Hi All VJ'ers!!!
Hi from Morocco -- and with GOOD NEWS!!!!!
My husband received his visa in hand this afternoon!! We are working on our tickets home for THURSDAY!!!
Hmmmmm - what am I thankful this Thanksgiving????

The mistake we made was providing a few emails across the whole year of communicating. My husband was asked for more evidence of communication. So we printed off dozens of emails from each month rather than just a sample. They do like to see stacks...for whatever that proves.
Hi - my husband went in with 2- 5inch binders of chats and emails - ecards ... he also had letters and real cards that I mailed him... 2 picture albums (one entire album of our wedding and the other a compilation of all the trips I made over there....) Everything was in separate tabs (chats - emails - ecards - phone logs .....) I made it very organized and in chronological order. *** oh and yes the other guys that were waiting to interview were teasing my husband about bringing so much ..... well all I have to say is that there were not too many applicants that day that were approved and Thank God my husband was one of them!!! ***
I can tell you from my husbands experience the CO that interviewed him (she was very nice by the way) didnt look at the proof very closely BUT she did spend ALOT of time looking through the pictures and was asking him about the people in the pictures (my mother and children were there for our wedding)...... not so much interrogating him about it but more in conversation... he said she was smiling a lot when she looked at the pictures.
Also -- the other response that said you have to be agressive -- this is the truth -- DO NOT GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY NOT TO LOOK AT YOUR proof... my husband was prepared for this and he had the photo album opened and was pushing it through the window as the woman asked about pictures ..... he said he was very polite about it but he did push it through with a smile (of course) telling her to look at his wife and the beautiful children... well all I can say is that in our case it worked.
I know others have had a difficult time through Casa but thank God his experience was pretty easy (other than the wait -- he was one of the last interviews of the morning so he waited around for about 4 hours in June in a suit -- YUK it was HOT).
Also - remind your fiance to talk slowly and clearly and if he does not understand something not to be shy about asking them CO to repeat the question in a different way.... oh yes and tell him to SMILE!!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck with the interview -- do you have a date yet or did I miss that??
Malarie
-
Thanks MBP
Aminah ---
I hope that this is the end of your wait!!!!
Good Luck and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you guys --- SOON SOON SOON!!

a friend of mine is called Mohamed and he waited 6 months after his interview but he got the visa finaly , i don't think the name would affect the case.
wish you all the luck
Well... I have to differ with you on this the name doesn't affect the case as far as passing the interview or not however, it is holding up the issuance of my husbands visa.... we are only waiting for his name to clear (he "passed" the interview) and I have been able to confirm that there had not been a "hit" on his name,as of yet (at least this is what my congressman's office told me)... my husbands record is clean... this is just terribly frustrating and draining our our relationship -- it just has to end soon -- that is all there is to it
!!!
Does anyone have GWB's phone number??
Malarie
-
Hi All Fellow VJ'ers...
Just curious how long other couples who have a husband or fiance with the name of Mohamed (or any form of this name) have waited for security name clearance to complete?
My husband and I are going insane with this wait -- it is worse than the entire process before this point.... come on alreadyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Malarie

I can't use that site to check on the touches. It won't accept my case #. It asks for a receipt number (which we do not have). Does anybody know how to get your receipt number from USCIS?
Once, when I called USCIS, they checked on our case for me just using the case # that we were issued in Cairo. She said there was a receipt number in her system, but she wouldn't give it to me.
Anybody know what that means??
HI - if you paid for your fees via personal check it should be printed on the back of the check.... this is what i have read on VJ at least!!
Good Luck
Malarie
-
Congratulations!
I wonder if Casa is doing something to speed up the process?
I think I can officially answer this --- NO!!!!!!!!!!!! ---- LOL we have been waiting 219 days (but who's counting???) My husband has been in the security name check clearance for 10 weeks now ................................
I am so very happy for the recent approvals and I hope your men are able to be with you soon!!

Look Younes, lady whoever,
I'm going to come right out and say it. Myself including several other people from here know your face and have seen your pic with your "ex." We are concerned about the woman you are dating and of course you already know you have red flags and don't be suprised if you are denied. The first thing you need to understand if you want help you need to be truthful. Everyone makes mistakes and makes bad choices. It's no secret to the friends that know me here my ex husband was a bum! Nevertheless, there's a difference to being completely open and honest and telling half truths. It's also interesting that although you say you are the USC, your english writing is that of a MOROCCAN not an american woman.
So Younes, give us all a break and stop posting other peoples pics in your profile - that may very well be a violation to the website. By the way, if you and your "ex" broke up in January, why was she there with you in March/April of this year and spend your birthday with you???
I could give a rats A$$ about who you stalk out next, I just feel compelled to make sure if its a woman I know I SHARE cause thats how the cool girls get down.
So when you are ready to come clean let us know. Otherwise, here's the last advice.
You will have a hard time getting approved so unless you are going to sit it out and be faithful and wait - you don't have a chance.
Well said. The internet can be a small place. I know your face also, Younes, and I know your ex. I recognized your picture in your profile, as others did, before you changed it to someone else's. I saw pictures both times your ex crossed the ocean for you, including last April. Family friend, yeah, that was obvious in the pics. Your English is good, but it isn't a native speaker's English, as lion_lioness said. The phrasings are similar to my husband's. I didn't say much in the beginning because of the slim chance you were the USC, or that you were sharing this account with her. But then, changing your pic, changing your name, probably making a second account altogether, dodging and weaving and creating identities...
Your IP number shows where you are posting from. You used your real name originally, so you can change it as much as you want, but if your new lady comes to VJ and looks around enough, she will find what she needs to know. Some of us doubt your second USC even knows about your ex. What's funny is that if you had simply deleted the first picture in your profile, you might have come across just as a player. By putting another couple's picture there, you've sunk to a new level. Your ex's profile is still here also, with her first name joined to your last name, and pictures of you both. And there are other websites out there with similar information. You're famous! I only know one side to this story, that of your ex, but that combined with the dance you're doing now is enough for me.
Me too!!
ME TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -- US LADIES HAVE EACH OTHERS BACKS!!!
ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS
KARMA
DO YOU KNOW THIS LADY YET????

