Our marriage is already registered in Egypt. We did that a few months ago.

It surely is a crime under U.S. laws called material misrepresentation, and jail and/or paying fines is the punishment.

Also, any paperwork resulting from me immigrating can be taken away - i.e: greencard or citizenship - and the punishment can be even more severe.

The delay was their fault not ours, so we didn't care about their negligence and moved on with our lives.

    Alhamdullilah for everything.

    Hey everyone,

    Congrats ya @Ayman taha.

I've also been called to send in my passport and other documents and get my visa. I responded with withdrawing the case because we're married after their over 2 years of Administrative Processing.

    Ridiculous, I know!

But technically I got my visa, yay! :D

    Thanks for your support everyone.

    !!!!!!!!!

So what now? You will just reapply? Was not there another workaround? Like not telling them or something and just travel and marry a civil marriage there in the states?!

well thank you, maybe we should just set the new limit of AP to two years

    Hello everyone,

Just want to let you know that, after being in AP over 3 years at US Embassy in Cairo and 2 years in I-130 approval processing at USCIS. We have decided to file a Write Mandamus and APA lawsuit case against the US Governments and its Officers. Alhamdulilal, we finally filed our strong case at The District Court in Washington DC 30 days ago, the lawsuit case took a place against multiple government agencies and US officers including the US Embassy in Cairo. Everyone got served 14 days ago and they should have to give their answer to the judge within 60 days from the day they got served. Basically we waiting for another 45 days from now.

I will let y'all know inshAllah as soon as we get updates on our case.

Please don't forget us from your pray.

    Thank you

    Good luck, long anticipated step

you will always be in my prayers

again I wish you the best of luck

    so sorry

this is one of the longest AP on here

sometimes everything immigration does is weird when they post

Adil was here a year before it said issued

Does it say Available for interview?

    or available for pickup visa

lets hope it says issued soon

    incha allah

Yeah and I know at least two that have been there more than me

No, just the same AP message “your case is going necessary .....etc”

Are you aware of the “emailed/available” vs the “emailed or available” thing?

did they ask your husband to schedule a second interview?

  6. Hello everyone

after about 21 months in AP the embassy contacted me for sending renewed medical, police certificate and passport and resubmit the ds-260 then asked me to schedule an interview to retake oath (fingerprints) and told me I am approved and to wait for the passport with visa within two weeks .... 3 weeks passed so far and nothing yet

is there anyone here who went through the same experience ? Is it usual to take a lot of time after that with a bazillion update on the website

also those of you who know about the (mailed/available to mailed or available) thing ... I know it happens when AP is over and it happened to me but the wierd thing is it changed back again to mailed/available .... is this normal?

  7. Hello there

i know it has been a long time since this was posted

i had the same thing happening to me (change to mailed or available and was called to send renewed stuff and the passport then scheduled another interview to retake the oath and fingerprints and I was told I am approved and to expect my visa within two weeks) then after two weeks I got the CEAC status reversed back to mailed/available ....

have any of you heard about this? Any thoughts?

because I am going crazy over it

Update - it's been awhile I have not been here sense returning from Egypt in early 2018. Our case was logged back in to USCIS 5-15-18
Today marks our 180th day and still waiting for NOIR paperwork
Senator's office said we wont hear anything from Texas service center until early 2019

It is taking a lot of time nowadays as I have heard and it is also different from a case to another as I have heard

I wish you will have something very soon
