  1. Congratulations....not to much longer now

Here is what is left of people awaiting NVC numbers for Sept.

    9-01-06 = 3

    9-05-06 = 4

    9-06-06 = 2

    9-07-06 = 12

    9-08-06 = 6

    9-09-06 = 1

    9-11-06 = 9

    9-12-06 = 2

    9-13-06 = 2

    9-14-06 = 3

    9-15-06 = 4

    9-18-06 = 10

    9-26-06 = 5

    9-27-06 = 5

    9-28-06 = 5

    9-29-06 = 5

** No cases from 9-21-06 to 9-29-06 have NVC numbers, and no cases from 9-19-06 have NVC numbers.

everything else in between for Sept have a few approved cases with a lot approved in early sept. **

This data may not be very up to date if those people who got NVC numbers haven't updated there timeline.

Thanks for making the list! Now I see I am not alone!!! :D Hopefully, all those cases from early September are REALLY there, and just have not been put into the system yet. USCIS phone line told me that if I have an NOA2 in my hand, it means that the case HAS been sent to NVC. How the heck does mail take four weeks to go from coast to coast? Are they walking it there?????

  2. fwaguy, thanks for your reply. I am probably going to just tell her to use the original, because that is specifically what the Packet 3 asks for. I agree with you, a b.c. is a b.c no matter where it was issued or what the country was called at the time. Still looking for more info though. I am hoping to get a reply from a couple who has already had the interview at the embassy, because I am curious to see what was required of them.

  3. Hi folks,

I emailed the US Embassy in Moscow over the weekend to see if they'd received my K1 petition, as it was sent from the NVC on September 26. My fiancee has yet to receive Packet 3. Imagine my shock when I received this email today from the embassy:

We are looking forward to seeing Ms. XXXX here on December 12, at 8 am.

    Sincerely,

    Customer Service Unit

    Consular Section

    U.S Embassy, Moscow

I thought they waited until she returned the checklist before scheduling the interview?!?!?!?

Thats what I thought too!!! Did she turn it in and not tell you about it??? ;) No matter what, that is great you have your interview date! Good luck! :D

  4. Sasha was born when Ukraine was still part of the U.S.S.R. Her original birth certificate is from the U.S.S.R. She has taken all of her documents to be translated today, so that she would have them all prepared for the interview, and the translation official told her that her birth certificate should be remade as a Ukrainian one, that there is a new form that she should have had it re-done on.

I am not sure if this is true or not, as everything I have read has asked for the original b.c.

I am hoping that another couple here of VJ from Ukraine could authenticate this for me, and let me know what worked for them at thier interview.

It seems to me, that almost everybody of legal marrying age in Ukraine would have a b.c. generated in the U.S.S.R. because of the youthful age of the country. Is it really reasonable to generate new birth certificates for a whole country!?! :D lol

  5. I had to check my calendar and make sure that the date was not April 1st. Apparently this is serious, and you and Luz have discussed everything and decided this is the best way to go. The both of you have meant so much to all of us here at VJ and will certainly be missed. God bless you both, and may your future together be filled with sunny skies and smiles! :D

  6. Fantastic work as always Gary! I am a little concerned at the lack of Sept. 11 approvals that have actually reached the NVC (SbgWolf's is the only I one I know of so far) especially with all the NOA2s that have reached there dated after that. But hopefully the rest of us can fill in the timelines real soon!!! :D Thanks again!!! And thanks to Luz for the lovely picture comment she left for me!!! ;)

  7. I'm sorry but I think this will be lengthy. I'll try to keep it as short and simple as possible. Thanks! A little over 2 years ago I married a Russian wooman who was a working student in the States. We decided it to be best for her to return to Russia after the marriage to complete her degree. Our marriage sadly failed after beginning our CR1 process. She just kinda disappeared on me. We abandoned the process while the case was at NVC. Little more than half way. That was well over a year ago. In that time I actually met, fell in love with another woman, who surprisingly is also from Russia. Maybe this only sounds surprising to me, but what are the odds? In Virginia? Anyway....my divorce is finally just now completed. That's a whole other story. My new love is Alexandra. Sasha. We have spent many months together and love each other like crazy. She returned to Russia recently and we dreaded that day because we had no certainty of her being able to return. I've never experienced being in love with someone while finalizing a divorce, but the agony of not being able to marry Sasha because my divorce wasnt final was killing us. She had to go home and we had only one choice. A K1 visa. As soon as I have the divorce certificate in my hand the first packet can go out. now, I have some questions....Will there be any problem with our case if they see that I had abandoned an old case for a different woman, my spouse? or will the divorce documents be enough to satisfy?

