Yesterday I called the DOS and of course had the same answer as always. Was so down thinking of all the AP situations we encounter... will we ever be granted our visa...when will it come...what to do waiting until the visa is granted....questions, questions, and more questions....

Last night I was looking out my window at the magnificent mountains where I live and the million stars that were out...to my amazement I saw a falling star !!! Lifted my spirits so much to be able to wish on this star....I had asked God to just help me and guide me in the process of what is happening...HE DID...

I just got goosebumps!! He is listening -- it will happen!!

I am sitting here reading this thread and got to your post and I had to bust a gut!!!

That was funny!!!! and so very very very true!!!!!!!

I sent the application on the 28th of August and it was received on the 30th. Shouldn't i have heard from them by now? Is there any way to check status before I have a number? I do not think they cashed the check yet, and it has been 16 days already, not 10 days, which i thought was about the time it took to hear something.

What is my next step after I hear something. Is there a page at this site that would tell me?

If you have a copy of the cashed check -- I believe they put your case number on the back of the check .... it is posted somewhere in VJ how to find it!!

Now that I am looking at this paper, I see that it is a refusal worksheet for office use only. maybe they order SAO donkeys on a lot of people, but they give them a different paper, not a worksheet for office use only. Now I wonder what will happen if she gave my fiance the wrong paper.

You should be able to post it as a picture like that! YOu know come to think about it .... when my husband scanned it over to me I had to cut the entire pic into a word document and then save it like this.... maybe that will work as it will reduce the size of the file.... then yo ucan just attach it as normal.

My sweetie had his interview today with the blond woman. He arrived at 7:30 and his interview was between 10:30 and 11:30 . He said that people were not called in order of arrival.

The blond woman started speaking arabic, but my smart sweetie said hello and continued in English. He says he understood all the questions.

Have you met them? He told the truth that he has only talked online and on the phone with my youngest daughter. The others live on their own, and they don't worry too much about my life:they are happy if i am happy and that's what my SO said.

She asked about my 3 trips to morocco. WHen and for how long

SHe looked at all the 56 photos SHe looked at them very well

She read parts of our chats and emails.

WHen my honey tried to give her more she said enough, enough. He says he had 1000 pages, but i would say about 300.

It lasted about 20 mins. He said others were there for 2-3 minutes but he was there for a long time. i really don't know if that is good or bad.

She was very respectful. Called him"sir", he was impressed.

He says he understood all the questions and answered them correctly.

At the end she gave him refusal paper It says XXXX was refused on 8/15/2007 under 221(g) because SAO donkey.

She said papers will go to Washington and in a month they are going to call him.

Can anybody tell me if we should be celebrating or crying?

My sweetie is very sad and thiks this is final, but I am trying to convince him that it is because of security checks, and that now we have to wait for them to clear.

I don't think they question validity of relationship or she would have written that instead of SAO Donkey ( at first I thought it was a joke). I just found out that they do it in Pakistan to everybody, but I had never heard that they did it in Morocco

Please, tell me that all we have to do is wait for security clearance.

ANother question what about NOA2 isn't it good for 4 months? WHat happens if we don't hear from them before the 4 months are over?

HI - what exactly did the 221g say? My husband interviewed on June 28th and we are currently in security name checks waiting for them to finish..... he was also given a paper -- 221g not checked but the OTHER box checked -- saying that his case required additional processing ...... then from phone calls and help from my congressman I did confirm that all is good and we are only waiting for security checks....

Did your SO ask if he did ok in the interview?

If you are questioning shoot off an email to Casa asking them to confirm the outcome and exactly what is happening... cant hurt!

I don't particularly go for Marco Antonio or the guy from Lost. They don't do anything for me.....but, that was what she wanted, so I gave it to her.

Everyone knows how I feel about the Rock. I like Ryan Reynolds. (has anybody seen the Amityville remake with him in it as the dad?- jeez, he took his shirt off 3 or 4 times and I loved it!) I think I will look for that pic, now. I am glad I reminded myself!!!

