  1. Hi everyone in October boat! Not sure if there's already an October thread going on, please admins merge.

I am assembling my package now to file. My window opened in August 27th and card expires in November 27th, but I am currently pregnant and my due date is October 10th. So i figured it would be better to file once the baby is here, that way we would have more evidences to add in our package. I know it probably won't make any difference, with baby pics and birth certificate lol but still something more.

How is it going for you guys? Tricks? Tips? Advices? Questions?  Worries? Shoot it all in here lol! Good luck to all of us, and may Lady Patience be our bestie! haha. Happy October!

If You Are Not, or Cannot Be, Included in Your Parent’s Petition

You are going to have to file your own petition to remove the conditions on your permanent resident if you became a conditional permanent resident more than 90 days after your parent did. Also, you can file your own petition if you became a conditional permanent resident before that but for some reason your parent doesn’t file his or her own petition or doesn’t include you on that petition.

    Hope this helps

Including them means pay also for them correct? Instead of 1x1 the amount to pay, i

should make the check 1x3?. Sorry if I sound silly, just trying to understand Loool.

  3. Hi guys. Quick question, I am a bit confused here. So i am gathering our docs to file for ROC, I received few days ago a letter from USCIS...a reminder that my conditional would expire. It said also on the letter that I have to submit a copy of the Green Card of any children who received conditional permanent status under my marriage. Now my question is, should we include my 2 children, knowing that their GC is not expiring until 2020? Because they followed to join under K2 visa a year later after me. I don't want our case to be rejected because the kids GC expiration date is not up yet. What do you think?

    Hello Guys,

First of all thanks everybody for sharing your experiences with the K1 visa and helping the rest of us. I am planning to post a brief description of my personal experience in a few weeks (hopefully I will be done with the interview as well) which I am sure will help quite a few people.

I am trying to look ahead and get prepared for the Adjustment of Status process after my entry in the US, and I have a question with regards to the required vaccination records.

Where did you guys take it from? Is there an official document I could legalize and present to the US doctors? As a Greek citizen, I only have a handwritten health book ( Vivliario Ygeias). I have looked a lot online to find any relevant case but nobody seems to talk about this.

Thank you so much in advance

    Antonios

Of you did your medical back home, the envelope that the embassy gave you has all your documentation and medical. You technically don’t have to provide any medical to Uscis when you apply for adjustment. I was approved without sending any further medical document besides the one that I did back home because it is valid for a year.

Guys question: I know its been 3 days since they received my response but I see that my date is close for the I-131 and I-765 in the Processing times. Can I or is anyone gone through this situation, ask for a info pass if our date comes up? or should we wait to see if it comes or I hear anything next month? November 18 will be officially 6 months not including the RFE TIME

I’d suggest you wait until you hear from them. It usually doesn’t take long after they receive your RFE response. After a week or if it’s too long, 2 weeks.

Are you referring to the 2nd bullet under "YOU MUST BRING..." in the appointment letter?  If yes, then the "unless already submitted" applies to you.  For k1/k2, the medical exam was submitted at the port of entry. It was in the sealed envelope. 🙂

We will bring copies of the vaccine reports (ds3025) and new vaccine paperwork from our family doctor...my wife and daughter got their flu shots last week because they weren't available in Vietnam.

Hi Jason , yes i was referring to that. Because i heard some people saying that they're still asked for that medical form even though it was already submitted.

I will be attending two K2 interview in the coming months.  I have packets for each of my two K2 children.  One will interview with her mother and I this month, the other will arrive in the U.S. in January.  Their packets are similar to the packet I have for my wife.  Each K2 will have their own I-864 and tax return/transcripts.  I have notarized copies of my marriage certificate (to their mother), birth certificate, and divorce decree for each child.  I included school records (showing her name at our address) and health insurance records (health card with her name, doctor's appointment bill).  My step daughter did not get a flu shot before coming to the U.S., so we are bring updated vaccination records from her doctor.

I also have photos of me, my wife, and children to show that we are living together happily as a family.  Basically, I have everything the interview letter recommends bringing for the K1, plus "evidence of relationship" documents.  It's a lot of paper, but I would rather bring it and not need it than wish I had brought it after the interview.

All this is in addition to the documents you mentioned . . . passport, birth certificate, and I-94.  If you applied for and received advance parole and ead for your K2, you should bring those as well.

    Good Luck!

    Jason

Thank you Jason for your reply! Yes I think I’ll do the same, pictures, school reports, doctors and insurance bill... and all that.
