  1.

Hi, I have one quick question.. I just received the biometric letter and it says cellphones are not allowed - do they have lockers at the USCIS office where i can leave my phone? Thanks in advance :)

Hi! It really depends on your local office. The one I went to (East Hartford, CT) didn't have any lockers, I think. I knew about that rule so my husband stayed in the car with my purse and I only went in with my driver's license and the appointment letter.

    Good luck on your appointment!

  2.

So the EAD I-797C form says at the top Eligibility Category: C09

that correct so why was it sent back then? It's signed and filled out correctly.

Your I-131 and I-765 applications are free when filing with the I-485. Since your I-485 got rejected for not sending a check with the right amount, the other 2 are automatically rejected too. They are not going to start processing them for free without the I-485, you have to resend everything again.

    I sent my package April 7th,  G-325a I-864 I-485 I-765, G-1145.  Received text and emai April 25 and
cashed my check April 27th.  I received the  I-797 Notice May 1st in the mail plus a letter stating they reject my application of EAD. So they return the application to me.  It was stated that I have sent the wrong fee.  They cashed my check at  $1,225.  I have read that if I am filing together with I-485, EAD is included  So I am confused.  Anybody can help me?

Resend your EAD application adding a copy of the NOA of your I-485.

That is a bit strange. Sounds like you'll have your NOA1(s) soon, though!

BTW, I sent my wife's AOS/EAD/AP packet by "Priority Mail" and it took over a week to go from Philly to Chicago. Not exactly the "priority" I expected!

That is a long time. At least you know it arrived. Did you get texts and emails yet?

My 3 NOAs just arrived in the mail, btw.

  5. No need to wait for Packet 3 if your embassy has it on their web site or is willing to e-mail it to you. Contact them for more information.

Unfortunately I have to wait for the physical Packet 3, but I'll have all documents ready for when I get it in the mail.

So is there another site we check the status on the visa number and everything after? I see everyone talking about packet 3/4

Yes, about 2/3 weeks after NOA2 you can start calling NVC to get your case number. Then you can check the status here:

    https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

  6. Hi and welcome!

I'm also in the post-NOA2 stage, so we're pretty much in the same situation.

I believe you need police records from the countries where you have lived for over 6 months. In the Spanish version of the embassy's website it specifies:

    • · Certificados de policía de todos los países donde ha vivido desde los 16 años por más de seis meses. Para información sobre el certificado de policía de España, por favor, consulte “Certificado de Policía de España".

  7. Hello! We were informed that there was a RFE on Oct 31, we got hard copy on Nov 4th. We replied until Nov 14th (since USPS was closed due to Veterans Day) and USCIS got it yesterday:

Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received

On November 16, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WAC######. Our California Service Center office will begin working on your case again.

We need to know what would be the timeline for decision after submitting evidences.

    ???

They received our RFE response on the 9th and we got approved on the 15th. It usually takes 7-14 days to get NOA2, but it could be more.
