Toxiichoney got a reaction from emily&gabby in Visa status check says ready
    1.  After you receive notice that your case is ready for scheduling, fill out the DS-160 application form online at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/. You must answer all the questions.  If your children are applying for a visa with you, each one must completely fill out the DS-160 form online. You must present the print out of the confirmation page, which contains a series of bar codes, and present this confirmation sheet at the VAC and the Embassy on the day of the interview.   We suggest you keep a record of the Application ID displayed on the top right-hand corner of the page in the event you need to access your profile.
    2. You need to create your profile/electronic account at ww.ustraveldocs.com/do. After completing your profile, choosing a delivery location, and selecting the correct visa class, you will be directed to a confirmation page that lists the visa fee amount due.
    3.  Pay the K visa application fee, the equivalent of US$265 in Dominican pesos, online with a credit card or at any branch of Banco Popular in the Dominican Republic. This one-time fee covers appointment scheduling, client support, and delivery services. If you are unable to pay in person at a Banco Popular branch in the Dominican Republic, a friend, relative, or representative may go to Banco Popular and pay in your stead with a copy of your CGI deposit slip. No other documentation is required.
    4.  Finally, return to the website at www.ustraveldocs.com/do to schedule your appointments at the VAC and Embassy. You will first select a day and time for your Embassy interview. You will then select a day and time to visit the VAC prior to your interview.

They absolutly can if it is deemed unconstitutional, or against US law.

In other news, they just announced that Green Card holders will no longer be affected by this dumb @$$ policy going forward, but who knows if they change this again:

My Yemeni husband was issued a visa on Thursday, the day before this Order was signed No words can describe how it feels to be targeted like this for absolutely no reason. You can all sigh in relief if you like, but I do not wish this feeling on anyone. Truly crushed.

i lost my passport before. i wanted to go to europe. i could not.  (canadian citizen) the embassay told me i could get a 1 time travel document that would allow me to enter canada on a plane.  that is what you will need.
-oh, and how i figured this out? i googled the embassay and picked up the phone and called.

throughout your posts you seem to have alot of excuses for this AOS. no one is giving you sympathy. if your wife has her legal permanant us resident she could visit her family back home, get a job, work, make friends and life like a normal person.  yes, you brought her here LEGALLY but u did not follow through and allowed her to live illegally.

if i was in your situation, i would apply asap for her to AOS. and get her a greencard and have her go home and visit. maybe that is all she needs.. once she LEAVES without her greencard she will incur a 10yr (which is really a lifetime ban) to the USA. also, having a US overstay on her passport will not allow her to travel to many places. i know she will never be able to go to canada and other places as well.. what if she leaves and then wants to come back??? she wont be able to (or maybe she will after a 20k waiver)
i really encourage you to apply for her GC, and then have her go home and visit and see what happen s after that.  its not like u were married 6 months... you were married 7 years.

I'm not sure how many times I have to write the same thing, but again this is incorrect. An I-9 is required to be on file for employees, sure, but again you are not required to fill in an I-9 form until you are offered employment. An employer is not permitted to verify your employment status until you fill in an I-9 form which, again, you are not required to do (in fact, not permitted to do, according to the form instructions) until offered a job.

Does she realize once she leaves she will have a 10yr ban snd won't ba able to come back tonamerica?

Did you even have any intention on getting her Greencard or r u just holding her hostage???? If she had a job she would make friends and she would be able to go home and visit!! She could be a citizen by now!!!! You are unrral!

sorry,  no one comes here on a K1 and wants to be out of status for 7 years!!!

he has been posting BS topics the past 5 years always asking quesitons about AOS and how he is 'almost ready to send it in'
he has been a member since 2008! I didnt go through all his posts, but it seems as though hes either a-lazy or b-just wants the con trol and is scared when she gets a. GC she will leave...
reading his posts he just seems like he will never end up doing the AOS..

He brought her here.. she isnt working she has no friends and no money.  how is SHE responsible for this???
whether she wants to continue to be with him or not, she has been here for 7 years she deserves him to petition for her and get her a GC and see if that will change anything...

I have no idea what you are talking about. The K1 will allow your fiancé to enter the US to marry you.  The DS 160 is to be filled out by your fiancé prior to scheduling interview at embassy.
