Usually, after you reply to an RFE, approval is not far behind.

Hopefully, you'll get your NOA2 shortly.

Is NOA2 the Approval of application or Affidavit of Support?

NOA2 is approval of your petition only, it doesn't mean your fiance will get the visa. After NOA2, it's up to the Embassy to either approve or deny a visa and that's when Affidavit of Support comes into play.

So, does anyone know if those of us with "newer" applications (received RFEs regarding the IMBRA law but do not have our NOA2 yet), now have to wait until those who do have their NOA2s,but have not received said RFEs, reply to the RFE and THEN they will look at our case until they're done with the "older" applications? That seems like the Ethical solution, but not the logical solution.

I put mine in binder/folder type of thing. It was similar to the ACCO clips, but protected my application more and it makes it easier to pull out specific pages out, instead of having to take apart the whole thing just to pull out one page ( I thought). At first, I was kind of skeptical about punching holes, but I don't regret my decision.

I included proof of relationship as well. If they don't need it, they can just toss it away. I rather overload them with information than to not send enough and get an RFE and slow down the whole process (even moreeeeee).

Looks good, except for the None and N/A part..they tell you to use either one, I'm not sure if "No prior spouses" is acceptable. I guess this issue is debatable, so go with your gut feeling

I was transferred from NSC to CSC and have yet to receive the RFE too. The only thing I figure I can do is watch others who are getting their RFE's, sending them back and what responses they are getting once the service center has received the completed RFE's.

And then I sit and wait for the same thing to happen to me...

still no NOA1 when i checked my mailbox last night but at least the check cleared my bank today so i'm sure it would be well on it's way

Is there any way that you can get a hold of the check? Your case number is on the back of your check, once you have that, the NOA1 is pretty useless I think

I know a couple who did just that. After they got married, they applied for AOS. I don't really know the details, but I know it wasn't easy, or cheap. They had to hire an attorney and pay a hefty fine. This was 2 years ago, I'm not sure if things have changed since then.

Not to burst your bubble or anything, but 5 months is kind of unrealistic. You also don't mention what Service Center you will be using which makes a huge difference. Even if it was Vermont, 5 months is still unrealistic. Some people who applied in March have not even received their NOA2 yet. Remember that since it's first come, first serve (supposedly, but I don't think that's true at all), there cases have priority over yours. I think you should give yourself at least 9 months.

Ok, this is getting strange now, I got touched today again. I hope they´re just making sure the´re ready to approve our case instead of realizing they lost forms or sending us into limbo.

A question relating to this, when writing my letter, should I mention multiple times we've see each other in the 2 year time period? Or should I just focus on one (the first one)?

You can probably focus on the first time you met in the evidence of meeting section, then mention the multiple times you've seen each other in the proof of relationship section. IMHO, it's better to overload them with information than to not send enough.
