Question. My medical expired on April. Should i get another medical before the interview and just hand the envelope to the IO or do i have to wait for him to give me the RFE at the interview?

My fiancee medical expired on February 24 and the interview was on  May 23.  She didn't do new medicals and they didn't ask for anything.

Our I-765 and I-131 petitions been approved (per email notification) since September 2. The case status online is not updated, shows Case Received May 10, and the I-485 shows Case Ready to be Scheduled for Interview since June 11. Just got off the phone with a tier-2 supervisor filling a 3rd SR requesting why card has not been produced and shipped out. The previous 2 SR never got assigned, the wait continues. Anyone else experiencing the same or similar issue?

    Similar here:
I-131 - approved (per mail  Sept 20 ) but no card yet and status in website "Case received on May 30"

I-765 - No news since Biometrics July 7, status "Case received on May 30"
AOS -  Ready to be scheduled for an interview since July 12
Filed 2 SR no answer at all :(

  3. Hello, my Fiancee already has her Visa and she is already in USA,  we will get married in May, and a few days after we will be moving to a new house and sending the AOS, my question is,  we fill out the AOS with the new address right? and do we have to notify USCIS about this new address or just send the AOS with the new address and continue the process with the new address?

Oh yes, we are looking at this too, as nothing available in Juárez, but appts in CDMX. The problem with calling the ASC, is we keep running into impossible to bypass automated numbers.

How about medical? Are you doing it in Juárez or elsewhere?

So so glad to hear someone else is doing the ASC in DF! More travel for my fiancé as he lives in Tepic and is at a distance from both, but we will do about anything to get this process done!!

You have to read the instructions, as my Fiancee will do the medicals at CDMX but I think that options is just for people living in Estado de Mexico and CDMX, (she is from Estado de Mexico), but I'm not sure

  5. The petitioner has to submit the last year tax return later on and these things will come up. Unless she pays the taxes, it will be a problem.

I (petitioner) have everything in order, it's just her (petitionee) that I wanted to be sure about. The income was never reported so her country would have no knowledge of taxes owed - I just want to be sure that this won't cause any problems and wanted to know how the G-325A should be filled out.

  6. One more question, I tried searching but couldn't find a definitive answer. Since I need to use my 2016 W-2 to put me over the 125% and we are thinking by the time we file our K-1, our interview will be some time in February, does it matter if I only provide the W-2 or do I need to include it as a return? I'm just not sure I'll have the return ready in time as I barely receive the W-2 from my employer at the beginning of February. I have already requested the last 3 tax return transcripts from the IRS site to include although the 2015 one is a bit shy of the 125%.

  7. She has met my siblings, mother, and most of my mom's side of the family while she was here but we didn't think to take photos of everyone at the time. I will be going to visit her for her brother's wedding in October and will definitely take photos with her and the family while I'm there but if we filed now, they wouldn't be seen until interview time and that gets me a bit worried as I've read a lot about "front-loading" - they may have already made their decision before you even show up to the interview. Nobody knows for sure but we just want to give ourselves the best chances.

  8. Sorry for the confusion. We are not married now. We are planning to apply for a K-1 in order to make this happen. She came here legally on a B-1/B-2 Visa and has already returned home. We're just figuring out our best course of action from here.

In regard to passing through the airport - you may be right but we've already purchased a non-refundable round-trip ticket for her and according to some guides/posts here - it is possible and they did mention bringing the K-1 paperwork through to help but again, nobody can be sure of what will happen.

We will at least have some photos of me and her family by interview time but the initial packet would be lacking those if we sent in our application now as we'd like to do.

  9. We're getting ready to send our I-29F and are getting worried that we don't have any photos with any of our family or friends. She came here as a friend I'd met in an online game. We weren't boyfriend/girlfriend when she applied for her B-1/B-2 Visa but only a week or two into her 3 month stay with me, we started a relationship and fell in love with each other. We both enjoy traveling so the initial plan was for me to show her the USA and that we did but didn't take a huge amount of photos as we weren't thinking about getting married and applying for a K-1 at that point. We have at least 2 trips planned where we will definitely be taking pictures with her family and she will take some with mine assuming the officer at the airport allows her to pass (we're going to bring all K-1 documentation and NOA1 proof in hopes that it will convince them that we are planning on doing things the correct way.) but we wanted to get the process started sooner rather than later but not if it's going to make an impact on the decision. Would you say this plays a large role in things? We have some photos to include with the I-29F and will have plenty more (and at least some photos with her family) by interview time, would you say we are safe applying now or shall we wait? She's from Mexico if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!
