How exciting you might be the first person on this thread to get that status change!! Congratulations!

Congratulations from me also:) We're actually at the beginning of the process . We have almost all the forms filled out, but in a sample cover letter I found in visaharmony the

Supporting Documents for I-485 these 2:

    1.       Copy of Vaccination Documentation Worksheet, Form DS-3025

    2.       Sealed envelope for the Form I-693 signed by a USCIS recommended civil surgeon

Did you guys submit these 2?

YAY!  My Case is "READY" in Bogota!  :D:D:D:D:D:D

Which means they don't update to the "IN TRANSIT" status probably until a few days after it actually leaves.  Because I got the IN TRANSIT status for first time yesterday and now today it is READY.

And, what did ti say before that?

For me, like I showed in my previous message, it used to be: "At NVC" until yesterday. But now, all I get is: "Your search did not return any data"

My NOA2 was approved 4/28 and I called NVC this morning to see if they recieved my case.  They received my stuff yesterday and it should take up to two weeks for processing and receive our case number.

I have the same NOA2 approval date (4/28). And, first time I called yesterday, I was able to get:

    1. A "Case" number: KEV 2017 636 XXX

    2. An "Invoice" number: 413 232 XX

Digitwise, do these numbers seem OK?

    In the CEAC website,  https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx
I should select "non-immigrant" visa and embassy, and then enter:  a) KEV 2017 636 XXX,  b) 2017 636 XXX, or something else?

And, finally, how long do you think it would be before my case status will be registered and accessible via the above process?

I came to the conclusion I am not stressed about the wait myself. I know in the end we will get approved. We have been together 5 years and we are a genuine relationship...In the end if this route doesn't work for some reasons (which I don't think it would happen but anyway), there are many other ways to go around. So I am really not stressed about being refused. I am just literally tired and annoyed about those 108 days wait (That is since my NOA1, received date add 3 days). why are they holding us like this, I cannot see a reason and if there is one they should contact us with a RFE. I just believe our case has been left untouched up to now, as stated earlier maybe their dogs ate it...

Best of luck to everyone on this new week!

You WILL get approved, I have no doubt about that.  We got approved 114 days past our received date. The very best of luck to all those waiting ever longer!!

Looking at the data and to clarify these are cases that are still listed "AS Received" or otherwise not been touched.

I can't believe there are 51 filers for Jan 3rd that have not been touched yet 32 untouched for Jan 13th. I wish I knew what process if any USCIS uses to review each case. Obviously they are putting more effort into the earlier filers however you would think the Jan 3rd filers would have a lower number compared to a Jan 12 filer.

If anyone could crack the code on how USCIS process's these cases I would certainly like to know what that is.

Well the good news is they are chipping away at all Jan Filers at a pretty good rate now so we should all have a response from USCIS in the next couple of weeks......I would hope.

Congratulations to all of those Jan Filers that received approval this week and for the rest of us just keep praying and remain optimistic.

I've sent the early vs. late week side-by-side comparison for cases in my (jan-4) neighborhood (21.6% untouched). Here's the same for jan-3 (41.1% untouched):

    Finally broke and called uscis.

Basically just told me that the office is currently working on Novemeber cases and that they can't do anything for me until cases after mine have started to be processed...which they clearly have.

    3

"Working on November cases"? What joke!!! Remaining November filers are lucky if they get a single case processed every other day.

Check out  geowrian's  stats in that group

Still waiting for NOA2 but we got engaged so soon and my student visa was denied. We're real and I knew from the second I saw him that this is the man I want to marry. I was 6 months in Miami with him and he visits me every 2 months in Germany.  Our lawyer said I shouldn't worry and that there's no reason to freak out. But the last time i was at the embassy for a visa the officers were so mean that i just can't imagine saying them 'you're approved' :(

You won't have to see any officers except for the interview, of course. Over several months here, I have heard of zero rejections. And, If you talk to them about your love in such a romantic way, they will want to immediately stamp your passport

I feel the Same way. Waiting for months and at the end you don't know what will happen .. it drives me crazy. Things would be so much easier if you would know that you will Be approved at the end and everything will be fine.

If your case has not been rejected already, which it hasn't, and if you have a genuine relationship, which I'm sure you do, you will get approved, I guarantee it!!!

    Kasu06,

I may have an idea of what you're trying to say but I think you should explain to people, in layman's terms, how you reach your conclusion applications reviews are "nonrandom"

Look at 36 "incorrect fee" rejections; they are all consecutive case numbers.

Also, zero REFs out of 146 cases for January 3rd, and 35 RFEs out of 115 for the very next day.

Finally 65% approval rate for January 6-8, and 25% approval rate for the earlier date of January 3rd.

The only explanation I can came up with for this pattern of results is this:

    1.    Cases arrive in bunches, of several hundred, for example

    2.    Cases are given a first pass examination

    3.    Cases are grouped with similar cases, for example cases likely to be rejected, result in RFEs, quickly approved, are placed in separate groups and              are organized consecutively

    4.    Cases are assigned WAC ID numbers based on a preset group order

    5.    Perhaps cases likely to be quickly approved get ID numbers first, while cases

I've seen people posting they got approval texts as early as 8:05 EST.  So I believe the notifications start at 8pm EST and continue till 11pm EST.

I've separately analyzed the data for the first several days in January. Results clearly reveal presorting prior to ID and date stamp.  This also puts to rest often repeated theories of random assignment to workers, etc.

Looks like there are still just under 100 untouched cases. Any theories as to why so many November files are still untouched? Did the case workers just decide to move on to December/January without ensuring that November was done? Is there only 1 worker working on November files? Are all of these cases going through security checks (seems unlikely...)?

I feel bad for the November filers who are still waiting...I also fear that I will end up waiting endlessly just like them. :clock:

Motivated by the same fear of endless waiting, I asked the same question a couple of days ago. If there any of those neglected 100 still here, it would be great to hear from them

  12. 30 minutes ago, Chris&RunnyRun said:

The good news also is that Dec 2016 filers are almost done, they are averaging about 100 to 150 a day and they only have about 500 left, which means the primary focus will be on January soon! I'll keep everyone in my prayers, especially of those who have been waiting over 100 days.

Here's a summary of the latest (thru last Thursday) December group stats from AkesAngel (45% approved; 15% completely untouched )

I think it might be fixed now. let me know if you see any more missing. Thank you everyone. Even got some early Feb filing in there but its still under 5k so ill just leave it in.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XCMaubqubh8N1ZCQsZlTDFscMWRdYJAmJ3Uey783cfc/pubhtml

I see some of the same problems and missing case numbers:

    1. The earliest numbers are in the xxxx165xxx range, e.g. ,:

1790165642        1/12/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Rejected Because It Was Improperly Filed

1790165741        1/9/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Received
no low-number cases, including mine, in the xxxx161xxx range

    2. If you sort by date, there are earlier dates, starting with 1/3/2017, but the case numbers seem out of range, e.g. ,:

1790170293        1/3/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

1790179918        1/3/2017        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

    3. This is true (numbers out of range) for the few December cases, e.g. ,:

1790174766        12/23/2016        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

1790174767        12/23/2016        Your Current Status: Case Was Received

    4. And finally there are some clearly wrong dates, e.g.,:

1790197902        3/30/2017        Your Current Status: Document Was Mailed

1790199498        3/30/2017        Your Current Status: Document Was Mailed