Jackie - He is most definately going to be at the Allstate Arena on 9/2/07..... it was 9/1/07 but they cancelled that show as he is now going to perform with Juan Gabriel (on the 2nd) ................ sure we can meet up .... I am still hunting for 1st row tickets -- holding out something will pop up.

The closest I can find is section 110 in the first row (which are good seats -- but ..... I WANT 1ST ROW!!)

So now that we have the NOA2 notice and then waiting for the rest. Interview, etc. I just want to know from anyone out here why age would make a difference to the embassy in Casa. Love knows no age and if two people are in love and it just so happens the woman is much older, so what? I am 55 and my fiance is 34. We are very much in love, he is so kind and caring and NO he is NOT using me to get to the USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We know all we need to about each other, we have seen the questionaire they might use in order to know if he does know about me. SO what is the you know what problem??????????????????

So why can't a person who has fallen in love with someone be such a big deal at Casa? I bet if the truth is known there are some people who work there who might have a SO younger than they are.

salam ,, h.. i read your post and i would like for you to hear about 2 very good friends of mine i met in khemisset morocco. a woman from england , 65 and a man from khemisset,he is 30 , they married 3 years ago , and she resides mosttly in khemisset in a home they share there. i have never in my life seen 2 people more in love than they r. age is of no importance dear. they are the best friends that i met while being there for 3 mos.they married legally there , with documents , . they had no intenttion of tryying for the k-3 visa in the beginning. its been 3 years now for them , and they r now workking on his k-3 visa to england. only to possibly give him a chance to see what its like to be in england with his bride.they are a wonderful couple , and , anyone can see the love they share between them. most people i know , dont show open affecttion there. but ,, they did . it was so awesome.i told my fiance to watch and learn ,,,lol .. just kidding .. we are all planning to 1 day visit egypt. insha allah.plz dont worry of the difference in your ages , age is a # only. its how you feel about your relattionship with your fiance and how he feels about you.they can not look down on you for any age discrimminattion.im sure the love that both of you have for 1 another is a very unique love.im so happy for you both ,, my salams to him and his family as well. good luck sis ,, try to stay calm and things will work out for u , im sure.let us know plz the outcome of the interview , ill be watchhing ,, take care , your sister from morocco....masalama,, kimberlyanne

Thanks for this message. I am not really concerned too much. I told him last night if they ask about our age difference, just tell them why you chose me to marry. That our love has stood this test of time of being apart and that we are in love with each other even more. We have strong strong love and being apart as we have, shows it . He is the most wonderful man I have ever met and not like some over here. Where they need a cute little girl and blonde and you know what I mean. He loves me for me and we have such a good time when we talk on phone. I can't wait until this is finally over.

What he answers to that questions is not important, but HOW he answers is ? The questions asked by the CO are not to find out if this is love but to deny visas where the sole or primary purpose of the relationship is immigration. It is the whole picture that is important, evidence addressed red flags and how teh questions ar handled by the one being interviewed...will make or break the change of getting a visa.

VERY VERY TRUE!!!! My husband was only asked about 7 questions and I feel that there were only 7 because he was very confident and articulate during his interview..... i feel that when they person being interviewed hestitates on an answer - or if the CO gets this feeling of hesitation during the interview THAT'S when they start firing off the questions .. (i have read many posts lately saying that the CO asked many many many questions about things that are really in my opinion outside of what should really be asked ...... such the recent post that the guy was asked what the petitioner's ex husband did for a living COME ON...................that question is just rediculous!!!) I feel that the CO was trying to rattle the interviewee and I feel that this is part of their job (to seek out fraud or what they perceive to possibly be fraud) and if there is a doubt then additional processing is needed --- so if that happens give them what they want even if you think it is a crazy request or that your man brought everything with him to the interview ...... just give it to them again!!!

The bottom line is that your future is in the hands of these people and whether or not we like or agree with that --- they do have power over us..... but it is US in the end who will prove with no doubt things are real!

Anyone who enters the immigration process has to be strong!!! This is a long drawn out process that is straining on our lives and relationships - but in the end -- how sweet it will be!!!!

