Anyone else still waiting? Next month will the one year anniversary of when I was first notified I was awaiting my interview scheduling by the New York City office.

Currently waiting on a call back about an Infopass appointment as the stamp I received in December 2020 is set to expire again. Been advised it may take 30 days for them to call me to set up an appointment, which I didn't realize.

I'm travelling out of the country for two weeks in early November (returning on 18th November). If I'm unable to get an appointment (and the updated stamp) prior to departing for my trip, there won't be any issue with me returning to the US if my stamp expires mid-December, right?

We are still waiting. My wife's 551 stamp will expire end of November. I guess we need to call right away for Infopass appointment?  Previously we were only allowed to call 30 days before it has expired. Has this changed?  The problem is in Georgia they have tied the expiration of Driver's license to it.  We got our notice letter for "waiting for interview" in August 2020.....we tried our congressman, and were told nothing can do, waiting for the local Atlanta office to book the interview.

  2. so its now been a year since our case was transferred to NBC, Lee's Summit , MO as of today.

We haven't got a notice since. Called USCIS when the time was 24 months to process. the agent agreed it was outside processing time that day, While waiting for the call back, they changed the time to 36.5 months. So when the Tier 2 agent called back , all they told my wife is that she is within normal processing timing.  UGH....

Now I see the time has changed to 49 months.

We are not sure what to do next other than wait. The next challenge coming is she will have to get another I-551 stamp again this year.

We got one in December 2020. (at which time they took away her expired 2 year green card. The current I-551 will expire again this December.

Anyone have advice? USCIS is no help....is it time to call senator?  I see a few others here are still waiting as well.

Its just frustrating to see April 2019 and May 2019 start to get processing while we are still stuck.

They did change the time and it’s within 35 months. Check the UsciS website. I’m still waiting also. Just gotta be patient

We originally filed with SRC Texas, it says 4 to 8.5 months.

We are now at 27 months.  Got letter that was ready for interview Aug. 31, 2020.

So I see so many people who filed after us getting movement.

  4. We are still waiting, and I'm getting very frustrated. We called twice, waiting for a reply, got assigned a number. After calling a third time, the agent on phone agreed we were outside the processing time and would escalate to Tier 2. Today my wife gets call back and the Tier 2 says we are within normal processing time and they send an email trying to say it, but I don't see how, its now been 26 months!!!!!!!  we have been awaiting for interview assigned since the letter we got August 31 telling us they would be assigned interview time soon.   These people don't care, and I am not sure the Tier 2 agent didn't do any research on our case, just called to blow us off with saying we are in normal processing time.

What to try next? Contact Senator?

I believe @Lucky Cats wife is still waiting too, March 2019 filer I think? Either way, I would suggest contacting USCIS too. Certainly can't hurt, and it might even result in some movement. Ask for a Tier 2 call back, ask the Tier 2 about the process of getting the Ombudsman involved, they generally don't want that so maybe they make sure you get an appointment instead. Worth a shot.

So we have Called USCIS, and told them we are now 30 days outside the normal processing time. We were assigned a case ref number and told to expect a call back within 15 days to update us on the status of our I-751 case.

I am still waiting. Received my application on March 13 2019. Never received any letter but my case online updated on May 6th 2020 that is ready to be scheduled for interview. I'm still waiting and honestly don't know what to do. Extension letter was till mid December 2020 and I was convinced I just need to wait due to the Covid and that's what I've gotten from USCIS website to wait. My DL expired but luckily my state extended all licenses for a few months. I am not sure if there needs to be something done on my side? I was planning vacation to visit my family but due to pandemic and more importantly no official documents that I can I don't think it's going to happen. Any insights what to do? I'm trying to read the thread but there's so much info I'm not sure which one applies to me.

We are waiting also.  Its nearly 23 months since we applied. I believe it was August 31,2020 when we got notice our case was transferred to the National Benefit Center at Lee's Summit, MO.

We have called the USCIS twice since then, one checking on status, they said just wait.

Then we had to call back and schedule appointment to get the I-551 so my wife could renew her driver's license, at that appointment they took away her 2 year green card that was expired.

