Super relieved that my case didn't get delayed after I had to reschedule my appointment !

I called them. They repeated me that I can't do any walk-in, and because it's not an emergency (like needing a stamp in your passport), I can only reschedule

Nebraska center filer. Received my letter for biometrics, for July 24th.
Of course with my luck, I'm leaving on vacation on July 23d and my local office doesn't accept walk-ins.

So I'll be a tester for rescheduling appointment I guess

Sadly don't have an option on this one.
My local office doesn't accept walk in. And this vacation cost me an arm, I'll take delays in my case over losing tons of money

November 2018 filer here. I just received my biometrics appointment letter today. It is scheduled for 7-24-2019.
With my luck, I'm leaving on vacation on the 23d... I just asked to reschedule.
We'll see how long that delays my case

    I didn't receive a waiver. I just got my NOA1 and I'm still waiting.

Did I file the google sheet wrong?

    Hey,

I just traveled a second time on my extension letter (to the Carribean) and no issues again.
It is written on the letter that you can travel so I don't see why you would have any issue

So I just traveled overseas with an extension letter and I figure I'd share my experience if some of you are about to travel.
I traveled from O'Hare (Chicago) to Brussels (Europe).

To my big surprise, everyone from flight attendant to border agents were very familiar with the letter.
I didn't need to explain my situation, and they knew right away what it was.

The only thing I couldn't do was to check in online before my flight because of the expired date of the green card.
When I landed in Chicago, I couldn't register on the automatic kiosks and was guided to an officer.

He asked if I was removing the conditions of my green card, wrote down the new expiration date of my green card and asked me to wait for a higher grade officer.
I had to wait in secondary inspection for maybe 2 minutes and the agent gave me my document back and told me everything looks good and that I was good to go.

Border patrol seem very familiar with the extension letter and make no fuss about it.
Good luck for the ones traveling soon!

The wait time to receive a green card depends on the service center, but on average it takes about 18-24 months to receive it
  14. Thanks

FYI - Received a new NOA from USCIS stating that they will reuse our previously captured biometrics and we do not need to reappear for new biometrics but our fee will not be refunded.

    I hope this helps.

I'm part of the few lucky ones that received it already. But the majority is still waiting...

They told everyone that a receipt got sent but no one received it yet
My service center is Nebraska too, and it looks like it takes about 5 weeks to actually receive a notice (take a peak at the October threat)
I'm still waiting just like you
  17. Thanks

Yes Arizona is the right place. It is a lockbox, before they send it to a service center. They just changed in October where to send the application.

I just sent mine a few days ago to the lockbox in AZ and it's now heading to Nebraska.

All my letters (cover letters, ...) have the Arizona address on it.

    Good luck!

    Hi everyone!

My window opened on Friday (Nov 2) but I'm double checking everything this weekend and sending it out on Monday.
I have to send it to AZ as well, I hope they won't take too long.
    Good luck everyone!
