My husband had an incident years ago. We turned in copies of the court documents during the K1 interview process, the AOS, and now we need to do the ROC. It has never been a problem as it was minor but, do we need to turn in another copy of the documents and explain what happened?
Thanks!!

I want to share my recent experience in case anyone else is faced with the (terrifying!) task of rescheduling their AOS interview. I had read many horror stories but, at least in my case, it was no big deal.
So, I am a first-year Spanish teacher and I am taking some students to Madrid in March. Of course, our interview was scheduled for a day that I am out of the country. I freaked out and was so worried!
We simply sent my flight itinerary and a letter from my boss explaining why I would not be in town to our LOCAL office. They sent us a letter in about a week later
saying that our original appointment had been canceled. I was nervous but then our status changed online that we were ready to be scheduled again. A week later we had the new date.
Now we just have to prepare for the interview. Another nerve-wracking situation!
Hope this helps.

We are having the same problem is VA. My husband can finally work but they won't let him drive! So frustrating. Did you have any luck with the NOA1 from the AOS?? Thanks!!

Here is a great post:
You can do it online at this website: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/es-mx/iv
Good luck!

So my fiance has his appointment scheduled for August 15th. I keep calling the Consulate and they say that the packet 3 has not been sent and his information has not been registered, meaning he cannot attend his interview. They received his case on July 5th.
We don't know if we should go ahead and change the appointment or hope that they do it in time. Does anyone have experience with this?
Thanks in advance for the help. I didn't think we would run into this problem at this stage. I saw that some people got their packet 3 after just 1 day or a week. I wonder why it is taking so long....

Hi! We are getting the documents for his visa appointment, which my fiancee has in August. We still haven't received any letter from the NVC. Do we need that for the interview?? Thanks!!!!

Question. Does my fiance need to bring a copy of the i-129F packet to the interview with him?

We were also planning on waiting in Juarez. I would love to know the answer to this question! Juarez people help us!

Any updates?

EDIT: Nevermind. Already figured it out! Ignore post
Sorry this is probably something that has been asked but I can't find it anywhere!!
I just called NVC and got my case number. I checked the status and it says "At NVC", which is what the woman told me.
My questions:
1. How will I know when it gets sent to the Embassy? What will the status say?
2. When can I make my appointment? What will the status say?
Again, sorry if this is a redundant post! And thanks, of course, for your help!!!

It's just a notification of approval. You won't have to send anything back unless you get a second RFE which I think is highly unlikely. The letter doesn't really say anything except that you have to wait to hear from the NVC and then the consulate. You should have no problem. Just make sure the neighbor holds on to your mail! I think you need this document later on.
Good luck! Hope your letter arrives soon!!!

They responded exactly 3 weeks after they received my RFE response. It took another week for me to get the letter. My online status still hasn't changed.
I just got my response yesterday after some stressful days waiting. Hang in there! It will come soon!

Probably a stupid question so sorry if this is repeated! Does NVC send a letter with your case number when they receive your petition? I see that many people call but was just wondering what happens if you don't call. Thanks!!!

What was the date for your NOA2? I am just wondering because I am going through the process in Mexico. It does all seem confusing but hopefully the email from Juarez will clarify!
-
My RFE response was received on May 22nd and I still haven't heard anything. I thought it would be a fast turn around but now I am starting to worry!!!
I wake up everyday with hope and then nothing...
This is so hard! Should I call?? Or just keep waiting...

This might be a stupid question but... does anyone know why approvals have slowed down so much!? Last week I thought maybe it was training or they were catching up on December cases but now I am seriously starting to worry! I want to see more approvals!! Please if anyone knows anything let me know!
-
Got my RFE notification today...pretty disappointed. I guess we just have to wait to see why now. Hoping for approvals for the rest of you!

Seems like another quiet night...
-
I wish my lawyer had told me that! Thanks and I guess I will wait for the RFE...

@goodlulck52 Did your RFE specially mention that you need two separate signed statements? My fiance and I also only submitted one with both of our signatures. I am worried now! Thanks.

My fiance and I wrote the same letter of intent to marry. It has both of our signatures. Does it have to be 2 separate letters? Has anyone gotten approved with just 1 letter with both signatures? I guess maybe I should expect an RFE. Thanks in advance.
