  1. In our package we included his flight tickets from 2 trips, baggage claims stubs ,copys of the stamps in his passport and I-94, about 8 pics of us together, a few letters from friends and family stating they met him and witnessed our relationship. The phone bills and stamped enevelops are probably better for the interview instead of the I-129f because that doesnt really prove you met in person in the past 2 years never hurts to send copies of it anyway IMO.

  2. You are not denied entry just because you have a K-1 pending. It may increase the risk to be denied but just have your fiancee be prepared if you do send it off with plenty of ties to his home country, he will need this either way as he can be denied just easy without a pending k-1 if he doesnt have sufficient proof of ties.

  3. When did he leave last and how many times has he been here recently?

Do you realize that a turnback could add processing time to the visa?

He left here last time On Dec 4th, 2006 In the past 6 months that was his only visit and in the past year he has had 1 other visit for 10 days. This next visit we are looking at the end of February probably around the week of the 19th-25th and it will be a 2-3 week visit most of the dates will be dependant upon if we get our NOA2 and then the date of the interview, we want to make sure the trip wont interfere with anything involved with that. Yes we do realize it could, but then we could still also not be approved for another 6 months, just about everything in this process is luck and a guessing game. Him being denied is not my main concern it was just If it would happen if someone tells you at the airport whats going on.

  4. A good friend of mine had the unfortunate experience of having her fiance (from the UK) denied entry after arriving in the U.S. She was at the airport to pick him up and waited for a very long time. She was eventually paged by the airline and was told that he was denied entry and was being flown back to the UK.

Have him bring tons of proof of ties to the UK, letter from employer, apartment lease, pay stubs, return ticket. Good luck!

Ah, tyvm :) Yeah we are going to bring a letter from his employer, his rent agreement, bank statements, NOA2 and Interview Date if we have it by then which we hope we do, (we think it will work better in our favor if we show we know the K1 process and have plans on finishing it out) his return ticket, and letters from his parents/family/friends all stating they expect him back. We also know to travel light and not bring alot of luggage which is no problem for him lol when he came last time before the K1 had been started he stayed for 3 months and only brought 1 suitcase, maybe its a guy thing lol I know I would have had like 10 suitcases if I was staying somewhere besides home for 3 months :P

  5. At this point in time Im worried about everything. Its not that I think he will be turned away but I like to be prepared for the worst.. You know murphy's law. If anything can go wrong it will. As far as me going over there we have many reasons. The biggest one is I have a 4 year old son from my first marriage who I share joint custody with my ex husband, I have him Sat-Tues my ex has him Wed-Fri. Every moment I have with my son is special to me and even those 3 days apart I have already kills me. I could never leave my son for weeks and go to another country even if it is to see the man I love, I love my son more and because of the agreement and the days we split taking him with me is not an option. Other smaller things include my job, my home, and the fact im scared to death of airplanes. All in all even with the K1 pending its easier for us for him to come here.

  6. I agree, I posted it about it before as the typical response to alot of approval questions is check the timelines.. I found checking the timelines just gave me extra worry in my situation. Though in the oppsite boat of the timeline giving like 30 some days and we were already are double that. So since then I just stopped looking at them, they can help to get a general idea of what you could expect but dont put too much in them. And the holidays OMG dont get me started on that everything thinks of the bigs ones like christmas/new years, but since then there was That president Ford day thing which the offices where closed. Monday, January 15 Birthday of Martin Luther King jr, offices closed and coming up Monday, February 19 Washington’s Birthday in which offices will also be closed -.-.

  7. We just miss each other to much so going to go ahead and start planning another visit for him for in February. We know about all the ties from home and if he is denied he will be sent back to england, my question is if that does happen does anyone come out and tell you whats going on? I mean obviously I will be picking him up from the airport but worst case scenario and they dont let him in does someone come out and tell me? Or if Im there waiting for hours and I go ask at one of the desks does anyone tell you whats going on? I know Im probably worrying over nothing, but I cant help to think of the worst and cant imagine spending hours upon hours at the airport if something didnt go right and noone telling me anything and me just standing there waiting not knowing what to do :(

  8. No thats what me and my fiancee did, He came here in Sept we filed the K1 in Oct and He went back to the UK Dec 4th. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing it this way as long as she doesnt overstay on the VWP. Also on the I-129f it will ask you if your fiancee is currently in the USA just mark yes and enter her depart number as it shows in her passport or on the I-94 in the appropiate spot on the form.