We are also wondering what is taking so long and why we can't get an interview scheduled. I'm not sure what we should try to do next.

U do not call the 202 number. That is the number they call u back from.  You call the 1-800 number press 9 and zero then 9 and speak to a call center rep which would then schedule a call back in 5 business days and the 202 number is what they would be calling you back from.

i called back n tried the samething they changed it up AGAIN... so try just saying need to schedule infopass. I did that n got someone. Don’t be discouraged

How soon could you get your infopass appointment after the call back from USCIS?

We are in a bad situation where my wife's driver license is going to expire and we are still waiting for the call back. If they wait the maximum 7 days, I don't see any way we will be able to get her license renewed by the time it expires with the upcoming thanksgiving holidays next week.

They do call back and when they do they would Call back from  (202) 838-2200... I saved their number, so I’m not missing their call or mistaking them for a spam caller

I’m beginning to think they will not call back. We got an email from USCIS basically stating to call back USCIS and start over. The email says nothing about a 48 hour call back.

If you try to call back the 202 number it says you get a call back in 48 hours . So far we have not and it was Tuesday night 8:28pm when they tried call. Since they say they close at 8pm  we are still dumb founded we got a call so late in the evening. Fair warning to all, now that it happened to us.

just so frustrated ....We did what were supposed to do and called 30 days before the extension letter expired and this is frustrating since my wife’s license expires in just a few weeks.

Unless we get the call today , will be starting over with the request.

we are in the same situation. we called, then they said too early, then we called back 30 days out, We called USCIS last time on November 3rd. told to wait for call back for appointment within the next week.

2 year card expired June 3, 2019. So I our 18 month is up Dec. 3rd. In our State, they tied the driver's license expiration to the extension letter date. So we have to get a extension, to get my wife's license renewed or her license expires next month.

We continue to wait for interview. Case was transferred to NBC on August 31st. Bio appointment was completed almost a year ago.

Well, the wife missed the call. They called at 8:28 pm at night. I don't know what to do now. Call USCIS and start all over again. I'm reading in most cases they don't call back.  Is that true?

    Hello,

I called this morning and spoke to a regular representative about my situation.

They told me the same that someone will call within 5 business days to discuss if an appointment can be schedule for a stamp on passport.

By the way, I called a month ago and they didn't accept it because my extension letter was still valid until today...

    Let see.

we are in the same situation. we called, then they said too early, then we called back 30 days out, We called USCIS last time on November 3rd. told to wait for call back for appointment within the next week.

So we were waiting all this time for interview. ( in which I'm surprised with all the detailed information I submitted that we got an interview request, we have a child, we have joint accounts, house in both names, etc, etc)  I even called to check status and was told everything is ok still waiting for interview schedule.

Now suddenly a few weeks ago. we got letter transferring us to Lee's Summit. There is no mention of interview in the transfer notice, and we are still waiting again.

Any ideas on what this means or what to expect. Our extension letter expires in December.

So our 18 month extension letter expires in 45 days now. I"m trying to call USCIS, the wait is a very nice 74 minutes.

In Georgia they tie your drivers license expiration to the 18 month extension letter, so without a new letter, I think its impossible to renew the driver license.

what have others done to get an new extension letter? just call?

I seen so many other people get interviews or approved. We are very frustrated with the wait. It has been 11 months since the Fingerprints.

    SRC here.

We got notice of transfer by email in May 6. The email said they are ready to schedule interview.  Never received the letter in the mail.

At the end of May, we went online and filed on the USCIS website to get our notice, it said we should get something by June 18th.

    We did not.

Here we are end of July, never got a letter in the mail about the transfer/interview, and no update online since April.

Any other SRC in the same position? Stuck since email notification of transfer/interview?

Same here . Think we ll be interviewed . Not had one yet over here . Last one was consular for k1

That seems strange to me. Our evidence is overwhelming. We have a child, home in both names, bank account in both names, taxes filed together last 3 years.....life insurance beneficiary named as my wife, I can go on.......etc etc.

Why would we need an interview....I submitted just about everything possible to show joint relationship.