Also, I have great tax history for the past 3 years and doubled the poverty level of income. However, for the first 7 months of 2006 i did not work due to an injury. I was forced to live off of my savings which dwindled quickly. Now, i'm working full time again. I'm a waiter and a bartender and my bank account says I'm broke as a joke. especially after surviving 7 months of no work. For 2006 I'm not going to meet the needed earning requirements. Now the IRS. They issue your tax info in January. So that means that as of October 2006 my last 3 years are 2003, 2004, 2005. But that step of our process (Af of Sup.) will not happen until sometime after the new year. So, by then will the embassy want 2004,5,6?? because my last year is not going to look so hot. Though we both know I'm more than capable and make plenty for both of us. Paystubs are good, but the bank statement and first half of '06 Tax History look poor. Can anyone shed some serious light on this puzzling ache in my head??? Thank you all so much for reading through this. I cant believe I'm going to do this again. At least this time I know its for the right reasons with the right person. We've learned everything about each other. Have a year of history together under one roof. This cannot fail us...

    Thanks....Sasha and Jason.

listen i read your story ,its seems that russians people here in the USA just look for papers,90% of russian are not good people , i had a lot of experiences with them ,so this woman just want to have the citezenship here so be careful, this is just an advice from me ,

Alibaba, that is not fair for you to make generalizations like that. I will agree its true that many Russian women are not trustworthy, but to make that assumption on every case is narrow minded. YOUR experiences are not everyone elses.

Jason. Your income level sounds fine. I submitted the last five years of income statements for MY Sasha's inteview (aff. of support), so just include the previous year as well. USCIS should not have a problem with your previous marriage as long as the divorce is completley final, and you submit the proper request for the waiver of limitations on multiple petitions. Your story sounds legit, and in the end Im sure it will work out for you. btw, your photo looks great, you guys look like a really happy couple. Love is the greatest. Good luck my man. :D

  8. jen,

Based on the extensive background you have provided about your situation and your objectives I can confidently say that yes, one is better than the other.

    Yodrak

    Any advise is greatly appericated.

    thanks

    jen

  9. we got our approval on 9/7/2006 and we still are not at the NVC .

I call them every day and send e-mails but till now they still have not recieved anything from the CSC.

I called CSC and they said we are in the staging area for shippment whatever that means.

I just hope they do whatever they need to do so we can start the next stage of waiting.

Next stage of waiting. That's so priceless!! And so true!!!

I called NVC today, and was told my petition hadnt reached them yet, but the woman said by next week it would be there for sure and asked me nicely to call again. My NOA2 date was Sept.11th. So next monday is four weeks. Im not stressing about.....YET. (okay maybe a lil bit!)

  10. I thought I prepared my fiancee for the long haul, but I really didn't. I compared my process to others in my similar situation. I said we should hear something within 60 days, nothing. I said we're with an adjudicating officer and we should hear something within 2 weeks, nothing. I just wanted to tell her some good news and give her hope, but it was false news and false hope. All this disappointment has weighed heavy on the relationship. Because of that, it's weighed heavy on the way I'm handling the petition now. Very intensely.

Good Luck to Everyone!!!! and God bless!!!!!

Yeah, I am totally with you on this Andy. You can tell her all of the news you actually have, which in essence is NO news at all. Which just drives the both of you crazy. And you want so desperately to tell her something positive when you call, or when you write the emails...but then there is just nothing to say. Its very difficult, and I completley understand how stressful it can be on the relationship.

Stay strong, and the two of you will be reunited soon. I see your sig. says with an adjudicator....cant be much longer now. Good luck my man. :)

  11. HELLO EVERYBODY!!!

The second time, I applied for the fiancée visa for

another Russian woman in June 2003; it was approved by

the INS but it was stalled at the US embassy in Moscow

    because of my previous fiancée visa application;

therefore it was pending for consular/administrative

    review.

Stalled at the embassy in Moscow AFTER INS approval? Even though you had a previous petition approved, I was under the impression that if INS approved it (after reviewing the history) that shouldnt matter at the embassy level.

Your story is very intriguing indeed.

I agree with the previous posters, find a savvy immigration attorney with experience with multiple petition cases. I wish you best of luck

  12. Congrats! Did you ever call the customer service line about not getting the NOA1 in the mail? Because you are going to want to make sure you actually get the hard copy of the NOA2 (im told you need it later for the AOS), and if there was a problem mailing the first one, it may still be a problem.

Hope everything goes smoothly from here on!

    :D
