    I booked my ticket soon as I received P4 letter in email. I booked for June 20 for June 13 interview. For me it all worked out well.

    I think I've already addressed this for @NihalV on PM. @JBMG, you are right. You only need one PCC per country, if needed (based on length of your stay in that COUNTRY). What I'm not sure about is in what city would you get PCC appointment. That is the part that OP would need to address by contacting passport service help desk.

    Hello everyone.. Just wanted to thank you for your efforts in keeping your questionnaires up to date.. It's with your help I think I have finally found a trend in processing times and interview date notifications..

    Hopefully this will help some of you get a better idea of when you will receive your interview notifications.

    ==
    I just sorted our spreadsheet by interview city. And when I did that, I finally saw a trend about processing times "SD to CC".. And it looks like London is at about 8 weeks.

    SD to CC - DAYS SD to CC - WEEKS 57 8.14 58 8.29 58 8.29 58 8.29 53 7.57

    And regarding their interview date.. Last month were all given on May 31..  Looks like 'pjsr' had just missed that date as his CC was on June 1..  So if this is true.. hopefully they'll receive their interview notifications on June 30/July3rd ..  For an interview in August.

    ====
    So this is good news for the more popular countries.. They can get a better idea of when they'll get their CC and interview notification.. Thank you to everyone for filling out the questionnaire and keeping our spreadsheet up to date.. Finally I think we can see some real evidence that processing times are based on the country you come from...

    Just a quick shout-out to all the people here on VJ. You lot have been a great help. Those of you who are new and are scared of the horrible immigration stories you have heard, don't despair, you will find great help here.

    All the members of my family were so scared of all the stories they have heard about visa refusals and getting into AP limbo and all that, they were starting to get to me. Sceptic that I am, I didn't believe them all but when you start hearing more stories you get curious. I stumbled upon this site, in May last year (I never before had any intention of going to US, not even for a visit; so I had no idea about this source of immense knowledge on the subject) and started studying many cases where they were stuck at various stages. Some were genuine but they are a very VERY small percentage. I always had an argument with family when they freak out and instruct me how to go about immigration. I would rather hear from a VJ veteran than my family in this matter who had never visited this site or even USCIS for that matter.

    Sorry for going off of tangent. Long story short, if you follow the guidelines here and take good advices from some knowledgeable people here (of course not all advice are legit. You have to sort out, but you will most likely get the solution) you are less likely to meet failure. Most of the cases stuck in limbo are due to the lack of preparedness and in some cases fraudulent intent. If your relationship is genuine, and you have all the docents you have nothing to worry about.

    Thank you very much VJ. I fully intend to give back to the community what I have received and more.
    Congratulations!!!!

    She doesn't follow VJ. That's good for me.

    Just a note. Mumbai Consulate gives separate tickets for people from West India and South India. Make sure you are 1st in a queue for South India. Ask the Consular assistant specifically for this. Sometimes they forget to separate from the beginning and then they do it later. Your ticket number will start from "S" whereas ours started from. "W". They also interview in parallel so if you are early in queue, you will get out sooner.

    I look forward to your approval. Good luck.

    I really am and I finally don't have to alter my travel plans. I booked my tickets for June 20 about a month back. I am planning to surprise my wife. I haven't told her that I will be travelling on 20th. All the plans are coming to fruition. I guess if I selected my hometown for Visa pick up, I wouldn't have had to travel to Mumbai again but I didn't want to take any chances with my travel plans and thought it was worth one more trip to Mumbai.

    You have to pay green card processing fee of 220 $ after you receive your Visa and before POE.

    Approved. I was let in at 7:15 AM for 7:30 appointment. I was out by 9:15 AM.

    For people whose interview is at Mumbai Consulate, try to select your local language for interview, it takes a lot less time to get to your interview. The only reason for my late interview was that I select English language for my interview.

    I will post detailed interview experience at a later time when I reach home.

    Good luck everyone who are t different stages of application. You will all hear good news real soon.

    I selected the passport pick up location same as the consulate city even though it is 5-5:30 hours drive away in hope that I can get a couple of days early.

    P.S. They told me that I will receive the passport within a week.
