  1. I know my green card will be conditional one because my husband and I we have been married less than 2 years (1 year and 4 months now). But does anyone know when I can apply to remove the condition? Can I file it as soon as we have been married for 2 years or I have to count from holding the conditional green card for 2 years? I know the immigration officer will explain it during/after the interview, but I am just curious. Thank you in advance for your input!

  2. Yeah it was weird. I guess that means my EAD was approved as my status went from "Received on August 15", to "New Card Being Produced"... Wish I knew how long it will take until the card is produced and will be mailed.

But yes... I did a walk in today at 9:30am... called USCIS on my way home and they said that New Card Was Being Produced as of today... so I don't know if that was approved before my biometrics or if they really got my biometrics that fast and updated instantly (which I doubt the latter).

The customer service agent said they can't do anything else until after 60 days if I don't get the combo card... I might call again and see if another agent will do something, all they can do is say no?

And yes, it is that fast for them to get the biometric info on the EAD card. Mine is the same like yours, I got my card in two weeks with the photo/fingerprints on as well.
  3. NOA date 8/17

    Biometric done 10/21

EAD "card is being produced" 10/21

EAD "card was mailed to me" 11/2

I will come back to report once I get the card in mail and waiting for the AOS interview scheduling now.

    Good luck every one!

I also have an infopass on 11/15 to follow up my biometric and interview scheduling.

    Updates:

11/05 got the EAD card in the mail (I didn't apply for AP)

    Hope my timeline helps :)

    Waiting for AOS interview now!

  4. On friday we recieved both a hard copy letter saying that our petition for permanent resident had been approved and we received....drum roll please.....the ACTUAL GREEN CARD!!!!!! This is so exciting my husband is now looking for a job and we both feel incredibly lucky that our case moved so quickly. The website hasn't updated to terminate our ead or ap application, but I guess it doesn't really matter now.

We are now going to start working on:

getting a social security card that doesn't say "valid for work only with approval" or something like that. I'm not sure how to do that yet, but hopefully it isn't terribly difficult.

getting my husband on my health insurance

getting him a credit card in his name so he can begin having credit

Good luck to everyone as you continue your waits. I hope that everyones approvals come as quickly as possible.

Congrats!! Good luck on your husband's job hunting!!
  5. Just want to share something about the "walk in" biometric appointments. A tier 2 told me mail the appointment notice back and write down "on xxxx day, I did an walk in and USCIS office let me complete my biometric etc."

I am personally not sure if it's necessary to do that. Because in the system, he is able to see my bio is complete. So I don't know what's the point of mailing the lette back, what do you think?

  6. Yeah, my cases are in Missouri, at NBC. I saw someone from Cleveland, Ohio here with the same timeline as me. They had their interview 10/18. And when you think for 7 weeks I did not know anything about the supposedly missed appointment. By the way ask the speak to a tier 2 again to see if they got your Biometrics, most likely tier 1 would be lost.

Thank you! I will call them next Monday. Since my bio was done last Friday, I want to give them sometime to see if they will receive something to show my bio is done in their system.
  7. I received 2 same biometric letters as well.

Dates are the same and everything else.

I also did walk in for the bio.

I'm sure you have called USCIS for biometric more than once, right?

    I think here's what happened.

1 notice was a normal notice sent by USCIS after your biometric was scheduled and the other was sent via your request.

If you talked to different tier 2 officers in the past, this may be a high possibility.

I see. Yes, I did call them more than once and have talked to a tier 2 I the past. Maybe that's why I received 2 bio letter. Thank you!

For the peace of mind I say just go back and if they will take them again no big ideal.

    Your call :)

    Mine is for November 9.

By the way, when you went to the infopass, did you find out where your case is at? The local office or NBC?
  8. Buggy016 found out in her infopass that her case wad already in her local office

It might be true to others especially those who have noa date of August 17. No harm in asking. You can never predict uscis work.

Yes, for some reason my case was transferred to my local office on Oct.5th (a helpful tier 2 told me on the phone before the infopass and I did see my paperwork and the photos I submited in the local office. So I am pretty sure my case is there lol) before my biometric. My biometric was scheduled on Nov.7th but I got it done the same day (Oct.21st) as my infopass since they are in the same building. Hopefully they can schedule my interview soon since my case is already in the local office.

I think if it has passed 60 days and you haven't got your biometric appointment, an infopass should be helpful. Good luck everybody and congrats on the ones who got good news!
