  1. My PD is October 21, 2022. I haven't gotten my work permit since then, a family friend recommended I get a lawyer.

At this stage, will getting a lawyer make any difference, apart from filing the WOM? Also, the lawyer wants to charge $600 for sending the G-28 form to USCIS.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  2. I just got an RFE for the Affidavit of support. I'm really confused because I sent my sponsors 1040(2021). My sponsor has a wife and child (6years). Does his wife need to fill out a 1-864A form?

Also, I tried to update my address few months ago. I filled the AR11 online and it got rejected. Can I update my online profile or send proof with the RFE?  What documents do I need to get from my sponsor? Thanks for taking your time to respond

I can entertain questions if you have any although I‘m not an expert. I’m keeping everyone in my prayers for faster processing! God is good. 🙏🏻

    Wow that was fast. Congrats!!

Congratulations....I did my biometric yesterday too....got email this morning saying we took action on your case ...I logged in to check but still the same..under review.

I had my biometrics on Wednesday since it was originally scheduled for the 25th. I told the security guard I made travel plans prior and they let me walk in. I got 3 emails next morning just like you. Will see what happens next 🤞🏾

    Hey guys!

my status changed to Biometrics appointment scheduled but there is no date yet. Im assuming I’ll get another mail stating the details of the appointment? Did anyone have biometrics scheduled yet? Do they send you to a specific place?

Congrats! You’ll receive a letter in the mail that includes the ASC and date/time of your biometrics. If you’ve setup your online USCIS account, that info will be there. What city do you live and when did you submit your application?

I filed Oct 21 and I’m waiting for my bio appointment.

I'm still waiting for the notice in the mail. Since it's a request for initial evidence for I-485, I'm thinking there's something wrong with I-864. Since I'm about 2 weeks away from Biometric appointment, I think we will have enough time to respond to the request. I've seen people get their EAD produced in the same day with their biometric day so I'm really hopeful. How's your process so far? Are your receipts IOE 917?

Yeah the I-864 is a tricky one. I feel like I might get RFE too just because I had a joint sponsor. I got my receipts in the mail yesterday. Hopefully I get my biometric appointment soon.

    Just an update guys

Got a notification from lawfully app that my biometric appointment was scheduled on October 28th. So it’s only been 12 days in 😋 I’m excited!!

Can I possibly ask Emma regarding my biometric appointment day? Otherwise I have to wait for the physical mail to come in..

My lawyer advised us not to register for an online account because that may cause uscis not to send notices to both the lawyer office and my address so I dont have access to the account to see any documents.

Oh wow that was fast! I’m guessing you’ll receive the notice in the mail this Friday or next Monday. Please keep us updated.

Recently my wife and I found out that our AOS application was approved, and a short time later we received the permanent resident status card in the mail.

Thank you to everyone on this forum for all the help you provided in the form of advice,  as a result we were able to submit a solid application and get approved in good time.

Looking forward to less stress in our life for the next few years.

Congrats, your application processed very fast. I just submitted my I-130 online and rest by mail. Hoping to get similar processing time
