  1. i called and they told me it might be a delay today is 2 weeks since they got my case

ill call all this week to ask

I don't think it's necessary to call everyday, especially since technically they are still within the 42 day limit that they said they would need to have a case number... maybe calling once or twice a week will suffice. Being patient is really all we can do. I understand your eagerness though. I wish time would go by a little faster to make this whole process more bearable :clock:

  2. 2 weeks waiting for case number and still nothing

I had to wait 3wks from my NOA2 to get my case number. I called them after waiting 2wks and the lady told me they received my case but they didn't put it into the system yet, and that I would have to wait up to 6wks for a case number. A week after that, I got a "Welcome" email and the invoice for AOS. You can give NVC a call and ask if they have your case number ready because sometimes they don't send an e-mail

  3. Hi

What i'm asking What Primary document do you use to enter the Philippines: US or PH passport ? Do you use the PH to enter but tell them that you are an US citizen ? or use the US passport to enter but tell them that you are PH citizen? do they stamp both passports or one ?

I always just used my US passport since I never got my PH passport. I've never had any problems in the 5yrs I was studying in the Philippines.

  4. my wife is a naturalized US citizen, she also acquired Philippine citizenship (through birth). Most Philippinos (PH) enter the Philippines with their US passport but I thought that the PH Consular say that they should be using their PH passport when entering the PH and advise immigration that they are also a US citizen. If you enter the PH with US passport you are considered a tourist and can only stay 30 days but with PH passport you can stay for years and work etc. Has anyone done this?

What is the rule to enter the PH with US or PH passport ? What are the repercussions consequences ?

I am dual citizen also (born in the Philippines, U.S. citizen through my parents), and I went to school in the Philippines. I never got a Philippine passport (for some reason my parents never wanted me to), even though I was advised to do so when I went to the Philippine embassy in NYC. I would go home to the US once a year, and every time I went through Philippine immigration they always questioned why I stayed so long. I would just show the original dual citizenship papers from the Philippine embassy, and then they would let me through with no other questions asked.

  5. I had seen that Potomac was cranking out NOA2's but have not in a few days. We are getting so close. Anybody know why they slow down and have gaps?

The way they process things in Potomac is unpredictable. They definitely don't go in order... depends on the person that gets your case I guess. My PD was 2/25 and I just got approved 5/6, so I'm sure they'll be getting to you soon!

  6. I am a bit worried cos my wife did not send any picture of our wedding, marriage cert.or any other documents along with the I-130 petition..pls can somebody something to make calm down about this?

Hi there! My petition for husband just got approved today (Yay!) and this is all I included with the i-130:

    - G-325A forms (one for me and one for my husband)

    - 2x2 pictures (one of me and one of my husband)

    - copy of my US passport

    - copy of our marriage certificate

    - copy of our child's birth certificate

That's it. Not even pictures... although I'll make sure my husband will have some during his interview.

You said your wife didn't send your marriage certificate? She more likely will receive an RFE, if that's the case.
