That’s weird! I think maybe the rep who answered you got confused with the filers of those dates who are eligible to file an outside normal processing time service request.

if you go to the USCIS website and check the processing times for you office, you’ll see that. My office is the California one and it says “Receipt Date For A Case Inquiry”: October 8, 2018.

Unless I’m not understanding this correctly? 🤷🏻‍♀️

    Same here.

Got my case transfered to new office on 03/16 and then nothing.

I feel like something should happen soon.

btw, I filed my N400 online 2months ago and got biometrics appointment canceled due to the COVID-19.

I feel so too! I’m just a little nervous. I hope I don’t get a RFE. After seeing all the docs some members have sent I feel I sent nothing! 😔

I reviewed what I sent and this is what I sent:

    - 2017 & 2018 Federal and state taxes

    - Joint bank statements from May 2017- Feb 2019

    - Savings account since I opened it in August 2018 until Feb 2019 showing my husband as my beneficiary

    - Checking account from May 2017-Feb 2019 showing my husband as my beneficiary

    - 6 months of my husband’s IRA showing me as his beneficiary

    - Proof of insurance of our cars showing us both as insured

    - Copy of joint credit cards

    - Driver’s Licenses showing same address

    - Mortgage statements from when we refinanced our house and added me on title in August 2017 until February 2019

    - Property profile of our house showing my husband and I as owners

    - Pictures from May 2017-February 2019 if us with family and friends and our trip to Mexico.
    - 4 months of cellphone statements (I added my husband onto my plan. He used to be on his family’s plan before) showing my and my husband’s numbers.

    - My Green card both sides
    - Check

    - i-751 form

I’m gathering more evidence in case we get an RFE. 😪

I just want this to be over! 😔

That is awesome! I will be filing my N400 next month. Whoo! 😊 I hope that one doesn’t go as slowly!! Congrats!

Hey everyone, I’m a California filer I751, I want to check if is anyone else  have the same updates  like me.
    Case received 02/14/19

    fingerprint 05/03/19

case was updated to show fingers prints where taken.
and no more changes,  In 2 weeks it will be 15 months already.

I’m on the same boat as you! I filed in February 2019. Got my fingerprints applied to my case exactly a year ago (5/3/2019) and haven’t had any updates since! 😔

We just hit 15 mos. without any update since the "case received" status - not even an update after the fingerprints were taken.

My wife's extension letter expires in late July so we have about another 2 mos. before we have to figure out what to do if we don't have an approval or they don't re-open the local offices.

    Good luck!

OMG! Same here! Nothing has changed since the Fingerprints Added To Case status. 😏 Too bad you can’t call to request more information because no one can help you. ☹️

Good luck to you too! I hope they speed things up soon!

You have good evidence in that list. Affidavits from friends and family aren't worth much as anybody can lie, only people who don't have much good evidence use those to fill out their petition. You likely won't get an RFE, but sometimes even if you do send in a lot of good evidence they still send out an RFE because they want to see that the marriage is still ongoing. Usually ROC takes so long that a lot of things can happen between filing and the date someone actually picks up your petition to go through it. I wouldn't worry though.

Thank you, Scandi!! Yeah, that makes sense! Oh, well. We’ll see! It’s just a matter of time. Hopefully, it goes by smoothly and with no more delays or special Covid surprises, lol. Can’t wait for all this waiting time to be over!

  6. Hi, everyone!

I’m glad I’m not the only one on the same boat! I filed my I-751 in February of 2019, got my NOA 2 weeks after. Fingerprints taken in May 2019 and nothing since then. NOA doesn’t expire until November 2020.

I am a little worried now because after reading through the threads and docs sent, I noticed a lot of you sent affidavits! I didn’t send any. I did when I got my 2-year GC; so, I thought they were not that necessary.... I also only sent docs for 2 years prior to filing. So, this is what I sent:

    - 2 years of taxes: 2018 and 2019. No W2’s since I didn’t see any request for them on the USCIS website.

    - 2 Years of joint bank accounts

    - 2 years of personal bank accounts showing my husband as the POD - Checking and Savings

    - My husband’s statements for his 401(k) showing me as his beneficiary

    - 2 years of credit card statements and pics of the credit cards

    - Pictures for the last 2 years of us with friends and of our trip to Mexico. About 1-2 pics per month.

    - Mortgage statements since the beginning of the mortgage (1.5 years)

    - Property profile of our house showing us as title holders/owners

    - T-mobile statements for the last 2 years showing both our names

    - Car insurance policies showing both our names on both our cars
    - My Green card (both sides)

    - DL’s for both my husband and me showing the same address

    - Check

    I wonder now if we’ll get a ROE.... 😪

It’s almost been 15 months since we filed. Based on the processing times, CA’s field office’s times are 15-18 or so.

