  1. Also might be helpful to ask for the negatives incase you need more copies or get many prints of the same photos :)

Will do that too, thanks for your help  i'm all nerves now...

They were pretty picky with my citizenship application in 2002 :crying:

So we have to do whatever possible to "please" them in any way...

PS: Very nice "signature", me encanta esa cancion de Juanes, aplica muchisimo a la situacion por la que todos nosotros estamos pasando... Suerte y que Dios les bendiga

    Gracias, igualmente :)

  2. I think what they're doing is ridiculous. I do not understand why it was so difficult to update form I-129F BEFORE the IBMRA law went into effect. The law wasn't approved on March 5th, didn't they have enough time to get the forms updated? We are talking about 3 questions here!!! Sigh.

I feel so bad for those of you with recalled petitions. I think it's completely outragous that they're basically "taking back" their approval.

It's like stealing candy from a kid.

And also, just because those of us who are only in the NOA1 stages are already getting the RFEs does not mean we're ahead. Who knows what's gonna happen to us. Maybe our petitions will sit idle for months until they take care of EVERYONE.

Oh well. Life aint fair. :(

  3. I spoke with a nice person at USCIS who told me about the current status of the "recalled applications" to the Vermont Service Center.

The "files" were recalled along with the "Petitions" from the foreign embassy. My petition was still on its way back to square one so I could be sent my IMBRA addition (ironic considering we met in USA and IMBRA is applied to all K-1's now).

So now she tells me that once my file and petition are together in the office I will get my RFE and my case along with everyone else affected will be expedited. She said the RFE's sent out due to IMBRA will be mailed in bulk from the Vermont Service Center.

How can that be true if I am hearing that other people using the Vermont Service Center have already got their RFE's?

She said my case was of course recalled like everyone else's due to IMBRA, but I am hearing that other people have already gotten their RFE.

Let me if anyone is along the lines of my timeline and has heard back from the VSC.

    Thanks

Maybe she meant "bulk of day" ?

I think everyone who's gotten an IMBRA related RFE have been those whose petitions have not been approved yet (easier to catch maybe?). I don't know if anyone with a NOA2 has. I'm not certain though.

  4. Yeah, I'm almost 100% sure you will. When I moved to the US 359 years ago, they made me retake my picture about 50 times.

My fiance did the same thing, and had to run all over town and did not find a place that would do it with a white background. Eventually he found a place that just used the wall (doh!).

I did what aussiewench suggested and printed out the scanned picture using kodak's glossy photo paper and my dad's jet printer. They came out great!

  5. Does anybody know if there’s a place online where we can get copies of those customs forms that we fill out during flights? I was just wondering because I thought it’d be kinda cool if I could send him a copy just so he knows what to expect. I tried looking for something along these lines in the posts but couldn’t find anything

I think I saw a copy in the gallery. Let me check.

    that one?

  6. Sounds more than a little paranoid to me but what do I know.

Paranoia, paranoia, everybody's coming to get me.

No, I do not work for USPS. I am actually a USCIS agent in charge of denying petitions of I'm-better-than-everyone-know-it-alls. Even if you do not state your name or your location, we can track your location and take satellite pictures of your internet activities.

    Uncle Sam's watching

  7. Believe it or not, there are USCIS people on this forum and others who may not appreciate certain comments. I won't take any chances of compromising my K-1 process.

Hmm, that sounds a little paranoid. I highly doubt USCIS people have time to be browsing through forums. If they ARE reading this, then good, they can see how much we are suffering, especially those who have been waiting for 6+ months just for a NOA2.

Not really, you must understand the U.S. Government mentality. They would most certainly browse this site, as it might offer insight to the overall perspective on their job performance. From the customer's viewpoint, that is.

I have worked for the U.S. Government, so I feel well qualified to make the above statement. I have made several inflammatory remarks about the USCIS. Therefore, I would not want those comments matched with my K-1 petition.

    Would you?

I DO work for the goverment, and our motto is "hurry up and wait". I don't think anything I've said in this forum will hurt the process of my petition, if anything, it will actually help...maybe.

  9. I don't know if it's illegal or not, but before the answering service lets you talk to a human, it asks you to enter some kind of pin(I guess similiar to a case number) , and if you don't have a pin, it tells you how to get it/buy it. It's like you're purchasing calling rights. I don't really know. It's not expensive or anything, probably a few cents. But still, that aint right. He e-mailed them too, and was told the same thing.

  10. Usually, after you reply to an RFE, approval is not far behind.

Hopefully, you'll get your NOA2 shortly.

Is NOA2 the Approval of application or Affidavit of Support?

    NOA2=Approval

Thas cool but seems Affidavit of support would come before it was approved?

NOA2 is approval of your petition only, it doesn't mean your fiance will get the visa. After NOA2, it's up to the Embassy to either approve or deny a visa and that's when Affidavit of Support comes into play.

I see.... cool. Money not a problem. I make mad loot lol

No wonder why you're so excited about the Affidavit of support :)
