Like I said, it can take up to 6wks for them to assign a case number and send an invoice. If it has been at least 3wks since NOA2 and you don't have a case number yet, I suggest you call NVC once a week to ask on the status of your case. The standard answer they usually give you is 6wks to get a case number.

NVC has been a little slower than usual in issuing case numbers lately; it may take up to 6wks for them to receive your case and assign a case number and invoice.
You can learn more about the NVC process here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

what is DCF..? nvc has completed review on documents whatever i have sent .. now they are processing to schedule to appointment at us embassy at mumbai for interview..
According to your profile, you filed via direct consular filing (DCF) which is why I thought that. But anyway, from looking at the case complete to interview spreadsheet, members of VJ interviewing in Mumbai waited about 1-2wks from their case being completed at NVC to receive an interview date.
-
Are you doing DCF? I'm not too familiar with the DCF process, but I'm sure if NVC approved you, they should have already given you an interview date. And don't they only do DCF in New Delhi?

Yea I just got off the phone myself to see if they received my mail and they said it takes them upto 6 weeks to get a mail and then few more weeks to assign the case and contact us and then a month or more to start working on it. I guess this is a standard answer they give everyone. I will call them once a week to see if they received my case. Did anyone else do that? I guess 30 days is normal processing days right now? That is what my NOA2 said.
Yes, 6wks is their standard answer for everything
When it has been at least 3wks since NOA2, I suggest calling once a week to stay on top of things. Although I noticed it has been taking longer than usual for people to get their case numbers lately.

It depends on your country... for some it can be as quick as one week after case complete, but for others it can take over a month.

waiting for cc still at nvc they are saying 6 weeks ????
Someone that had a scan date of June 6 just got CC today. NVC is moving at the expected pace of 30-32 days to review cases. Just be patient, our time will come soon!

As long as you file your paperwork correctly and provide all the necessary documents, based on the experiences of members here, I'm estimating it will be at least another 4 months. The NVC process will go quickly if you begin gathering all the documents now so that when you have paid for all your fees you can send the documents immediately.

Hi! Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary?
Your case will be sent to NVC, where they will issue you a case number and invoice number; this can take up to 6wks. While waiting, I suggest gathering all required documents that you will need to send to NVC. (You can read on the NVC process here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process ) Once you get your case number, you can pay for all the necessary fees and fill out the necessary forms. You will send your documents to NVC and wait for them to review your case (which can take up to 6wks from the time they receive your documents). Once your case has been completed, NVC will schedule your interview with the embassy in your country. Good luck!

You can go here to pay the fees: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

It is really your preference, but personally I think it's better to just fill out the form on the computer and then print them out & sign them.

Scan date: 2 June 2016
Case Complete: 5 July 2016
Congratulations!
I hope to get my CC within the next week! *crosses fingers*

And Eid is this week so consulate may be closed for couple of days.
Oh yes, that's correct
It just so happened that the US just had a 3-day weekend, and then there's Eid this week also; so due to the holidays, the slight delay in scheduling your interview was inevitable, but at least NVC has a good excuse hehe

Hi! I understand your eagerness to get this process over with (I'm the same way), so I looked through the case complete to interview spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xbLl_8yDgHLeDaLnTrPdYc44J0sjPSFfYCKxlKx6uTY/edit#gid=0) for you and it looks like the most recent VJ member to interview from Israel is on July 15th, they got CC on May 10th, and they didn't get an interview letter until May 27th. So they waited about 2.5wks for an interview letter, which means you might get your interview either this week or next week (just based on the spreadsheet). Try to stay positive... your interview will be scheduled soon I'm sure

Hi! You can find information on DCF for a spouse here (under I-130): https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/international-offices/philippines-uscis-manila-field-office
Make sure you also have an NSO certified Marriage Certificate, along with your application and evidence of bona fide marriage
Good luck!

Two questions, how often should you call the NVC to check if a case is complete? Second question, what is the likely hood of a September interview.
If you would like to check for case complete (instead of calling NVC), you can log in to the CEAC website and see if the AOS fee has changed from PAID to N/A. That usually means your case has been completed. As for a September interview, NVC hasn't started scheduling for September yet, and it also depends on your country. You can search for your country in the case complete to interview spreadsheet to get a rough estimate of how long it will be until your interview.

is it really 6 weeks at nvc anyone
It can take up to 6wks to receive a case number, and also up to 6wks to get CC. It probably won't take 6wks but that is the usual time frame NVC gives.
-
Let me know if you need any help on your journey just relax while waiting for your case complete
Thanks
I'm finding it more and more difficult to have patience; probably because I miss my husband (I haven't seen him since May last year). But I'm sure once we have an actual interview date set I won't be as impatient. The whole not-knowing-when thing is really what bothers me the most.

Hi friends i am new in this forum . I saw this forum and wanted to add myself too. So we can all help each other in this journey. I am an april filer and i got my NOA2 on june 8. My case was transfer to the nvc on june 17. But i havent hear anything after that . I read a post by farzram and it gave me some hope. Otherwise i was worried evryday as i saw many cases were already received by nvc. Hopefully it will reach to nvc soon.
Hi! It can take up to 6wks for NVC to issue you a case number, so patience is definitely needed. I'm waiting for my case to be reviewed (my scan date is June 9th).

It's tough for some people to sleep on the plane; that's why I always hope the movies are good, otherwise the flight feels like it's a lot longer than it already is.
-
I've never flown out of Philadelphia to go to the Philippines... I've always left from JFK. But yes, the flight is incredibly long, which is why I always book a late night flight so at least I can sleep for the first 6-7hrs of the flight ?
-
Hi! Yes, you're probably just a month behind me, in terms of progress

Yesterday se got the approval ?? 2 weeks ago we send our RFE .. Somebody can tell me what's next please ?
Congratulations on your approval! Now you need to wait for USCIS to send your case to NVC, where you will receive a case number. You can begin to gather all necessary documents while you wait, because it may take up to 6wks to get a case number from NVC.
You can go here to read up on the next steps: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Hi my stepdaughter just got approved for her i-130 petition yesterday how fast is NVC moving these days and what to expect thanks for sharing your thoughts
NVC seems to have slowed down in giving case numbers; it may take up to 6wks to get one. My suggestion is while waiting for your number, you should begin gathering the necessary documents and filling out the i-864 so that by the time you get your number you can send your AOS & IV packages immediately.
