  1. Packet 3 used to have forms you filled out and sent back.

    Now they're all online.

Book your medical, submit your DS-160 and readiness form, then register, pay, and schedual your interview. (If you're ready of course.)

Packet 4 used to be your appointment letter.

Now you pick and schedual it yourself.

Feel free to message me with any questions.

We were approved October 14th and are awaiting his visa in the mail.

    Goodluck!

Hi! I have done all that as soon as I received the letter from the embassy a few weeks back, interview on the 10th November and medical on the 1st November :)

I was just confused cause people kept saying they had SENT the packet back, thank you so much for your help and I will most definitely reach out if I have any other doubt :)

  2. Hi guys,

Weird doubt: I received the paperwork from the embassy, which is believe it's referred to as Packet 3, but I saw on many UK timelines that people say they have sent the packet 3 back and received packet 4.

I didn't send anything back, and the only "packet" I received was the envelope from the embassy telling me what to do next, after they received my petition from NVC.

    Could you please clarify this?

    Thank you

  3. Hi guys,

Thank you all so much for your help.

I got my tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis done twice already and the last time was less than 10 years ago.

The MMR, I got my mum to double check with my old doctor back in Italy and in my records it shows I got my second shot when I was 12, so that has been amended on my records and won't have to do that.

I have my flu jab booked with my NHS doctor for this weekend, so I will bring that in and I think that's all. I've had chickenpox when I was 9 so I believe I'm covered.

  4. It's a major hassle to have to get the vaccination supplement transcribed in the US for aos. Most civil surgeons will want you to redo the entire medical for $$$. It's hard finding one who will just do the vaccination supplement.

I would recommend making sure you have your vaccinations done prior to your medical or just pay to have them done at Knightsbridge. So either: go to your GP and get them done before the medical; pay to get them done at knightsbridge; or reschedule your medical for after when you're planning to get the shots done.

One way or the other, don't leave knightsbridge without having all the shots completed.

Edit: just reread that your work is offering them after your interview. I thought it said after your medical. In that case, go to your GP and get them done (or boots for the influenza). My husband'a gp didn't charge him for the MMR. Or just pay knightsbridge to do them. The hassle in the US will way worse than the hassle to do it now before your interview.

Okay, thank you! I booked the FLU vaccine with my GP to be done before the medical and I checked my immunization records and MMR and tetanus have been done already, so I don't think I'll have to do any vaccines when I go to Knightsbridge.

As per your knowledge, do I have to redo the MMR if I have done it already once in my life?

  5. Hi guys,

I have a big doubt that the people at Knightsbridge doctors couldn't help me with.

I am originally from Italy, I obtained my immunization records and I got it translated. I have all the vaccinations needed and I got a booster for the tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis less than 10 years ago (meaning I won't have to get that one done).

My work is giving us free flu jabs, but I'm getting mine done the week after the interview, same applies for the MMR.

Now the question is, if I don't get those done before the interview, but still have them after, can I just bring my proofs to the US so I don't have to pay for them again when I do the AOS? Or do they have to be necessarily before or on the medical day for them to be used when filing for AOS?

    Thank you

  6. You are welcome, yes I saw where you posted, but as I have been around for a while and gone through the process twice, I figured I would help out. Does not matter what embassy you are going through easy or difficult, you never know even at easy embassies there are always a few oddball difficult interviews. So yes it is always beneficial to be over-prepared, even if it is unlikely you would be asked for additional information.

Yeah I will most deifinitely over prepare ahaha, I'm a very anxious person when it comes to this type of things. Thank you for your help, much appreciated :)

  7. The question here really is will printing a few photos and taking them along make you feel more relaxed about the interview? As long as you sent some proof of ongoing relationship in with your initial petition, you don't need more for the London Embassy, but if you want to take some just in case then do it.

I speak from recent experience at the London Embassy (my interview was 30th September). I took some extra proof but it wasn't asked for, but at least I felt prepared for the eventuality that it would be needed.

Yeah that's exactly what I've read in other threads. Most people take a load of stuff with them just to be on the safe side, but the embassy doesn't even want to look at it. I will print a couple of pictures and our boarding passes for our last holiday, that way I'll feel more at ease :)

Thank you all for your help!

  8. Yes you should bring proof of ongoing relationship, itineraries are not helpful you will need other evidence such as ticket stubs/passport stamps/ receipts. A few pictures could be helpful.

    Hi Kastrs,

Thank you for your reply, but I posted on the UK thread because things change from embassy to embassy and I know that London is not as strict as others, thank you anyway.

  9. Hi guys,

I hope you're all well. I have my interview at the London embassy on the 10th November and we have all our documentation ready. I was just wondering if you guys recommend bringing proofs of ongoing relationship or not?

I read in most threads that London isn't fussy about that, but I still printed out our itineraries for past trips together and for our Xmas holiday. Do you think it'd be worth to print some pictures too?

    Thank you

  10. That's not the London process.

You need to take your UK police certificate to the medical. You could go ahead and make the appointment if you know it will be arriving soon. They come pretty quickly.

Once you have a date for the medical and have the documents you need to take to the interview, you can send the Readiness form. You can also pick your interview appointment online.

