  1. Ah thanks :) Well crimnal convictions arent an issue either, we are both squeeky clean without so much as even a speeding ticket, and this is the first time either of us have ever filed for any kind of visa or form even related to immigration etc. So all should be good on that front. Thanks again so much!

  2. Will finally see my man again on September 14th!!!!! Now I wonder how Immigration is in Washington D.C. ??? Had a **** load of trouble last time in Atlanta (2/2006) and am worried. Our flights will go from Frankfurt to DC and I will have to go through Immigration there.......Harrassment Level once says 5 and once 0.........any experiences? Flying in with VWP for 28 days.No overstays or anything in the past.Always left on time and haven't stayed longer than these 28 days we'll be t5here now since 2000.

    Hiya Nat,

I wont be able to let you know more myself till Sept 7th. My boyfriend is from the UK he flew in to Dulles the first time on June 23rd 2006 under the VWP. He recieved 0 problems. They asked why he was here he told them to see his girlfriend, they asked how long he was staying that trip was for 10 days which he told them. They asked where he would be staying and he gave them my address, and they asked if it was his first time in the USA which it was so his answer was yes, and that was it he was through customs. He left in 10 days when the trip over so no over stays or anything either.

Our next trip is scheduled for Sept 7th and same thing he will be arriving in Dulles but this trip is for 88 days(hopefully, since I understand customs has the right to decide how long you can actually stay on the VWP) so we are expecting it wont be quite so easy, and since its the second trip they'll probably have alot more questions. Though we havent sent off our I-129f yet we are going to wait till hes came here before we do, so its a little less worry about him getting him.

So basically first trip through dulles was a breeze second trip we will find out soon. Right now just trying to get some evidence of his ties in England, basically using anything we can find, and he has already bought his return ticket too so hoping that might help.

  3. Hello,

Me again, I understand that IMBRA is for the people who used an international marriage broker. I also know the new forms for I-129f ask you to check if you used one or not at box 19. We DIDNT use one, we actually met on an online game we both played. So if you didnt use one you just check no and thats it or do you have to send them evidence proving you didnt use one? I didnt see anything on the form asking for proof, and maybe Im just being lazy and not looking hard enough to find the answer for this. But any help would be appriecated.

  4. You didn't specify which country the beneficiary of the petition is from; so, do what makes you comfortable - I sent 2 pictures, a copy of my itinerary and a two line statement on the form.

Sending letters from family seems like an overkill at this poiny. You can do that if you get an RFE, which I doubt in your case, as you have more evidence then I sent. Good Luck

He is from the UK :) and as I said Im just making sure, its better to have too much then not enough and I dont want any RFE's! that will just make the whole process take longer! :P So hopefully I can send as much evidence as I can the first time round.

  5. Hiya Thingee,

Im from Virginia too, and my boyfriend from the UK. You sound very much like me, Just got my divorce papers last month had to wait a year too because of a 4 yr old son from that marriage. Just started the I-129F paperwork myself. Lets hope the best of luck for us both!! Send me a PM if you would like my email since are stories are so similiar it would be really nice to have someone to talk to that understand just about everything the other is going through :D

  6. Hello

Me again with another question. Starting to prepare my I-129F now. My question is over some more options of the proof of having met in the past 2 years. Obviously and hopefully like most of you this is your first time through this process like me, and Im just not sure how much evidence is needed. I have pictures of us together, a few emails, but no phone records, we used msn messenger everyday to talk and with microphone capabilities didnt see any point in spending $100s on phone bills when we could talk to each for free this way. We have his stamp in his passort of course and the pics but I really want to send as much as I can. Too much evidence couldnt hurt as not enough. SO my questions is this. If you get friends and Family and other witnesses who saw you togther to sign or write statements saying they did with the dates/times/situation do you think this would be any help? My boyfriend met a ton of my friends and family while we were in the US togther. I thought maybe getting them all to sign or write statements saying they saw us togther and the circumstances might be good. Anyone have any ideas or opinions about this?

    Thanks Cat

  7. mmmm, I was thinking of only asking Family members, but here would be my next question and im sure the question of anyone who wasnt family would ask me if I asked them. What responsibilities exactly would them being a co-sponsor would they have? Or if you can point me to a link which may answer this. My googling skills are horrible.

    Thanks Again,

    Cat

  8. Hello

I have recently started looking into the K-1 visa process, My boyfriend lives in the UK and I in the USA and we wish to be married in the USA. My concern comes down to the income part. Last year I know I did not make enough to be above the poverty line. This year I should be fine but not 100% sure. This is a big concern I would hate to get that far in the process then be denied because of income, and Im not sure I would be able to get a co-sponsor to help out.

I was wondering if this was an issue anyone else had to face or any advice to help. If we are denied based on income are there any other alternatives besides a co-sponsor?

    Thanks

    Cat
