I'm glad I read your post as I was not aware of the unrestricted SS card. My GC expires on the 25th of April and I had a restriction on my card (authorized to work only with DHS approval). So the very next day after reading your post, I rushed to the SS office first thing in the morning and applied for an unrestricted card. The lady at the service window was very nice and helpful, I was in and out in under 30 mins. I applied on a Thursday and received my unrestricted SS card the following Tuesday. Thank you H-M!

My package was received in Arizona on 2/1/2019. Today, they cashed our check. Just wanted to keep February filers in the loop!

Getting back on board...again for i751 for Removing of Conditions. February 4 was my opening day so by Thursday our package will be in the mail. I cant believe almost 2 years passed in a heartbeat. Hoping all are doing well and best of luck.
As far as traveling while filing you should receive a “...your conditional status is extended for one year. During one year you are authorized employment and travel”  letter and you should be good to go. Keep that letter/form with your green card and passport!

USCIS recently released an updated policy on I-751 Interview Waivers.

Hi Everyone, hope everyone are doing well. I can't believe it's been 2 years since the conditional Green Card approval and good to see some familiar names from 2017 October AOS filers.

My ROC window opened on the 26th of January 2019 and I mailed my ROC package today (02/06/2019). Looks like many of the January 2019 filers are receiving their extension letters within 15 - 20 days of applying. Hope this trend holds good for everyone as well.

If you don't get the extension letter in time, you can also use an unrestricted Social Security Card + Driver License to complete the I-9 form/e-verify requirements.

Here are a few pictures of our final package. We 2-hole punched the top, used printable sticky tabs and one ACCO fastener (3.5 inch capacity) to hold the entire package.

We had our interview yesterday at the JFK building in Boston. Our interview went well and the officer approved our case. Within an hour after our interview I received an email from USCIS saying that my case has been approved and a new card in ordered/produced :-)

Just adding that anyone having interviews at Boston Jfk building it will be ok. We were in and out in 25 mins. 5 mins interview, nice officer( they wear plain clothes).
He asked for no extra documents, nor questioned my husband.
Re read the i485 form and had me re answer the questions on it and said I was approved.
Made it to the subway and got a case updated my Gc was in production.
Come prepared but overall very nice  interview.
    Good luck everyone