    London instructions: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

Thank you, I just did it all and I'm about to book my interview.

  11. Hi guys,

We received our NOA2 on the 15th August, our case is now "READ" on the CEAC website and we are gathering all the documents we need.

I'm the beneficiary, so I got my birth certificate (translated), my italian police certificate (translated), my immunization records (translated), my D-160 and I'm now waiting on my UK Police Certificate to be sent to me. I also have my fiance Affidavit of support with supporting documents and I'm waiting to book the medical as I've read I need to have my police certificate before booking it.

When should I submit the notification of readiness? As soon as I get a medical appointment or after the medical?

    Thank you

  12. Forget all that Packet 3 and 4 talk. Everything you need to know is explained on the London embassy website if you will click and read all the links to different information.

If you haven't already, you can read the London instructions and get ready for when your case arrives in London.

Read the links 1-7 here https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/

The link Applying for the Visa is the explanation of the paperwork and interview appointment part.

Medical link tells how to make appointment and what to bring. Has a link to a form to fill out that has a shot chart.

Document link tells what to gather before interview.

    Right now--

Go to GP and get shots sorted and a list of what you have had.

    Order police certificate

    Thank you :)

  13. Hi guys,

we finally got approved by USCIS and today we also got our NVC number.

Now we're getting ready to gather all the documents needed for packet 3&4.

I can't find anything CLEAR about either of them and thought I'd come here to ask for advice.

So in order for me to send back the packet 3 I have to make sure I have:

    - DS-160;

    - passport photos;

    - passport;

    - my birth certificate (I'm the beneficiary);

    - my police certificates (one for Italy and one for England)

    - proof of ongoing relationship;

    - affidavit of support.

After I send the packet 3 back (I know I don't have to send any documents with that), they will send me the packet 4 with the scheduled interview or? Cause that's where I get confused.

Also, we already filled our DS-160 and have our confirmation page and everything, but I read somewhere that it has to be emailed to the embassy on an email address they provide in packet 3, is that true?

Sorry about all the questions but we need to do this right.

    Thank you

  14. well 69 days past for me, i see a lot of people gets their approvel at 55-60.

If i got my approvel 10 days ago i would say the same thing that time flew. But being unknown is frustrating. Thank you for your support though.

edit: i felt like i am being pissy :D but no i was just honest. didnt mean any bad. i hope i wont get misunderstood.

Oh no, not at all. It's perfectly within your rights to feel frustrated, I was just trying to reassure you that it will be over soon, just don't stress too much about it cause it won't do you good

  15. Congrats everybody who got their approvel. I am still waiting :( So frustrating. I feel like i am crying here everyday :D

Don't be upset, the wait is annoying but by obsessing over it you will just do harm to yourself and your state of mind.

I basically almost forgot about the petition and once we sent it me and my boyfriend made a vow to not speak about it until we'd get the approval, and trust me, TIME FLEW!

You will be accepted soon, just be patient and try to take your mind off it for a bit, so when you'll get your NOA2 it will be even more of a surprise.

    Good luck hun :)

  16. Hi guys,

    Hope you're all well.

I have a question about college. I graduated in Italy and since I decided to get straight into work when I moved to London, I'm thinking to start university again once I move to New York.

I was wondering if any of you knows if I will be eligible for student loan or not? I looked online but I don't seem to find anything helpful.

    Thank you!

  17. You've read that because there is no timeline sometimes it's a few days sometimes months. I haven't seen or heard of anyone getting a RFE for leaving employment off, not saying it doesn't happen but I haven't seen it. It really doesn't matter if he's the one immigrating..which it seems he is.

No I'm the one immigrating, he's the american citizen.

  18. It depends. That info wouldn't really be looked at I think as if you left out letter of intent or passport style pictures or signing the app. I would bring one to the interview revised and give it if it's asked for.

The things they send RFE for would be for the documents that you may have left out. For original docs if they actually needed. If you didn't add your passport pages or the back of the birth record.

As long as you submitted all you were required that is secondary info. If it's an error it SB OK.

I wouldn't loose sleep over this. Look over your app make sure you dotted all your t's and i's and make sure you signed.

    ?

Thank you, everything else is spotless. We attached all the documents required, filled and signed everything perfectly.

We filed at the beginning of June anyway, so I guess we'll just have to wait another 3-4 weeks to have our answer.

In case we do get an RFE, do you guys know how long does it take for them to look at the application again and approve? I've read many different things, people that had to wait as little as 4 days but also cases that didn't get accepted for another 2 months.

Possibly. No one can tell you for sure. Just have to wait and see.

    Thank you :)

  19. Hi guys,

I have a question. I was going through our K1 folder and when I looked at my fiance G-235A I noticed he forgot to add the date and occupation on one (and only one of the 5) of his "employment history" tabs.

Do you think this is going to result in an RFE?

    Thank you!

  20. I would also like to add that even though I am 100% Italian I look VERY VERY VERY middle eastern to the point where when I worked in Harrods (a UK department store where mostly Arabs shop) customers would speak arabic to me thinking I would understand. And the officer kept asking me questions like "were you born in Italy or somewhere else? Are your parents italian or from other countries? Is this the only passport you hold?"
