  1. Proof of meeting is pretty much a neccesity. Unless you can prove for certain circumstances that you were unable to meet in the last 2 years (like her country forbids you enterance or something). As far as evidence goes, you don't have to send only photos. You can send passport stamps, credit card statements, anything that will show she was in India at that point in time. If you stayed in a hotel together somewhere, a reciept from the hotel. Some people send phone bills to show that they've called each other, etc.

  2. Here is the female version:

"Yo mom. Remember when you told me to stop playing with boys until I grew up? Well am now grown and will soon have a new household. Guess how? The joke is on you and dad. Hit me up if you have any follow up questions"

 that was a little comical relief for me.

Anyhoo, sorry about that. I thought TSC was still doing visa's as well?

  3. Well. For starters, I think you should tell your parents before you send off the information. My fiance and I just had to tell my parents that we were getting married. I am the US citizen, my fiance is from England. I can't really share many experiences with you as we've only just sent out our information this month. But, I can tell you that I was very afraid to tell my parents because my mom is a bit overprotective of me (I'm only 20 by they way) but, it was a lot easier than I had imagined. We told her and she pretty much said "As if I didn't see that coming." They're smarter than you think, and i'm sure they already have an idea about what's going on with you and your fiance. As far as CSC goes thats the same service center I am sending to. They are not the fastest in processing, but not the slowest either. I got my 1st notice only about a week after I sent my petition. I've seen some people get approved from there very quickly though. Just depends on how lucky you get.

  4. 37 pages?...mine was 70

If you sent it with signature confirmation it will be delivered day after tomorrow, they pick up the mail early AM.

Good Luck, hope your wait is short!

70 pages?? Geez. I was feeling like I added too much! I had like 20+ pages of just passport stamps, credit card statements, etc.

I got signature confirmation free with it the guy said at the post office? He was in a hurry, I got there right at closing!

  5. I have joined the waiting group! Sent out the I-129F today.

    *Does happy dance*

At least the process is started. I think it ended up being like 37 pages long. I hope I didn't send too much, but enough to not get an RFE.

Please give me a speedy approval :D

Edit: Oh yeah. I sent USPS express. Cost me $18.50 (more than I thought I had heard others say it cost, but I think most send it overnight? Mine is guaranteed for noon tomorrow?)

  6. Hey all.

    I have a few questions...

I have read this on here before, could someone please clarify it for me? After we get the visa, my fiance has 6 months to "activate" it, and then from the activation date, has 90 days to get married? Correct?

My fiance is from the UK, can he apply for a police record earlier in order to speed up the process? or are they going to ask for certain identification on why he needs it?

Also. As far as my part, on the petition. I only have to send my birth certificate right? Not birth certificate and copies of every page of my passport? I am sending passport stamp pictures, but not everything else, like the page with my picture on it... etc.

You apply for the ssn # after he gets here, before you get married?

I have also heard someone say before (not on this website) that to get a permanant residency card costs $1000 is that true?

I am sending out our petition today :) Just want to make sure I have everything correct.

    I have:

Check (with yesterdays date as thats the day I wrote it)

    Cover letter

    Petition

    Supplement to petition #18

G-325A (both... all 8 pages signed + 4 pages supplement for work history, all signed)

    Passport photos

    Letters of intent

    Birth certificate (front and back)

Evidence (Boarding passes, credit card statements, photos, passport stamps)

And... I have made 2 copies of the whole thing, aside from all 8 pages of the G325A's, I only made 1 copy for each of us, because it's the same thing. lol.

As far as the packet goes, is it alright to highlight things? I want to highlight dates on things with same colors so they know which things correspond. Like, His passport stamps to Canada (green) and my Credit card statement showing the hotel (green) etc.

Here later today, I get to join the waiting game with you all. Oh yey!

By the way. Wish me luck, my fiance goes back home today. Good thing is, we will see each other again Decemeber 9th hopefully. :)

  7. Hey all,

Quick question. I went to get photo copies of everything made earlier. And I had read that they want you to send a copy of the front and the back of the birth certificate? Why is that? The back of mine has nothing on it. It's just looks like a grey colored piece of paper with a few black marks (where there are creases in my birth certificate) You can't see the seal on the other side?

  8. I know the difference between the two. I just wanted to write that as proof that we met, but also show when we started our relationship and how we met (outside the 2 year time frame) so that they know we have an established relationship.

Thank you all for replying! I am hopefully sending out my packet tomorrow the day my fiance leaves!

  9. Hey all,

I wrote this supplement to the proof of meeting. Please check it and tell me what you think. I'd rather give too much info than not enough. I want to show solid proof of our relationship!

I met Chris on September 4, 2001 on MSN messenger through mutual friends online. We started our committed relationship September 5, 2002, after we met in person the first time when I was traveling to England with a school group on July 17, 2002. We have since been traveling back and forth for vacations and holidays.

In the last two years we have seen each other a total of four times. The first meeting was when I went to England for the holidays in 2004. I stayed from December 26 to January 12th 2005. I stayed with Chris’ family during this period. I am including passport stamps, photos, boarding passes and credit card statements from this time period. Chris then traveled to the United States from April 18th 2005 to July 7th 2005. During this time we traveled to Myrtle Beach, pictures will be included from this event. After that, Chris traveled to the United States again from November 22nd 2005 to February 16th 2006 to stay for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentines Day. During that period we traveled to Niagara Falls, I will be including my credit card statement and Chris’ passport stamps to show evidence of that. Chris then traveled to the United States again on July 12th 2006 and will be leaving October 4, 2006. During this time we traveled to Niagara falls again, which I will be including my credit card statements and Chris’ passport stamps to show evidence of that meeting.

  10. We couldn't fit all of STewart's either. We attached a sheet. On the top of the sheet we put the form number, his name...EVERYTHING and then finished his work history.

We put a few, then see attached, then the attachment :)

    Hope that helps.

Right now I have his name and address at the top. I don't have alien number or anything like that yet obviously. So I figured his name and address would be suficient. I'm just unsure on if I should leave a few or put it all on one spreadsheet :S... Decisions, decisions...

  11. Hey all,

For the employment history part on the G325A my fiance's employment has been pretty sketchy because of his visits here, and other factors. It doesn't all fit on the space if I include the periods of unemployment. I made a whole list on an excel spreadsheet and was going to make 4 copies of that to send off with it. Should I just put See attached in the box where it asks for employment history? Or should I start off with a few, put see attached, and then finish it on the excel spreadsheet? I think it looks much better being all together on one page, but I'm trying to do it the way it should be done. Thanks in advance!

By the way I did try and search this on the engine, but couldn't really find a whole lot on this situation. Just stuff about what to put on and not what to put on the employment history.

  12. Quick question. I'm filling out the G325A for myself right now. The part where it says city and country of birth. Do you think they'd get mad if I put "Cincinnati, Ohio, USA" because I know for some cities there are multiples of city names in different states, I don't want there to be confusion!

  13. hey all,

Quick question. If i ask sign in to save my password will it not let me log in on another computer? I have my desktop saved to let me sign in automatically when i get on the webpage. When I try to sign in on my laptop however it tells me that I am not a registered user. It says my username doesn't exist. Is this because i'm already signed in on another computer?

  14. Hey everyone,

I have always heard the stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked so here goes... When they ask for the evidence of meeting in the last two years can it only be two years? We've been together nearly 4 years and there are times we have met that I have evidence for before the time they ask for. I'd like to be able to tell them when we started our relationship etc, how we met the first time. I also have pictures I wouldn't mind showing that are from before 2 years as well. Like my graduation from High school (that he was at), prom pictures, etc. Thanks in advance!
