@SummanThank you for joining the forum. I have seen you from other immigration site and asking this question you have here. I believe too that you submitted your application in Dallas TX?

    1. When you fill up the application form DS-11 (for New Passport Application) or DS-82(for Renewal of Passport Application), you need to put any travel dates and country (approximation or estimated).

    2. Processing Time in Dallas TX. It all varies. As you submit your application to National Passport Processing Center (Post Office Box 640155 Irving, TX) The Passport Processing Center will send your application to any of the Passport center/Agency. Let us hope that your application will go same Passport Center/Agency where the passport of Datty85 have been processed. Best to wait @Datty85 share to all which Passport Agency will his/her passport be coming from as shown on the envelope.

I agree with the second point.

on the first point, I didn't put any travel dates on my application

How did you pay the fee for your N400? Using form G-1450?. I'm gonna apply next week for naturalization. My I-751 is still pending, I filed on Aug 13, 2018, that number starts with SRC.

I filed online so i paid with my Debit card.

oh my goodness. Thank you! I created an account and can see case history now. I had created a different USCIS account through here (https://myaccount.uscis.gov/) and it just said your case is received. Wild.

Yeah it's crazy how both websites don't communicate with each other but oh well... I'm glad you go it done.

Is this from the My USCIS website where you create an account? Or just the case status site where you don't need to login?

I created an account and all it shows is "your case has been received". No case history, no next steps. And on the case status site it just shows my case has been transferred. They are so inconsistent!!

    This is from https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

You will need to create an account as well if you want to see the case history if not you will only be able to see the status of your case.

  5. My I-751 case has been in the Texas Service Center Since August 14, 2018 (SRC). Biometrics waived February 27,2019.

I didn't hear anything from them since so i applied for N-400 online as soon as i became eligible on July 29 ,2019

Now my case has been transferred to a new office but it seems that they completed another biometrics review before transferring it according to the case history. I hope it's a good thing. I will keep y'all updated

I don't think all offices are doing transfers,  mine doesn't have the note saying they are moving applications. If you look up the New York - New York field office you can see the note. https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/new-york-new-york-field-office

Doesn't look like Dallas or Houston are doing transfers.

    Yes Dallas is transferring now

  7. I think this should be a good reason to file N-400 when you become eligible if that's the end goal

USCIS Aims to Decrease Processing Times for N-400 and I-485

USCIS will implement a national strategy to decrease differences in processing times based on location for Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status.

Since the end of 2015, we have experienced an increase in processing times due to higher than expected volumes received during fiscal years (FY) 2016 and 2017 that did not decrease as originally projected. FY 2017 receipts were up 15.6% from FY 2016, and FY 2016 receipts were up 25.5% from FY 2015. The increased filing volumes did not affect our field offices equally, which resulted in some disparity in the processing times among field offices.

As we shift caseloads between field offices to decrease processing times, we may schedule applicants to appear for an interview at a field office outside of their normal jurisdiction. Applicants may receive an interview appointment notice or other types of notices (such as a Request for Evidence) from a field office outside of their normal jurisdiction. However, these caseload changes will not affect where applicants attend their biometrics appointments. We will still direct them to the nearest application support center. Applicants should follow the instructions on any notices they receive from USCIS.

USCIS remains committed to adjudicating applications, petitions, and requests for immigration benefits as effectively and efficiently as possible in accordance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations while securing the integrity of the immigration system.

If you have questions about an appointment notice we send you, you may contact the USCIS Contact Center.

I am only basing my post on a friend of my husband's who did the same thing we plan on doing and he got his 10 year green card within the normal timeframe and then shortly thereafter (within a couple of months) he received the notification they had accepted his N-400. Actually, we know 3 others who have done this and it didn't change anything. Perhaps things in the approval process have changed since then, I'm not sure. Their approvals were early last year.  Are the N-400's only done in Texas ?  Our current application is in California.

Its worth the shot. Yes N-400 applications are processed and approved at your local office (Dallas, TX).

If you know people it has worked for i would say go for it.

Below is your latest I-751 approval estimate! Keep in mind that this will vary slightly as your immigration case progresses -- this is normal!

    Your I-751 Approval Estimate
    December 20, 2019

**Received this e-mail yesterday from visa journey with an estimate of when we will be approved. Hopefully it will be this year !  That would make a great Christmas present !

Also on the USCIS website it stated this

    March 29, 2019

    Fingerprint Review Was Completed

As of March 29, 2019, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number ######, at our location. We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

How many of you are going to file for citizenship prior to your I-751 being completed ? My husband and I have decided we will. He is eligible in September and will file the N-400 prior to this being approved. We want to be through with this whole process once and for all !

Well you won't get approved in December if you apply for N-400. Applying for citizenship will trigger a combo adjudication that means your N-400 and I-751 will go to the back of the line for citizenship. And we know Dallas, TX takes forever.

Apply for citizenship if you are comfortable with waiting that long and  getting stamps on your passport every 3-6 months to prove residency while you wait.

  10. Hey guys,

I don't know if this makes sense to try but after i got  the status update that my biometrics will be reused, i placed an e-request for an "approval notice i did not receive".

On March 7, 2019 it says that my request has been assigned to an officer for response. This is just an experiment. I'm hoping the officer opens my case and actually adjudicates, issue an RFE or something. It's probably a crazy move and will never work but i thought i should share to y'all if you are that brave.

    My case is at TSC.

I had California as my filing location originally, but during the chaos, my application was sent to Arizona briefly to cash the check and after sent to Texas to be processed. I've not heard anything since then (September 21st.) Anyone else happen to be in the same situation? I think we're only seeing the California ones being updated at the moment, so I'm assuming Texas just haven't caught up as well as they have 😔

Mine was moved from California to Texas around the same time applications were transferred and i got the fingerprint review completed.

I think you should put in a service request for biometrics.

  12.

My case was received on 08/14/2018 at CSC. Didn’t hear anything not even cash checked until October 22 when my NOA was issued with SRC1890xxxx meaning my case was moved to Texas Service Center.

Long story short, it shows online that On February 27,2019 Fingerprint Review was Completed. I never received a biometrics appointment or waiver of any kind.

    What does it mean?