I think his sister works at the DOS!!!
Thanks to all that have responded .... I know there are many in this boat that have been waiting longer and I pray that everything starts moving soon (I think they need to hire more people for the security name check area -- I would like to officially suggest that does anyone have the name and phone number of the person I can discuss this with?)
I was in a moment of weakness this morning!!!
I JUST WANTED TO SCREAM - YELL - CRY -- I MISS HIM --- DONT YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT?????
(You people meaning the government employees)
Well I have put the smile back on my face! I did my two favorite things -- shopping and listened to the sweet sounds of Marco -- That always seems to help!
Thanks Again for the responses it is nice to have people that can understand this awful pit of hell we are all going through or have gone through!
Malarie
Hey Jackie -- are you gettin ready????? the time is coming near!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Good Morning All.....
I am having a pity party this morning because my husband is still in AP - it is officially 9 weeks today since his interview.
I know others have waited longer and I should be happy that we have made it this far -- but you all that have gone through the AR/AP process can relate to how difficult it is to see others getting the visas and reunited with their families that had their interviews after your SO's interview.
I called the DOS the other day and the girl said the usual - still pending... so I asked her what the hold up is... of course she does not know but she does tell me that she can see that there has been very recent activity in my husbands case.....
..... whatever that means
We are only waiting for the security name clearance - this has been confirmed --- so the big question is
WHEN IS IT GOING TO END????????
Malarie
-
it sounds to me like you may have already filled out the necessary forms from packet 3--also, i was under the impression that the embassy would not even schedule the interview until you returned the necessary forms from packet 3....not sure though, I would probably email the embassy for sure
We have not sent any forms in nor have we filled out any, so I can't imagine why they set up an interview for him. Washington just said when it was and that a lot of people fill out unnecessary forms that they do not have to fill out.
Whatever that means. So now we are waiting to see. I have emailed Casa but have not heard anything from them.
So now I might call Washington again to see what they might say to do.
What do ou mean you haven't filled out any forms? Didn't you file an I-129F petition?
There is no packet that must be sent back to the consulate before they schedule your interview! Paperwork is brought to the the interview.
You might want to check out this thread. Maybe it will clear up some of your confusion: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41986
Ok, We did fill out the I-129F, got the NOA1 and NOA2...........I called NVC and they said our papers were sent to Casablanca, but to call the Washington NV for more information. So I did, that person told me his interview is for Sept 13
and that packet 3 was mailed August 6, which he does not have as of today, and that packet 4 was sent August 16, which he does not have yet. The person there says people fill out unnecessary forms that they do not have to fill out and all will be taken care of at the interview. ??????????????? Anyway, that is what we have done. And now waiting to see. I have emailed Casablanca but no response yet. So now what?
What I'm saying is that you must have received incorrect information from whomever you spoke with at the "Washington NV" (I'm not sure what you're referring to here - do you mean DOS?), since there are no separate packets 3 and 4 in Casablanca.
If you don't hear from Casa soon and your fiance still has not received his packet in the mail, then I would call and see if he can be permitted to pick up the forms and instructions (the packet) directly from the consulate.
Hi again, I did call Washington today, they said the same thing as before, packet 3 is not required as we have already filled out information forms like, GS325A and I-129F. He did say to call Casa and his interview is Sept 13. So I will tomorrow and see what happens.
Hi - I think you are very confused about what forms you need...... your fiance needs to fill out forms and bring them with him to the interview.... these forms are what is included with the packet 3 that was mailed (but never received) to your fiance...... there is also a letter with the date and time of his intervew which he will need to be permitted into his interview.
You are running out of time!! You need to email the consulate again with something to draw their attention to the subject line stating your interview is >>>>> (date) and you have not yet recieved packet #3.....
They will email you a listing of all the forms you need and your fiance will need to print this email as proof for his interview date and time.
I know it is confusing because Casablanca does not handle the process as other embassies and this is why when you call the DOS you are getting some conflicting information...
Please be assurred the information I have put here is accurate .... I have read many stories from couples that have been turned away because they did not have the proper forms (whether it were their faults or not!!)
I would hate to see you guys waiting all this time only to fall into this category!!
Did your fiance get his medical? that information is also included in packet #3......
Good Luck!
Malarie
-
Hi - have you ever received anything from Casa indicating your fiance has an interview? If not, I would definately email them and put in the subject line something that indicates you know you have an interview 9/13/07 however NO PACKET #3 EVER RECEIVED.
My husband received his "packet 3" via email from Casa --- and he had to print the email to bring it with him so he could even attend his interview........ just something to think about (if he has nothing from casa that says he is to be there on 9/13/07 the guard will probably not let him in the consulate!!)
I wish you the best of luck!!!
