  1. What did you tell them?

When I called in, they said I have to wait full 30 days from the referral was made.

I told them I already made an inquiry and had an referral number. But I haven't heard anything yet. They transferred me to a level 2 officer. Level 2 called me back later on and looked at my case, told me the target date for them to respond is Oct.4th. I said ok, if I don't hear anything I will call back on the 5th. I am pretty sure you probably will hear something this week too.
  2. I just got mine done last tuesday. I received my letter after my appointment date. Initially my appointment was the 22nd but I had no problem getting it done. The receptionist didn't even bring it up. They're very organized I found. I was inside the support center for 10-15 minutes tops. They first took my signature, then fingerprints (this one took the longest) and then my photo. They are going to check if you have any cuts on your hands. Don't worry about it you will be fine. Just don't forget to bring your appointment letter and ID. Bring 2 or more ID just in case. If you can bring your passport. I also brought it all my papers for my AOS but we just left it in the car and didn't end up needing it.

Thank you so much for sharing!

Good info from previous poster, only thing I would add. If your a K visa, bring your marriage license. Most of the offices do not want you coming in with electronics. No phones tablets etc.

Thank you! Totally forgot about looking at the previous posts! Lol!
  3. Try to call them. I think the issue is within the Biometrics Office. Once they've received your Biometric's Fee they will inform the Biometric's Office in your area and they're supposed to make you an appointment. That's why I said I didn't receive any mail after the confirmation that the payment was accepted last August 16. That would give them reason to check your status as well as the Biometrics Office- rather than giving you an advice to wait for 30 days before they'll get back to you. The agent who answered my call yesterday sent an inquiry to Seattle's Biometrics Office and they found out that they're supposed to mail me my schedule way back August 16.

I called them but they told me that I called on the 19th of Sep with a referral number. So they won't do anything until another 30 days. Did you speak to a level two officer or just the first one who answered the phone?
  4. No appointment today. We did open referral 2 weeks ago and when we call yesterday the gentleman we talked to said they are suppose to make a decision or action on it by Oct. 4. Until then he can not open another one. He was very helpful and patience.

Oh I notice you are in RockFord,IL . We are about an hour away in Montgomery,IL.

I called in yesterday and they told me the same thing. Wait until Oct.4th....

  5. Just called USCIS again today and finally got a referrak number. So we still need to wait. ??? i hope we all get our biometrics letter sooner than later. Its frustrating. ???

    Same here, lol!

Glad you got a referral number today!

Hopefully we will get the bio letter this week! Stay positive! ?

That would be great! but he is retired, so I am not sure if that counts..... and we're in NJ, it looks like it takes them that long (according to other forums on NJ specifically....). Maybe I can be lucky!

I heard people say that, I know in NC the military case moves faster. We were stationed at NC, but just moved to CA. Not sure how everything goes here, hope it moves faster too! (I kinda doubt it, since I haven't got my bio letter yet. Haha!)

    Still hope for the best!

  6. Also done with the biometrics yesterday!

2 hours wait for a 2 minutes fingerprints and picture taken.....

By the way, I am glad I had plenty of IDs on me, I had my driver license, but that wasn't enough! The notice had my new name and all my middle names, not my driver license. I am so glad I did my military dependent ID with all the names on it

Now, another 2 months of patience for the EAD and 10 months for the GC!

    Congrats!

It's gonna take 10 months to get GC?

I heard they normally process military case faster, have you heard about it? Are you at Fort Bragg?

  7. I called them on 15th. The lady I talked to said it has been 30 days since the notice date. That's why I didn't have problem getting a referral number. I don't understand the lady you talked to. She told you 30 days after you receive the letter? They don't know when you receive a letter, all they know is the receipt date (because it is in the system). So they should base on the receipt date.

I suggest you try again, when you do, just tell them your receipt date on you NOA letter.

Hi, have you got your bio letter after you called?

I called today and got a referral number, now I am waiting ?

  8. The lady was not rude but I can say she dont like taking calls too. Haha. But she said as much as she would like to make a report now, the system wont allow her coz 30 days since i received the hard copies of NOA haven't pass yet. I actually got the mail for the NOAS on the 22nd. But the envelope have a stamp date.of the 19th. So maybe, the USCIS are notified by the post too on when they have delivered the mail. That's was just my thouht. So if i have not received it tomorrow. I'll call again on the 21st Wednesday.

That's so weird. But like she said, you can just call back on Wednesday!

I do hope all of us get the bio letter today! Lol!

    Let's keep each other posted!

  9. Short call for me. The lady said I should allow 30 days after I received the actual notices in the mail. I thought it was 30 days after the notice date in the letter. Oh well, she said calll back again on Wednesday so she can make a report about it. But it should be in the mail this week according to her.. i really hope we received it this week.

I am sorry they told you that. It's kinda weird, the lady I spoke with earlier didn't really give me a hard time about the date. My NOA date is 17th and now it's 19th, I didn't know some of them would track the date when you physically received the mail.

I think all of us will receive it in the mail this week! Let's keep our fingers crossed!

  10. Does anyone tried calling the USCIS today regarding their biometrics letter? Let us know how it go. I'll call tomorrow. It's been more than 30 days ???

Hi, I just called USCIS. The lady asked a bunch of information and gave me a referral number. She told me I should receive the biometric appointment letter in mail in a few days, if not, call them back in 30 days.

Hopefully we all receive our bio letter this week! I will recommend you to call them asap too.

  11. Everyone seems to get their bio appointment within a month. 36 days and no letter for me.

Form I-485 check case said that "

August 17, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485" I hope to get my bio letter sometimes by the 17th at least and just do walk in...

Don't worry, we have the same timeline. I am still waiting for the biometric appointment letter. It will come soon! ?