  9. The VSC isnt so quick all the time either...*points to her timeline*.. And Im just as frustrated as anyone watching the VSC'ers who filed in Dec zoom by me. The lack of ability to do anything besides obcessively check the uscis website is just as nervewracking. Im fighting everyday not to call the hotline, but I know it wont do any good until the petition is 6 months old, Im not even so much worried about the NOA2 atm as I am just worried my application is lost or mixed up somewhere. The only small solace I give to myself is just by remembering that there are other unlucky souls out there waiting just as long and longer. I think everyone at some point in this process no matter what service center they use has to think there has got to be a better way to handle all applications than the current one. I dont know how you would go about getting anything done really besides starting petitions on the issue rallying up support and trying to make a local senator or congressman listen to your concerns and get them to take action.

  10. This may be posted somewhere, Im bored and just curious now what is the actual process involved on the service centers part that concludes in the NOA2. I mean do they just pick up your packet when they are finally ready and just read through it make sure the evidence is there and spelling all forms filled out correctly and thats it. Or is there like preliminary background checks they do, Look into your social security number for whatever. Basically just want to know in detail what exactly they do with our packets when they are "processing" them from NOA1 to NOA2. If anyone knows lol.

  11. Im not speaking from experience only what I remember reading in other posts, I know yu can send in another form and get another copy of the NOA2 but it costs like $200, yes I think you do need it for your interview, but I think i remember reading somewhere that if you print out a copy of the emailed approval you can use that too< not sure on that last part though.

  12. Just so I can save a few people some time, You dont need to post and say look at timelines.. Done done and done about 5000 times each day, searched through all the records of timelines similar to mine, people using VSC, people using London Consulate, Beneficieries from the UK, and we are well past the majority of the timelines, probably checking the timelines so obcessively is what is making me worried. And you dont have to tell me to be patient, Im worried not impatient like I told my fiancee I wouldnt care that it takes so long as as we kept getting touched cause then at least I know someone has physically touched our case and the papers arent just thrown in a box somewhere. But after 2 months and no touches for almost 3 weeks with the VSC, I think I deserve a little right to ask for some support (besides just being told to be patient) and if there is anything else I should be doing. I know everyone gets frustrated in this process and it is by no means fair in anyway but sometimes people need to hear a little more supportive answer than be patient and check timelines.

  13. I know its still early for me to be freaking out, but jeez Im starting too. Yesterday hit the 2 month mark since our NOA1 through VSC. Do applications ever get lost? Is there anything else I should be doing now? In our timeline the thing says:

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated as early as December 16, 2006* (this includes an estimated 10 day delay for your RFE).

If this date has passed by more than 10 days or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline.

Should I call since its been past the 10 days? I thought the USCIS only responded with the application was more than 6 months old. Im trying so hard to be patient, but after the 4 touches in a row after they got our rfe and now nothing that must have been one huge coffee spill! Our rfe was simple I forgot to include the marriage certificate from my first marriage to show the difference on my last name as it is now different than on my birth certificate. We didnt meet with a marriage broker, and neither of us has any kind of criminal record, not even a speeding ticket so nothing that should be holding it up :(

Guess Im just looking for a little reassurance from you timeline gurus and advice if there is anything I should be doing now to check on it, make sure it isnt lost etc. Otherwise guess its back to counting the flowers on the wall and playing solitaire.

    Thanks in Advance

    Cat

  14. From what I understand the interview date comes from w/e embassy that will be doing the interview not the US emabssy. And to my knowledge no you cant really choose the exact date. I have read in some places that if you can show concrete evidence of needing a sooner interview date sometimes the embassy will adjust it, but otherwise I think your pretty stuck with the dates they give you.

  15. Vonage is a good way to go for calls if you have dsl, cable, or broadband internet, they have plans around $25.00 a month and you get free long distance to several international countrys I think its Canada, Puerto Rico, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the UK. Might be of help for some of you.
