OMG you guys!!!!!  without any notifications or case updates... we received our NOA2 today in the mail! Dated that May 5th we got approved! 
we got approveeeed!!!!!!!!! after a long 140 Days of waiting.. finally..  to the next step now and hope it won't be long,,
for who is still waiting .. keep your hopes up 
 

That's how it works they don't update you. You just get approved or RFE (usually) 

We got an RFE!!!! I'm so happy to know they touched our case! Now to wait for the mail to see what it actually is....

Hi everyone.! Roger  and grace I feel for you. After the RFE it's supposed to be a fast track to approval since they had already checked out everything. Once you new evidence is received it should be a slam dunk! Hopefully it will be this week! Sending prayers and hugs. Oh yeah I called earlier this afternoon and got cutoff about five times. last time a nice guy named Jack answered. He asked the right questions for which I had the right answers abs my new best friend Jack told me that NVC had received our application and I got a case number and an invoice number !!!! So very happy as I type this. We were approved for our NOA2 on April 24, 2017. Nvc got the case May 10 , 2017. Wishing that the rest of you get the answers you need very soon! God Bless everyone! 

I agree, got them back exactly what they needed, very simple, now go ahead and approve!! I did look back at many timelines, and they all have averaged around 2 to 3 weeks, so hopefully this week, absolutely next week, thank you

Our Update.  We sent back the RFE.  (They needed new pictures and her letter.) 
 
Sent back and received certified mail,  April 3rd...  
 
Waiting for something this easy to check off and move on for our approval is nuts!!  
 
Just praying it is soon!  Good luck all.. 

Request for evidence, it means there is a problem, normally it is something simple, like unchecked box, 
or missing signature, it is good and bad, bad because there was a problem, good because they have touched your file and it is usually only 2 -4 weeks until they respond and hopefully give the aproval!!

Congratulations!!!! Soon us too. We just sent back the RFE it was for updated pictures and her letter.  (Simple) we just sent back for a copy they got it, so hopefully approved any day now! 

Finally, we just got our MNL case number this morning! Total of 19days from our April12 NOA2. 
 
Now, we're somehow in control of the schedules/timeline up to the interview (given all docs and tests results go in our favor)

You're now off to NVC stage waiting game. BTW, we've just got our MNL case number (thru phonecall)  this morning. Total of 19days from our April12 NOA2.

Good luck and speedy process to the both of you. From what ive read once the NO2 is issued the process speeds up pretty quickly. Im hoping once we get the approval the interview date will be within 2 months. Keeping finger crossed and good luck.

Sure it was for something simple. Mine was for not checking of the box that I have not committed murder, sexual assault etc.

Just hang in there! My time was around the same. Just be patient, I know it's hard but it'll be worth it! 
 
Your case not being touched could be anything from yours is complicated somehow to you got put on the bottom of a stack of papers. Don't sweat it too much.

just a quick question i checked the status online and still at NVC may i know what are the 6 steps? sorry if this has been asked before.

We also got an RFE notice last 26 April and we have yet to receive it in the mail, thus, we have no idea what the RFE is about so far. There could be many reasons but we also met in OkCupid so it could also be that. We'll see.

Filed on jan 10th and got approved on April 26th. Now we're just waiting for the actual NOA2 to come in the mail. 
 
Perhaps other filers around Jan 10th may hear good news soon too.

My fiancee went to her interview today in Abu Dhabi UAE and got approved. I was outside waiting for her.
 
Hopefully, all of you would be next!
