  1. I remember reading a while back on here where a bunch of people were getting approved with the CSC and never got their approval emails or their case updated online, they just got the NOA2 in the mail one day out of the blue kinda. You never know and not to raise hopes to much but maybe similiar is happening like this again and in a few days a NOA2 could pop up in your mailbax. Either wau lots of luck and hope it isnt much longer for you :)

  2. Oh another question, I know you need to send your passport to your fiancee for the interview, but I dont have a passport was just going to use my Birth certificate long form, and maybe my social security card too. Is that acceptable and do they have to be the original copies too or can they be notarized copies?

  3. Thats awesome Nky! I made a little joke for you on the K1 topic :P

    You guys can ignore this too just another link I wanted to store here.

    We were touched again today weeee! I think Im going to miss the touches, they were one of my stress relievers, Like oh look someone actually held our case today thank god its not in a box somewhere lol.

    Fiancee went to the police station today so thats down, I have a appointment with personal at work to get the employment information I need from them another step almost down. Going to work on the I-134 this weekend and hopefully have it ready by Monday to get it notarized. How did you guys send the info to your Finacee? Any known mail servcies proven safer than the others for not loosing it? Fedexp, Ups, or just usps?

  4. Mag just stay off my thread eh, I dont need your kind of help. And yes working 12 hour shifts 5 days a week dealing with a 4 year old son full time, Im sorry I dont have much time to sift through post after post to find the information and yes i did try the search feature and didnt find it much more helpful. Dont like it as I said before stay off my topic then.

    Ignore this link its for my own personal reference as i said just trying to compile all the data in one spot for easy findings and referencing later.

    Thanks Nky, did you get your letter from NVC before or after you got your NOA2 in the mail? I know it took them like 10 days before we got our NOA1 in the mail and about the same for our rfe.

  10. I think the best option would be for the USC to go visit thier SO in he/her country. Does it really matter which country you ultimately meet in? Does it really make sense to take a risk and have your SO come to the US and get denied regardless of how low that risk is? The SO will ultimately be coming to the US *hopefully* when the visa is approved anyway..

    I already explained my reasons for why this isnt an option for us but ill put them here again:

    As far as me going over there we have many reasons. The biggest one is I have a 4 year old son from my first marriage who I share joint custody with my ex husband, I have him Sat-Tues my ex has him Wed-Fri. Every moment I have with my son is special to me and even those 3 days apart I have already kills me. I could never leave my son for weeks and go to another country even if it is to see the man I love, I love my son more and because of the agreement and the days we split taking him with me is not an option( my ex is a major pain and anything he can do to make life more difficult he will so asking him to keep my son on "his" days would get me a big Fat No). Other smaller things include my job, my home, and the fact im scared to death of airplanes. All in all even with the K1 pending its easier for us for him to come here.

  11. We tried setting a date many times and realized it was just kinda pointless with not knowing what is going to happen, so we are doing pretty much what you said. We are going to see the magistrate as soon as he gets his visa and gets here and just get married legally the first week hes here. Then we will take the time to plan out our wedding so its the way we want it, not something rushed. We have started to get things ready for our wedding though. I have my dress already, and we have our caterer picked out, music for the receptions, bridemaids dresses, flowers and a few arrangements done already. We also picked out our location but havent put a deposit on it. In some ways this has been a blessing for us too, since we are paying for the wedding ourselves no help from mine or his parents really, and I didnt want to take out a loan to pay for our wedding. So buying stuff in small chunks for the wedding and saving it over time while we wait has made it alot more affordable then forking out 5-10k in just 3 months.

  12. Warmthoughts, the stipulatons the USA gov seems to put on love is hard and tough. Personally I find it ridiculous that they put a price on it and say if you dont make this much a year too bad. So its okay to be in love as long as you can afford it. And I under stand the government saying they dont want this peron over here to be a burden on them, but for the past 4 years excluding this last year I didnt make enough to be 125% above the poverty line, but I had no problems supporting myself and my son without the help of any government programs. So its foolish rule if you ask me. However as most have said here always doing things the right way is the best even if its the hard way or doesnt make sense. Even my fiancee and I thought about getting married on the VWP to avoid the wait and seperation of the K1 process, but if you talk to a lawyer or even browse through forums this one and other ones like it, you will see its really the best way to go. I understand its scary especially to think you may not be with your loved one for years but dont let that thought blind you to other possibilties. Like finding a co-sponsor and it doesnt always have to be a family member, friends will work too. I believe you can also list assets to prove income, so if you own a house and car stocks cds etc you may want to look into this route to prove your income. Tax returns are not the only accept proof of income. In fact if you look on the I 134 form it says:

    II. Supporting Evidence.

    A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institutions where you have deposits, identifying the following details regarding your account:

    1. Date account opened;

    2. Total amount deposited for the past year;

    3. Present balance.

    B. Statement of your employer on business stationery, revealing:

    1. Date and nature of employment;

    2. Salary paid;

    3. Whether the position is temporary or permanent.

    C. If self-employed:

    1. Copy of last income tax return filed; or

    2. Report of commercial rating concern.

    D. List containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s).

    Now I know many people have said at the Interview they were asked for copies of the past tax returns, but according to the 1-134 you only need copies of your past tax return to prove income if you were self employeed. Might be a good idea to call the future embassy you would have to use if you did file the K-1 and see what they will except and what you have to have.

    Now to answer your question, if you bring her here in any way illegally even if you do marry her she will always face the risk of being deported. Even after you file for AOS and up until your interview for that she can still be denied and deported. Also if she is deported she can face a ban from the USA and a hefty fine. There is no way to make this less of a risk. And no one can tell you how likely it is to happen because I think 99.9% of everyone on here did it the k-1,k-3, etc way.

  13. I get that from our online case status which Im sure yours probably says the same as ours just different dates which should look something like this:

    Current Status: Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed.

    On December 14, 2006, we received your response to our request for evidence. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. You should expect to receive a written decision or written update within 60 days of the date we received your response

  14. When you call and they ask for your 13 digit you need to use the numberical values of EAC for the first 3 digist so it would be 322 then your 10 digit number for VSC.. I know cause I called them this week too.

    Also because you recieved an RFE the VSC site states:

    https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Proc...eCenter=Vermont

    When should I call the National Customer Service Center?

    If you recieved a request for evidence and you have responded more than 60 days ago and have not recieved a decision, Please call our National Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

    We are soon approaching the 60 day mark on our rfe through VSC too, so I been looking through this information. You should have called them long time ago and I would definately call them first thing now.

  15. My Fiancee and I like to use http://www.cheapflights.com/ they have some awesome deals, but think they only handle flights out of the US or Incoming Flights from UK and Ireland, but never hurts to check it out, they usually have great International Flight deals, on my fiancees last trip He paid about $400 USD with taxes included in that that price, roundtrip from london to Dulles and back with British Airways non stop flights and no layovers.
