  1. What about original I 130 and I129F Approval notices (NOA2)? I sent my guy these because it is suggested, though in the end no one asked for them.

I also sent proof of relationship like old snail mail letters, copies of emails and phone records.

You sent all the important and required stuff, it should be fine!

    Hi Eileen,

hahaha, some strange things happened to jan/feb filers..some didnt get Notified by email, some dint get their NOA2s

the only way we got to know that our cases were approved was to call the cust serv, dial thru RFE section and talk to them.

and my case has been shipped to Chennai, and my online case status still shows this "Response to RFE recieved, case processing has been resumed, we shall let u know how we...blah blah...90 days blah blah"

  2. thanks sandip.

I also sent her copy of my passport and copy of certificate of citizenship. They may ask for it, just in case.

yea, the I 130 and I129F does have citizenship certificate, shall also fwd her my US passport copies

    My Wife's Interview Experience:

When she entered the embassy they asked her for the interview letter and passport plus fees $100 and then told her to take a seat, after approx an hour she was called on to a window where she was told to give all forms, I-134 and only tax returns, medical report and Police cerificate and was asked what language she would like her interview in and she said Urdu. She was again told to take a seat. After an hour or so she was called to a window where an American lady was sitting and had a pakistani guy standing next to her, she said to he guy to tell my wife that she needs fingerprints, but my wife understood her so she said that where do I do that. The Immigration officer smiled and said do you know English?" and wife said yes and my wife said that made her really happy. She asked her

    1. Who is the petioner?

    2. What does he do for a living?

    3. Where does he work?

    4. where does he live?

    and then one unusual question

    5. Does he like it in America?

After which she said I am satisfied and you are approved, you will get you visa by Courier Amex within 30 to 60 days or maybe sooner, when she saw my wife got a little nervous she said" I am so sorry for this delay but I have no control over it and I will push as much as I can to get to you sooner" and she gave her the Pink slip.

My wife came out a happy person

Now this might not be 100% as I am just telling you what she told me from islamabad and maybe I'll learn more once she comes back home and we talk in detail.

    Khurram

    didnt see this post..congratsss

  6. i need my previous 3 yrs tax returns for my spouse to show up at the interview.

i have 06, which i filed this yr and i have 05, but in 04, i didnt do any job the complete whole year, so didnt file any taxes.

is this a concern? what should i do

    thanks in advance

  7. I got an RFE. Why?

    I sent them everything!

    I hope I don't get it on the I-129F.

CM, wait for the snail mail regds the RFE. if you believe u sent everything, but still there are chances that they misplaced something, eg-they misplaced my passport pics, and sent a RFE.

once u get the snail mail, reply overnite. and i got my approval within 2 weeks they recieved my RFE

  8. I am hoping that is what is taking my NOA2 so long. I expected to receive it about 2 weeks ago, but nothing and no RFEs. I have been watching as others have received their NOA2 that filed significantly after I did. How do you get notified by the NVC? Snailmail, email, telephone?

On average it takes about 90-120 days for CSC/NSC/TSC filers to get approved. If you entered your info on the USCIS web site, you will get an e-mail from them when they approve your petition. As of today, there are many of us who were approved at the beginning of May and have our cases already at the NVC but still haven't received the paper NOA2.

Mononoke, i didnt get that email either, nothing from them. But my case is at NVC, # assigned, ready to be shipped to the local consulate :innocent:

  9. Hello:

I e-mailed chennai consulate about sending packet 3 as soon as they have the case from NVC.

    My e-mail:

    "Dear Sir/Madam:

I filed for K3 visa for my husband. I would like to know if my husband could send the packet 3 application and checklist to the consulate as soon as we confirm with you the recepit of our case from NVC at your office"

    Their reply:

"We dont require anything to be sent in advance for the K-3 visa, we will schedule the appointment as soon as we receive the case here."

    ,

So, I guess we will get a interivew letter, hopefully as soon as they revieve the case from NVC.

    Adhi, thanks for the news..

just today morning saw the thread by djveed

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=69552

looks the same happened to them, a final packet, with the date of interview and the required documents for the interview

  10. also what are you thoughts on the chennai embassy....; i wish we had a seperate thread for those going thru chennai....

come over to the foreign embassy/consulates section, we shall start a new topic for chennai consulate

i read here from delhi consulates that, once u come to know that NVC sent package to delhi consulate, u can email them and skip the packet 3 , since the delhi consulate, on it's website has all the reqd docs in packet 3 to download..

so it shall be packet 4 straight to ur spouse

    not sure about chennai

I am happy you are approved citizen

    thanks!

  11. so YAY!!!!! i feel much much better. I still don't have an NOA2, which I think means they still haven't sent it to the NVC yet, so still more waiting, but at least they have approved the visa. I can stop my paranoid worrying about RFE's and denials.

Hi Portlander, it happened exactly the same to me and i did open a new topic and posted it...

    congrats

so u didnt even get a email ? same like me

  12. thanks srinivas for ur updates...

have my I129F approved recently, and our local Consulate is Chennai

    have couple of questions...

They promptly asked me to send an e-mail and i got the reply within 4 hrs. It was amazing.

can u pass over the chennai consulate's email id regds these family visas..

    2. Then I received the checklist of documents to get to consulate(each case varies)

was this packet 3 or 4? if packet 4 where did u get to download the packet 3 forms..

    4. Went to Hyderabad office, submitted all the documents except Local Police Certificate. We got one police certificate from Passport office and one from Local Police station ( you can give this at the time of interview)

    5. 10 days before the interview we went to VFS office in Hyderabad. Got it done in 20 minutes.

i really didnt understand about the documents submitted at the hyderabad office(my wife is from hyderabad), i mean what office is this...and what did u get it done/work performed there at VFS

very much thanks in advance, cos, am also planning ahead for our journey. could find info regds to mumbai consulate, but not much for chennai..

or is it ok if i pm u or email u..?
