Hey guys, I have a not so great update from NVC: 
 
I called today and gave them my receipt number, and as expected, they said it's not there and to send an email to NVC Research. I said I already did that, and that NVC research hadn't replied to me yet, but that I did my own research and finally found out USCIS mailed out my petition on Thursday, December 14th. She then said "it can take up to 6 weeks for NVC to receive the petition FROM THE POINT USCIS MAILS IT TO US". 
 
Not sure if she's a broken record, or if this is actually true; however, I think it's probably not true since in the past we saw people getting case numbers about 2 weeks after they were approved, and I'm guessing these cases were shipped out shortly after they were approved... 
 
UGH I seriously want to punch something I'm so incredibly fed up with this horrible process.

I have been approved!!! Found the NOA2 approval letter in the mailbox today  It was approved on December 11th.
 
Online status did not update still shows received, oddly enough it did not show up in my informed delivery email notifications also. 
 
@Trinab80 Check your mailbox if you haven't yet. 
@Naes You were right it would just show up one day without updates.

Well guys I never thought I'd say this but WE ARE APPROVED!!! Dec 8th when I thought it was actually,but fiance couldn't reach tier 2,so I was so done last night and emailed them and they said we were approved!! No email,no text,still says received online.Thank you all for the support! Now to NVC stage..

This is ridiculous...I wish we could file a complaint to someone or just something...I don't understand why they won't provide any information as to why we have to wait so long before our cases are sent to nvc! 

Again they didn’t receive my case. Sick of themmmmm. 

Does anyone know the timeline of how long nvcresearch takes to contact uscis/found out where the case is? Oct 27th NOA2 and still nothing from nvc

Someone very lucky with an NOA2 date of Oct 30 got their case number yesterday from NVC. I called USCIS yesterday, and my petition has not been mailed yet (NOA2 Nov 2). For those of you with NOA2s on or before the 30th, I encourage you to call today and ask if they have your case! Hopefully you can share good news with us

First-time poster, but I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks. My partner and I are May 26th filers and just received our approval today (timeline updated!)

I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread, particularly @Shoegum and @Naes, as the daily updates have been a great source of hope for us over the last few months, and particularly the last few weeks as we've been increasingly anxious about the status of our case.

The relief we're feeling is immense and I'll be wishing for speedy approvals for those who are still waiting. Hang in there all, it'll all work out
 
 

Ok just got a call back from a very nice tier 2 officer (last name Lopez), he gave me more information than most of the tier 2 officers I've spoken with and was very sympathetic to our situation. I'll summarize as completely as possible: 
 
- Not to worry, no cases around our time were sent to a "california visa center" (don't think there is such a thing, he said he thought the person here who quoted that may have been referring to the California service center by mistake
- For my case at least (and most likely all others around my approval time NOA2 Nov 2), the I-129F is still sitting at CSC- it has not been mailed yet
- He said in the system he can see that it has cleared all steps at CSC, and is only waiting to be mailed
- He said while this wait time of 6+ weeks is unusually long, we are all in the same boat, and it is the average time for the time being
- He said he believes that the petitions should arrive at NVC before the holidays
- He also issued a request to CSC to actually send the petitions to NVC
- He said to not worry about petitions expiring, because CSC will issue another approval with a later date if a petition is close to expiring due to slowdowns/backlogs on their end. He said he doesn't anticipate this happening though, and that all of ours should arrive at NVC before this happens.

Hope this is helpful to anyone else in the same boat. I'm going to cool it on calling NVC every day probably until next week. Since all of our petitions are just sitting at CSC, it's not of any use to keep bugging NVC and keep getting the same answer. I"ll probably try again on Monday just to see if it arrived, but am still not going to get my hopes up.

So after making several calls to USCIS we finally have been able to  get more informations about our case. it has been sent to the wrong address!!! 😱 The lady we talked to said they sent our  case weeks ago to 
California visa center:
24000 azila road 2nd floor road 2312 laguna niguel, CA 92677. 
We called NVC  which confirmed its not the right address.  So we called USCIS again and they said we have to go to the local center and tell them about the problem to get it fixed.  
So that sounds like a better explanation of why after 6week nvc still has not received our cases.   Im jst guessing it must be the case for the others too since they send cases by bunches( wouldn't hurt to call to figure out) . 
Please does anyone have anything to share about similar situation?

So? What are we supposed to do? WHERE THE F_ _ _ ARE OUR DAMN CASES?!

It is insane it takes ~6 months for an application to have on average 15 minutes of attention, and now ~2 months for approved application to be prepared to be sent to an embassy. And we pay over $500 for this. Madness 

I have just called and they didn't receive my app. Although I found a very nice worker that told me what to do, to email asknvc@state.gov and add a copy and some data about my NOA2. I have told him that I have already done that and he said "Do it again, do not worry, I will see" (IDK maybe he is with the email).

So I just got off the phone with a Tier 1 rep who I can say had to be the most helpful rep ever!! To make the long story short, after hearing my story about waiting almost 7 months and needing answers and crying on the phone, she listened, sympathized and put in 2 service tickets in for me. One of them she said will go directly to my case worker for them to give me an answer on what is happening to my case. She said that Tier 1 reps can actually do more than we know and can put in service tickets now while not waiting for the processing chart to update. She said that it's on that rep if they really want to help but because she hears the same story about the waiting every day all day she tries her best to help so that callers can get the answers they need. 
 
So hopefully the first service ticket I will hear something in 3 to 5 days and the second one she said while the standard verbiage is 30 days, I should hear from my case worker before next Friday the latest.

So, I just sent an email to both of my U.S. State Senators just now regarding the status of my case because I'm 204 days in waiting in I really don't see an end to this any time soon. In fact, I'm starting to feel like I won't receive anything until 2018.
 
I'm sure I just wasted my time emailing both Senators' offices as I'm sure they will get the same response that I get once-twice a week which is my case is within normal processing times. But considering in 6 days, I will be 7 months waiting for my NOA2 if I don't get it between now and then (yeah, right), I figured let's see what response they will get.
 
Most likely though I wasted my time.

Hey everyone, I called the NVC today and got some good news (not sure if they're true of if she just wanted to get rid of me lol). The lady said they received petitions from CSC this week but it can take them up to 2 weeks to process and generate a new case number. So she said my petition may be in the pile waiting to be processed, she doesn't have the information in the system yet. She asked me to call in a week, but of course I'm calling tomorrow. lol
I just wanted to give that news for all of you waiting from the NVC. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.
 
We contacted Congressman this week and heard back that it can take up to 4 weeks for NVC to clarify to them what happened to our petition. So I think at this point all we can do is wait (and keep calling to the NVC lol).
