  1. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

You can use cover page either AOS or IV I scanned all pages individually. For example I864 each page got a file then you will name each file

    Example:

    RDJ000000 Smith John I864 PAGE 1 OF 8.....

    RDJ000000 Smith John I864 PAGE 2 OF 8....

all scans like that attach them to one email and send. Just be sure to identify each document in the file name and always use name and case number. Each attachment can't be more than 5mb

  2. There are two rules.

A USC stepparent can only petition for a child if the marriage occurred before the child's 18th birthday. If the child was 18 or older when the marriage occurs, then the child is not considered a child of the USC stepparent for immigration purposes.

For immigration purposes, a child under age 21 when you file is considered an Immediate Relative. If the USC stepparent files after age 21, then it would be an F1 case if the child is unmarried.

If they have reached the age of majority in Brazil, they do not need their father's permission to immigrate.

It can be confusing when one set of laws consider them as adults and another set of laws consider them as children. It boogles the mind that they can be considered adults for one purpose and children for another while seeking immigration visas.

Thank you so much for the reply. This eases my mind. Hasn't been easy but I see light at the end of the Tunnel. Thank you again

  3. You sent both the AOS package and IV package before you paid your IV fees? Did you have to sign up somewhere or just send it in directly? Just trying to understand how the process works. Thanks, just trying to figure how to do this the quickest.

I sent both AoS and IV after paying AoS. Just follow the directions on NVC Website.

Add the files in the order stated on the AoS cover page. And each page is its own file. For example I864 has 7 pages. So scan and save each page individually. The name of files should be your case number name of beneficiary and then name of document and page number if necessary.

  4. Other way around, it is Oct 1st through March 31st.

    Ooops Yes your right thanks....

    Q. When does the flu season start for purposes of the seasonal flu vaccine requirement? Since the seasonal flu vaccine is required, do I have to get the seasonal flu vaccine if it is not the flu season?

    A. For purposes of the immigration medical examination, the flu season starts on October 1 and ends on March 31 each year. If your immigration medical examination is during this period, you are required to have the seasonal flu vaccine. If you have an immigration medical examination completed between April 1 and September 30, when it is not the flu season for immigration purposes, you are not required to document that you have received the seasonal flu vaccine.

  5. <p>

Im waiting for my NOA2 as well and taking vaccines slowly, so I don't have to get them all at once. you will need those vaccines:

    • MMR
    • Td or Tdap or DT or DTP or DtaP (One date must be no longer than 10 years ago)
    • Varicella (if you had chickenpox, History gets you a waiver)
    • Influenza (during flu season)
Remember its during United States Flu season October 31st to March 1st
  6. Ooohhh ok. You got it. Good. I just didnt want you to get over worried for nothing. GOOD LUCK. YES I understand what you mean by the dates none of them say it. But I researched it. And found it right on USCIS website. I made a copy and had it with me just in case. The Doctor must follow USCIS rules. Hope all goes well. GOD BLESS

  7. Okokok.... The Flu Vaccine at this point is going to be a problem.

    A. DO NOT worry about it because doctor knows and will waive it.

    B. DO NOT worry about it because FOR USCIS Flu season is from October 31 to March 1st.

For reference Google USCIS and Flu Vaccination. It says it there. Make a copy and take if need be.

I just want you to not be so worried about it. My wife and I were. Until I researched it. At the medical I personally asked the doctor confirmed it.

  8. They probably waived your wife because we were having a shortage of flu vaccines, since everyone was worried about H1N1. But I think after the shortage, they might require it again (although I can't say for sure). In any case, I decided to take because I didn't want to delay receiving my medical results.

Ok so since last week shortage ended????
