    Citizen, In my case, I received notification via email from the USCIS that they had received my response to the RFE within two days of them actually receiving it (I sent it Priority Mail with confirmation, so I knew when they received it).

    Are you signed up with the USCIS to receive email notifications? If not, sign up.

    All the email said was that they had received my response, my case was now active again, and I should hear back within 60 days. However, I expect to hear back from them within 2 or 3 weeks.

    yea, i did sign up for email notifications. i send by overnite delivery, and its confirmed that they have recieved it.

    but no sign of any updates even today

    recieved that snail mail, opened it, thought my heart would break imagining what that RFE would be :blush:

    i double checked all my forms both I130/I129F before mailing...and now they again ask for my passport pics :blink:

    When re-sending passport pictures after receiving an RFE, do you send the same pictures you sent originally (if you happen to have more than 1)? Or do you have to send them new ones?

    If the passport photo isn't dated then I do not see a problem... If it is dated then probably better to be safe than sorry...

    I agree b/c technically they can't be more then 30 days old.

    but this is what i found on the I129F form with both photos taken within 30 days of the date of filing this petition. :whistle:

    so again its not from the date we recieved the RFE...from the date we filed, right ? :help:

    i have heard that the speed of processing can sometime depend on the benificiaries country; i wonder if this is true.

    yodrak, not to defer with u, i really dont get this point, cos if u follow ullumanali's timeline and mine, both benificiaries from same country, and my NOA1 is 2 months ahead of him...

    just worried and scared, and i also had a recent background check done, due to my citizenship processing, does it help to save time or will they do these background checks again ??