This is the checked box. There are no other checked boxes on this form...DId they tell your husband he was approved? DId he leave his passport there with the consulate? Because they did not tell him if he was approved or denied and also he DID NOT leave his passport with the consulate. They said when he is called back he can bring his passport. Casa never (rarely) keeps the passport. I agree it sounds like standard 221g for security checks. Check out our long long Casablanca thread started by sarahandhicham for examples of the form etc. The 221g does look like a denial and almost reads as one if you do not read it carefully.

Youcould hear in a week or it could take a few months, but based on what you wrote here, it looks like its approved based only on security name checks (which casa likes to call AP)

OR........... you could be waiting more (not that i am complaining LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL) but really it has been 5 weeks now waiting on the security name check.

I have been able to get some information (who knows how correct it is as it was from the DOS) but one girl told me -- your husbands case is still pending the security name checks and he has 2. The next time I called I was told 1 is pending still ......

so what to believe -- can the DOS know this information and they just tell us they dont (most of the reps i should say) or do they have access to all the details??

I can say for sure that the reps have read to me from my husbands file step by step what had happened ..... so I am thinking they know a lot more than what they let on.

I just watched a video clip about it and the news cast said just after 6 in the evening ........... if you go to the yahoo homepage you can click into it ...

THOSE PUNKS OVER AT THE EMBASSY IN AMMAN DECIDED TO FINALLY GIVE IN!!! THEY ACTUALLY STAMPED THE VISA IN MY HUSBANDS PASSPORT! IM SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED, NOW HE'LL FINALLY GET TO MEET OUR SON! IT WAS LONG OVERDUE, AND HAMDILLAH IT HAS HAPPENED AND WE WILL BE REUNITED SUPERRRRRRRR SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON.! I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL THEIR SUPPORT AND WORDS OF WISDOM WHEN I WAS NEAR POSTPARTUM LAST MONTH. I REALLY DO APPRECIATE IT.

Today I (USC) received an email from the consulate in Casablanca that tells me the date of the interview and lists all the forms and papers that my fiance has to take to the interview. It asks me to notify my fiance. DOes this mean that he is not going to get a packet in the mail? There is no "checklist", just a list of documents. Is this the checklist he is supposed to bring with him to the interview? It doesn't mention that he should bring any documentation to prove an ongoing relationship ie. photos, emails, chat logs, etc. But he is going to take them anyway. It doesnt ask to bring any proof of financial support either? I know that Casablanca doesn't ask for the affidavit of support I-134. But shouldn't they ask to bring a proof of support? Is he going to get anything else before the interview?

Another concern that I have is that my fiance is addressed as a woman : His name is preceded by "Ms." and it says "her" appointment and "her " medical examination.

Should I do anything to correct this mistake? Or should I ignore it? Can my fiance send the consulate an email to clarify that he is a male?

I would email the consulate about the gender issue and also ask about the packet. You may want to address these in seperate emails so you will get both answered. I have heard that the applicant can go to the consulate to get a packet if they have not recieved theirs in the mail.

Even though the consulate doesn't mention anything about bringing proof of the relationship to the interview make sure your fiance does.

Also everything in the packet is available online or by email EXCEPT the letter needed with the interview date which is needed to get inside the consulate. If your fiance does not get the letter for the interview, an email fromthe consulate stating the date and time will suffice.

Hi - this happened to my husband and I .... I simply responded to the email that Casa sent to me with stars in the subject line after our case number (to draw attention to it) and I added to the subject -- have interview date need to confirm something*****

Then in the email I asked them to confirm that my husband would not be receiving a packet # == if i were you i would also address the gender issue here.!!!! you dont want to give them any reason to turn your fiance away!

I sent the email off and it was actually returned that day -- i know -- dont fall over!!!

They responded - your husband will not be receiving a packet #3 -- this email is to be used in place of the packet #3. please have your husband print it and bring it with him to the interview...

So - we did and he had no issues whatsoever!!
