Kind of strange situation. N-400 interview on on the 7th. The apparently didn't realize there was a pending 751 so couldn't do the same day oath. On the 8th the N-400 status change to oath scheduled for the 27th. Then on the 10th 751 updated to approved. Get to that oath ceremony and we will be all done.

When did you file your N400? We filed ours a couple months ago.

    Hi,

Anyone still waiting for their I-751?
    I applied in october 2020.
biometric in July 2021. Since then...nothing...

Applied N-400 in September 2021... biometrics reused. Since then nothing on that either.
    Anyone else on same boat?

Yup... waiting since oct '20 still.

We are in the Potomac Service Center which states that there is a 23.5 month wait for I-751's.

We can't even inquire until that time period has lapsed.

We are gonna throw in our N-400 while we are waiting.

Three days means the Philippine needs a tourist visa / transit is just a layover to change planes

Visas are required for Philippines citizens wishing to visit the UAE. Earlier this year the UAE's Interior Ministry launched an online visa application system. This system allows people from around the world to apply for visas online from any location. iVisa.com allows you to process your travel documents.May 26, 2022

Okay. I was reading into a transit visa which I thought was different than an actual tourist visa. But thanks!

I know the feeling. We got an RFE for lack of evidence, which is crazy as we sent the same kinda stuff everyone else does and we have no red flags. I bet if there were 20 years of age difference and we had to use a translator app to communicate we’d have been approved by now lol

If you got an RFE, then I guess that means someone looked at it atleast??? Lol

  5. Good day all,

My wife and I would like to travel back to the Philippines so she can see her family (she hasn't been back in 5 years)

She has a temporary GC with a 24 month extension letter (we have been waiting for her permanent GC interview since Oct 2020)

We would like to stop in Dubai and spend 3 days there, does anyone have experience with obtaining a transit visa as a Citizen of the Philippines? Is it easy to obtain? I have been researching it but I was hoping to get some experiences from you all

We would fly with Emirates from Orlando > Dubai > Mnl

    Regards

Could you please tell us when was your application was received at the lockbox?

30 oct. So I called back after reading the auto response email about I751 inquiries not being answered. The call center agent informed me that the previous agent made a mistake and we were escalated to our case being assigned to an agent. The lockboxsupport email does not answer I751 questions.

Don't worry, I am in the same situation. My package was also received 10/30 at Phoenix and I called yesterday (thanks to this forum!!) and they gave me the receipt number over the phone. Today I can see that they cashed my check yesterday. Apparently they sent out the NOA on Wednesday. Try and call them. Good luck to you!

Called them this morning. They informed me that there is a big backlog on I-751s and that we still have no receipt number. She gave me the lockbox support email and told us what to put in the Email however, after we received the auto response it states that I751s inquiries won't be responded to. She did inform us that I wont get deported so Im a bit more at ease now.

Odds are she will not face problems, that is what AP is for. Most AP travelers go into secondary inspection as a formality; CBP confirms that AOS is still pending. On that note, how long is the trip anticipated for? If its a long trip, do you have someone that you trust to read any mail correspondence from USCIS (i.e. AOS interview notice, RFE, etc.)?

I doubt it will be a long trip, maybe a few weeks. She has complications from diabetes which has led to septic shock. This issue usually comes to a good or bad conclusion rather quickly. My mother lives close by and she can check our mail. Thanks for the advice.

Sorry to hear this. I’m thinking she will be fine, her AP card is for issues like these when you need to depart for emergencies. Maybe she can get a medical note from her mother’s doctor to verify the situation for when she returns. Praying for you guys.

thanks, the doctors note is a really good idea.

  9. Good day everyone.

We applied for AOS on Dec 8th and still have not had the green card interview. My wife's mother has recently become very ill and is in the ICU in the Philippines. My wife has the EAD/AP combocard and I am suggesting she goes ASAP to be by her mothers side. She will be travelling alone because I am currently in the middle east for work and my company bereavement policy does not cover a sick mother-in-law so I can not travel to be there unless she takes a turn for the worse and passes (I'm praying this does not happen).

Does anyone know if she will be given any problems departing the USA and returning by immigration officials, especially since she will be travelling alone from the USA and potentially the return leg to the USA? will the AP/EAD combo card and her plethora of notice of actions be sufficient to allow her to leave and return without harrassment? I have read through and it seems most of the folks on here have been able to return without a hitch. I told my wife to bring every document pertaining to the I-485 AOS she has.

Im sorry to put this here but this has occured abrubtly and I am looking for any help.

    Thanks and God Bless,

  11. I hate to piggie back of your question, Forena, but I am in a somewhat similar situation in regards to unsure if a K1 Visa is the best for me at this moment. I work in the Middle east and get about 100 days of vacation a year which I spend with my fiancee in Manila. We started the K1 process when It appeared I'd be losing my job and moving back to the states, the process is all but completed aside her K1 interview on Sep 21(1 month from this posting). However, I recently was offered a transfer to another job in a different mideast country but the leave/vacation days will be the same. I would much rather remain in the Philippines because I love it there and it is only a 8 hour flight from where I work compared to the 26 hour marathon to the States. Also, I'd be more-or-less leaving my girl in the states with my mom while I work overseas.

I guess my question is would it be a black mark on my "file" if I withdraw my application? I intend on getting married in the Philippines if we withdraw the K1 and applying for a K3 visa when the time is right.

    Thanks for any help!

  12. Good day,

My fiancee is scheduled for her interview on the Aug 22nd and she is curious she can bring a hand bag and wear a watch to the interview. I know it seems like a bizarre question and I have called the US Embassy in Manila and they refer to a "what to bring" document that doesn't really specify much.

Any help from experience would be great!

    Thanks,

    Ryan & Daniella
