For those of  us who received e-mail from US Embassy yesterday December 27,2018 that visa is ready for pickup at DHL should do so. My fiancee just picked hers this morning. It is well....Finally.....Finally 😊

Well it will pay off in the future. It not about the money but been together with your partner matters most.

Ticket is expensive now if you had to travel before new year. I changed her ticket to January 16th. Paid $325 for penalties

So lets all bear in mind, you get it, review, everything is correct before you book flight. Sorry about your lose and delays.

I understand we have to wait to get the passport before buying ticket but why lie to people that they should pick passport in 5 to 10 working days when they know very well that it will not be ready by then. We have someone wait for 5 weeks now yet had not had their passport but she was told to pick up passport after 2 weeks. The people working at the embassy are not honest people. They playing stupid drama games with peoples life and emotions. They could have told them to wait for  emails before they go to Dhl but not the case but they give you specific number of dates to pick up the passport when they know very well that it will not be ready. The Dhl office is just 10 minutes drive to the embassy. They said if the embassy call them to pick up they will do so within minutes with a motor bike and distribute the passport to owners. The delay is not Dhl but the US embassy in Ghana is not honest and also don’t respect Ghanaians. From all the us embassy in the world Ghana is the only place they do this stupid things. Anyone that goes for interview had no place to sit than under trees outside the embassy even when there is storm ☔️ or whatever they have no place to wait than under dusty tree outside the embassy. I blame it on Ghana government who sold Ghanaians us borrowing money each and every day so whenever there is a problem they can’t talk about it because they may no longer get loans from them

I have a flight scheduled for Monday December 24th because my fiancee was told to pickup passport in 5 working days and it is 15 working days now. Ceac status says visa issued on December 6. Interview November 30th.They have no idea what the stupid lies the CO tell people after approval does to our lives. Now i have to pay more than $700 to change flight plus additional cost to flight charge difference if i don't get the passport on Monday December 24th. What i don't understand is that why do they keep telling people to pickup passport at DHL in 5 to 10 working days when they know very well that it will not be done by then. I am kinda confused with this lies and stupid drama the us embassy in Ghana is putting us through.

Did anyone had to pickup passport from Ghana embassy recently after ceac status turned to "ISSUED"?

I have been waiting for almost 3 weeks now after K1 visa interview was approved on December 30,2018 and CO told me passport will be ready for pickup at DHL in 5 working days. I went to DHL today and was told my passport is not there yet. Is it advisable to walk in to the embassy to get my passport because the CO told me passport should be ready for pickup in 5 working days after the interview.

So i just booked for K1 interview but unfortunately there is error in the passport number on the usstate.doc profile i created but everything in my passport matches the DS-160 form as well as the MRV fees receipt from the bank. Do i need to pay another $265 so i can create another account to book the appointment or go ahead the interview appointment that has error with the passport number. I am confused right now.There is no way to correct the error after you put in the MRV receipt number

Thanks for the update. I went ahead to book interview appointment for K1 although i haven't received packet 3 email confirmation from them. The consulate received my case since September 6, 2018 but i am yet to hear from them. I can no longer wait than to book for the available appointment and hopefully everything goes well.

Have anyone recently received notification email from US embassy Consulate Accra Ghana for K1 visa interview schedule? The embassy received my case on September 6, 2018 but i haven't heard from them although i keep calling them but they tell me to wait for notification email from the embassy. My case was escalated on September 12,2018 after i send several emails to them daily but they   haven't responded to my emails as to why the case is talking that long to get p3 to schedule for interview.

Ghana is the first on the list of countries that us consulates deny the most visas. They are only interested in the money they make from the interviews. It's called modern legal way of scamming the poor

It's only US embassy in Ghana that act this way. The rest of the countries are not treated this way when the case gets to the consulate. Our leaders are the reason for all of this mess. They don't respect Ghana as a country
