  1. our case was denied with no reason at the embassy of ACCRA,GHANA in late Oct. Well i looked on the website for status and it still says administrative process however the status update date has changed to a more current date. does that mean it has reached the USCIS? or could it have been because i emailed the embassy of the reason for denial and they responded with reason, but no details.

  2. havent gotten all that info, had to allow time to collect ourselves. but he just got a letter stating was denied and returning to uscis nothing to check off. says that it was just around the income, but my income met requirements along with sponsor. im not sure will update everyone when i get details , but i too contacted other the president.

  3. our CR1 was denied today, my husband said that the CO stated that he didn't see with my income how I afforded my trips to Ghana, which had nothing to do with nothing. as long as my documents lined up and met requirements it shouldn't matter. But FYI I work hard for what I want!!! im so devastated with this, but im not giving up, I will contact whomever I can to get some resolutions to this particular embassy.

  4. I am shocked they told you anything they kept saying they don't know how long. It was funny because they said that Ghana US embassy send them a certain number of appointments each month but when I asked them how many they had received the said I DONT KNOW (the persons I talked to when I called) I did not understand that till my 5th time calling and the operator said that scheduling department has the number of appointments not the call center so I asked to speak to scheduling department and operator said they don't have phones :huh2:

Yeah they said it usually takes about 60 days but cant be for sure as it could take longer is all up to the embassy, but thats all. They never told me anything about having limited amount of interviews. :( this process is a bit frustrating, but no fears we will make it through.

  5. Thanks everyone for your advice and help, though i am scared, but i believe we can get it together. Im so appreciative as i thought maybe we were past the hard part until i found this website, we would have been totally unprepared otherwise. Thanks again prayers and blessing to you all and your journey. :luv:

  6. Congrats on getting to this point! Yes, Ghana is a tough embassy, but getting approved is possible.

    - You can accompany your husband to the embassy, but they won't allow you inside. They changed the rules recently because of security reasons. I would suggest including some kind of evidence that he can give to the consulate showing you are in the country and outside waiting.

    - Along with the required documents (medical, police clearance, birth certificate, etc), definitely bring any evidence that you can collect to show that your relationship has continued since you got married and submitted your petition. This embassy is no joke and wants to see everything possible. Did you frontload..meaning did you send a lot of evidence with your initial petition? If you don't mind my asking, what did you send with your initial petition? Maybe some of us can offer suggestions of things you can quickly collect.

Thank you, i only sent a lot of pictures and passport stamps, marriage certificate and a personal letter of our love story. Not much!!!!

    - Well im currently in school and work, kinda hard to get time away for such a trip, so I wasn't planning to join the interview unless it would help, even though i would love to go.

  7. Hi so our story goes on for years, but we just got married 2015 march in Ghana!! yay!!!! im excited but now i have been away from him for over a yr. our process started in september. we got a letter saying we are waiting for interview appointment. i have read so many stories seems Ghana embassy is very tough, can i accompany my husband to interview and will it help? and what are some things that he needs to bring. as im concerned i would not have alot of evidence cause in reality never thought about saving are getting call logs, and chat conversations. And sadly i dont have all pictures from my first visit cause we broke up and ya know us women, i got rid of everything that reminded me of him at the time. Women right!!! hmmm im concerned about this interview!!
