesterday.