My husband works an evening shift so he is still asleep but I need to share this news with someone, and all of you are SO great -- I am hired!!  For a Title Insurance Real Estate law firm that's a 4 minute drive from our house.  I am SO excited this morning - Best Monday ever.  ???

That's awesome!! Congrats!! It was worth the wait after all, huh?

What did you tell the other company that interviewed you? I am in a bit of a sticky situation here.. I'm having  a 2nd interview and an interview with another company tomorrow... I am just so afraid to tell them to wait until Friday for my decision, because what if someone else gets my place? LOL... How did you handle your situation?

  8. 31 minutes ago, MiaTher said:

Yes I'm adjusting from B2. I didn't find any other thread like this one either.

I put in a SR yesterday (first one), I wanted to let the process go on on its own and not push it, and I thought about just waiting until I go to my interview which is in a few days (??!!) but the VJ estimated adjudication time has passed and I couldn't wait another day lol. We'll see what happens. :clock:

I'm applying for AOS of B1/B2 visa too! Marriage based, of course. :) Luckily, I already have my EAD but as far as the green card interview, it seems to be going pretty slow.... ?

    Yay congrats!!

Interesting... Mine is the same for i-485 it says Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received since Dec. but never got an update saying case ready for interview. Also, how do we know which field office has our case?

They are sometimes slow at updating the website... But it can also be your field office ?.

Here's how you can find where your field office is located. Go at the bottom of the page so you can start with the name of youe state and take it from there :) :

Right!?  Haha it was an oversight on my part.  I also didn't realize getting the letter of compliance would be such a headache.  6 months later and I'm still waiting bc there's always something that needs to be done.  The dealer is getting sick of seeing me haha.  Funny thing is my car was built in Michigan so it's kinda like I returned it home.

If I could have done it over, I would have sold it and bought something here.

Omg, I get you. But since it was imported into another country blah, blah, blah... So after that do you have to re-import it into the US or the letter from the dealership will do?

I applied for my license as soon as I received my SSN card and before my I-94 expired.

I was given a license bc I surrendered my Canadian provincial license, and NY state has a reciprocity agreement with Canada.

Now that you have your EAD you should be able to attain a license, it may have a condition on it that you have to return to the DMV when you have a green card.  Mine says "temp visitor" and is only valid for a year before I have to go back with a green card or an EAD with an expiry date later than the license.

Still waiting on Chrysler Canada to provide a letter of compliance so I can register my car.  Ahh, all the leg work is overwhelming.

Oh, my! So that probably means I'll have to wait more and keep using my Mexican driver's license until I get my name changed on my current SSN card.

And yeah, it makes sense, since we are like an "employment allowed alien" lol.

Omg, all this paper work! I preferred to sell my car and buy a new one here to not go through all that import and whatever else stuff. You must love your car very much! Lol. ?

Hey everyone ! I hope you all are doing well. Have the majority of you gotten EAD now? And has anyone done interview or gotten their green card yet?

    Ciao! :)

I just got my EAD in the mail today! As far as the AOS, my status is still the same since December "Case Ready for Interview". I called and asked them about this, and they said that it depends on the field office that will handle my case. You can see the processing times for your local office on the USCIS website. They are a little behind... https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

I sent out about 8 resumes to postings and 2 responded same day for phone interviews with face to face the next day (today) and I have second interviews on Thursday and Friday.

This has never happened before in my life.  The first company I interviewed with said it's difficult for them to fill the position bc there is a shortage of qualified candidates in my field, so she usually has to take people with no experience and it doesn't always work out.

Send out as many as you can for

jobs in your field - never hurts to have options :-)

Smart move!' And that is awesome!!! It was a super quick turn around. What is your background?

So funny! As I was reading your response, I got an email from a company with which I applied yesterday! They want a phone interview! Hahaha you brough me good luck ;).

Good luck with the next interview!!

Does anybody know how soon you show up in the DHS e-verify database/system?

I got the update that my card was being produced on Friday, and so I started looking at jobs yesterday, and have had some incredible luck with next day interviews.

I feel like the one place will be formally offering me a position on Thursday when I go in for a second interview.  I was upfront and told them I don't have the physical card yet, and neither place seemed concerned with that.  I assume I should have the card by end of next week.  That would be 10 business days.

Trying to logically convince myself that I would show as eligible in their system, but that's just my excitement.

    That's really awesome!!! Congrats!

How long did it take from the day you applied to when they called you for an interview?

I started applying last Friday and I don't know what to expect haha. Let's hope they call! So far I applied to 4 different jobs.... I'll keep applying. The more, the merrier, I assume... ?

Thats like the best Monday I ever had in my life! Lol :)

Aww! That's great news!!! Your case is moving really quickly!!!
