  2. Explanation: Entering the US via a NON-immigrant route (other than a K-1) with the intent to stay and adjust status is visa fraud. A person must enter with the intent of the classification of the issued visa. Having an approved I-130 makes no difference. Discussing it borders on violation of the Terms of Service here on Visa Journey. Members cannot: Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method. Do not restart this conversation in any way. Ignoring this in-thread warning could result in severe administrative action against OP's account -VJ Moderation
  3. The requirement to file a K-1 is having met once in the past 2 years. I think seeing each other every day for 7 weeks is sufficient for a K-1's meeting requirement. Good luck on the journey.
  4. ****OP has received accurate information for the question. This topic is now locked to further comments as it borders on a prohibited topic***
  5. This is what we did. I added wife as authorized user to my existing Citibank CC. She then set up an account on CreditKarma. In about 3 or 4 months, she had an established credit report.
  6. This is how DQ normally works: 1. Case is DQ'd by NVC. 2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC. 3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month. 4. NVC schedules interviews for cases at the front of the line. 5. NVC schedules your interview when your case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate. 6. NVC notifies person of interview date via email. 7. NVC then sends case to consulate. After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

  8. Your tax returns might be required, but a copy is fine. Why would they need your husband's birth certificate? Where are you seeing that requirement?
  9. Won't that just mean a bottleneck at NVC and a longer wait for an interview?
  10. If the CO asks if your husband is still employed, you face a refusal. I suggest getting a qualified joint sponsor, an I-864, and all supporting paperwork ready. I would upload those to CEAC.
  11. Looks good to me. Good luck for a swift approval. I would file for citizenship when elligible.
  12. Did you happen to list a preparer for the I-751?
  13. I think I saw one of these a couple weeks ago. @OldUser is knowledgeable about G-28s, if that is the issue.
  14. I don't know why they would ask for your card.....Is there more to the letter after the bottom line shown? This looks like an RFE.
  15. Maybe not. That would require the cooperation of both USCIS and the judicial court. I think you can maybe try to make a case for a waived fee based on a typographical error since they could have printed the certificate in the new name even before the judicial process.
  16. What was their mistake? Are they required, by law, to conduct judicial oaths?
  17. Some people have waited for as long as 8 months within the last year, but it seems to be getting faster.
  18. Only if the CO asks about it. Otherwise, don't volunteer information like that.
  19. I doubt Amsterdam will be a problem. But, it's a little late to be worried about visits at this point. Good luck. I don't think that will be a problem.
  20. Have you already filed the I-129f? If not, why not marry and start the spousal visa process?
