  1. As I understand it IMBRA shouldn't apply to you if you filed before March 6th of 2006. Also, if you have your NOA2 in hand I cannot understand why you would recieve another RFE. Your timeline states you recieved an RFE in July...was that not the IMBRA RFE? I guess my advice would be to call the customer service line, and get an exact answer to the status of your case. Good luck.

  2. Biometrics is for fingerprints  Bring the notice and her passport or state identification card

Darya????? If she's not your family member :D better sent it back to the USCIS... :o

Maybe that notice was sent to the wrong address

As I understand it, Darya is the OP's stepdaughter. She is called "Dasha" earlier in the post, because this is the short form of her name (already short enough though, eh?). Like Jenny for Jennifer, or Steve for Steven. It's common in Russian language. Hope that helps to clear up some confusion. :)

  3. Its so wierd too, because this morning I finally decided to call the Congressman's office...but his immigration guy didnt seem like he was going to do anything immediatley anyway...and then the approval just happened.

Regardless of how it occured, I am thankful to everyone here on the board for all of the support I have gotten. Special thanks to SbgWolf, and Gary and Luzy C. You guys have been awesome, and I am sure I am not the only one who apprciated all of your efforts! Many of us waited for SO long....TOO long even for this special day. I didnt even know how I was supposed to feel about it when it happened....I dreamed of it for so long!!

    Thank you everybody here!!!!!!!!

  4. HOLY #######!!!

I dont even know what to do now?!?!?! Crying? Laughing???

    HA!!!!!!!

I gotta call her and wake her up!!!!

    Receipt Number: LINXXXXXXXXXX

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status:

This case has been approved. On September 11, 2006, an approval notice was mailed. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.

  5. I got a couple weeks before 6months...I have until monday for that '60 days from rfe' #######. Either way....lets hope this week brings the rest of this tribe into the celebration instead of a wardance

    wolf

I called when I reached the 60 days from RFE...unfortunatley it produced no results. The woman said its only for non IMBRA RFE's that past 60 days would be considered outside processing time. I was SO dissapointed when she told me that. :(

  6. I would also like to thank Gary (and Luzy) for all of their hard work and support for the rest of us. Gary's webpage and spreadsheet has been absolutley amazing, and it really helped me to show my girl how the process works. She understands that there is a "line" we must wait in, but she didn't understand how long that line was until I sent her the link to Gary's page! Honestly....I had a bittersweet moment when I read about Gary and Luzy's approval...I was SOOO happy for them, but at the same time I quickly became worried that his moving on would mean his leaving the forum. But in any case, I and all the rest of the VJ family are thankful for all you have done for all of us. You have helped all of us cope with what at times has seemed like an impossible process. THANKS GARY!!!!!

    ~Dan
